Safety is the most vital part of any type of industry. In the mining industry safety and security is a fundamental aspect of all. To avoid any types of accidents mining industry follows some basic precautions. Still accidents take place in underground mines due to rise in temperature, increased water level, and methane gas leakage. Here we provide safety to worker. When worker in danger he can press panic switch inform security. To enhance safety in underground mines, a reliable communication system must be established between workers in underground mines and fixed ground mine system. The communication network must not be interrupted at any moment and at any condition. A cost effective zigbee based wireless mine supervising system with early-warning intelligence is proposed in this project. Worker status can be monitor over IOT.

Coal mine is important and basic industries in the country, and it is very important to establish a sound, reliable coal mine safety monitoring system for the safety production of coal mine. The demand analysis was made for the development of coal mine safety monitoring system. It contains to build up the layout model of the standard coal mine underground production environment and set all kinds of underground transducers especially methane transducer. On this basis, the general design scheme of coal mine safety monitoring system was determined. Demand analysis and scheme design provided for coal mine safety monitoring system can meet the needs of practical application and establish the foundation for the subsequent system development.

Emergency response and disaster management in underground mines are very challenging due to the hostile nature. Environment monitoring in mines has been an obligatory requirement to ensure safe working conditions for miners. Reliable communication network is essential to quickly detect the underground condition especially in emergency situation and to conduct proper rescue operations. This chapter presents an overview of reliable communication network needed for emergency response and disaster management in underground mines. The chapter begins by introducing the most common accidents occurring in the mining, underground mine environment and channel properties. Subsequently, communications in underground mines, existing underground communication and tracking systems, and disaster forecasting & mine safety management are discussed. The chapter also covers post-disaster mine communications & tracking systems and optimized backbone networks for underground mines. Finally, the chapter concludes by reporting relevant research at Ryerson Communications Lab and pointing out some open issues and possible research directions.

In view of the particularity and high risk of coal mining industry, the decision-making behavior of multiple agents inside the coal-mine enterprise plays a very important role in ensuring the safety and sustainable development of coal mining industry. The existing literature studies on coal-mine safety production focus mainly on statically analyzing the game among the external entities such as the government, the enterprises themselves, and the employees inside the enterprise from a macro perspective, are short of research on revealing the dynamic interactions among the actors directly involved in the coal-mine accidents and also on proposals for effective interactions that will lead to improved safety outcomes. Therefore, this paper explores the use of evolutionary game theory to describe the interactions among the stakeholders in China’s coal-mine safety production system, which includes the organization, the first-line miners, and the first-line managers. Moreover, the paper also explores dynamic simulations of the evolutionary game model to analyze the stability of stakeholder interactions and to identify equilibrium solutions. The simulation results show that when certain conditions are met, the decision-making behavior of the organization, miners, and managers can evolve into the unique ideal steady state (1, 1, 1). In addition, the strategy portfolio with a relatively high initial proportion of three agents converges more quickly to an ideal state than a relatively low strategy portfolio. Moreover, the stable state and equilibrium values are not affected by the initial value changes. Finally, we find that the combination of positive incentive policies and strict penalties policies can make the evolutionary game system converge to desired stability faster. The application of the evolutionary game and numerical simulation when simulating the multiplayer game process of coal-mine safety production is an effective way, which provides a more effective solution to the safety and sustainable development of coal mining industry.

According to the demand of coal mine safety monitoring, this paper proposes an improved clustered wireless sensor networking scheme. It analyzes the node sleep and wake-up mechanism, topology control, routing protocol, and designs the corresponding routing protocol LEACH-i. Finally, it carries out the system simulation.

With the continuous development of Artificial Intelligence technology and Internet of Things engineering, more and more driver-less vehicles have been developed and put into the industrial production. The birth of driver-less vehicles undoubtedly brings new vitality to a large amount of industries, particularly in transportation. For the mining industry, transportation is undoubtedly an extremely important link in the whole production process. If the driver-less vehicles can be applied to the underground mines, it can not only improve the production and transportation capacity of the whole mine, but also can reduce the occurrence of many mine safety accidents. ZigBee Networks can play a greater role in the narrow environment like underground mines according to the relevant literature, this review mainly integrates the ZigBee Networks and the communication-based train control (CBTC) system to explore the possibility of the driver-less vehicles to be used in the underground mines, which aims to solve practical engineering problems. This review serves just as a guide to the Tossing out a brick to get a jade gem, has implications for the development of underground mine transportation.
