With 5G technology physical separation of SIM cards with mobile phone will be possible in coming days. Physical separation will help connecting remotely to various devices and easily for the mobile users to switch to new handsets with all data available on the other device too. The embedded Universal Circuit Card is form of programmable SIM card that can be embedded directly into a device with an objective to avoid to avoid sim card change in case where data, the application type or the operator is changed with less cost, less time and more efficiency. Major concern with use of ESIM is the mutual security between the user and the operator.

SummaryThe closing of an exchange requires cooperation from both speakers. When someone wants to end the dialog, whereas the other speaker doesn’t, conflict necessarily arises. The speaker reluctant to end the dialog is going to use every possible means to delay the closing, before the physical separation takes place. To prevent the closing, a speaker will usually use questions or orders, which compel the other to respond and prolong the exchange. He may also resort to summons (audin, sed quid ais) and addi- tions (thanks to the connective particles et, at and sed), or keep on speaking, without paying heed to the other speaker’s desire to leave. Whatever means the speaker may use to hinder the closing, the frequency of such passages in Plautus’ comedies is probably due to their comic effect.

Touch can create a feeling of intimacy and connectedness. This work proposes feelabuzz, a system to transmit movements of one mobile phone to the vibration actuator of another one. This is done in a direct, non-abstract way, without the use of pattern recognition techniques in order not to destroy the feel for the other. The tactile channel enables direct communication, i. e. what another person explicitly signals, as well as implicit context communication, the complex movements any activity consists of or even those that are produced by the environment. This paper explores the potential of this approach, presents the mapping use and discusses further possible development beyond the existing prototype to enable a large-scale user study.

Our study uses a qualitative analysis of social media discourse on a Facebook page to demonstrate how the phenomena of affective polarization and dehumanization are manifested through participation in a homogeneous enclave, or echo chamber. We employ Northrup’s theory of identity in intractable conflict to show how users express their desire for psychological and physical separation from the other and use dehumanizing language that normalizes potentially dangerous levels of hatred during their participation on a Facebook page. This study contributes to our understanding of the link between identity, affective polarization, and dehumanization.

The aim of this study is to investigate the use of WhatsApp application in anonymous peer assessment in higher education. The mobile phone application WhatsApp was used as both an anonymous and nonanonymous peer assessment tool in a classroom environment. The participants of the study were the students of two classes (sophomores and juniors), half of which were assigned to the anonymous peer assessment group and the other half to the nonanonymous peer assessment group for each class. The members of the anonymous groups used the personal messaging function of WhatsApp for assessment, whereas the nonanonymous groups used the group chat function of the application. WhatsApp was confirmed to be a valid tool for peer assessment, and it was shown that the required anonymity of the method was appropriate for the task. The students' perceived attitudes toward the procedure were found to be rather high, with no significant difference identified between the sophomores and junior groups related to the procedure.
