Creative industries and tourism is one sector that is easiest to improve the condition of the economy of a region. This study discusses the information distribution service usage model of mobile application technology using Location Based Service (LBS) and Global Positioning System (GPS) in the development of creative industries through integration with products of tourist destinations. By using the technology of location based services and global positioning system that will be developed and implemented on the application of geographic information systems and web-based mobile android, then the those creative industries would be material and guidance in utilizing information technology as a means to promote the business of creative industries it has to be more effective and efficient

Wireless communication has become important in location-based services. The enormous amount of data is extracted for useful information to solve the real world problem. Global positioning system, is used to captures the position of an object at specific time period. The scheme is finding the congested route by considering the number of vehicles in a road segment. It consists of two methods, firstly it finds the group of points based on consistency of route points and second it arranges the groups in sequence of values for each route

AbstrakSebuah smartphone umunya dilengkapi dengan Global Positioning System (GPS). Pengguna smartphone  disamping dapat mengetahui lokasi dirinya, umumnya juga ingin mengetahui lokasi sekitarnya. Foursquare merupakan salah satu jejaring sosial yang menyediakan layanan berbasis lokasi. Foursquare memiliki fitur check-in, untuk menandai lokasi pengguna.Dalam penelitian ini akan dikembangkan aplikasi pada perangkat dengan sistem operasi Android yang dapat mencari lokasi fasilitas umum di sekitar pengguna dengan memanfaatkan teknologi layanan berbasis lokasi. Aplikasi ini memanfaatkan data dari Foursquare. Hasil pengujian terhadap aplikasi yang dibangun menunjukkan filter data dan sistem auto check-in berjalan dengan baik sehingga duplikasi data dalam Foursquare dapat diminimalkan.  Kata kunci— Layanan berbasis lokasi,  Android, Foursquare, Fasilitas umum  AbstractA smartphone is equipped with Global Positioning System (GPS). A smartphone user may know  the location itself, and usually want to know the surrounding location. Foursquare is a social network that provide location-based services. Foursquare has a check-in feature to mark the location of the user.This research develops applications on devices with Android operating system that can find  location of public facilities around the user by using  location-based services technology.                 People nowdays have a high mobility that make some of obligation had been forgotten.the most important obligation for muslim is praying five times a day limited information about praying time sometime make the obligation had been neglected or even forgotten.usually when the condition is for far from mosque and/or in a trip.the information of qibla is needed for avoid this problem,especially in places or areas are far from mosque.               This application is a mobile application technology based Location Based Service (LBS) that is built on the Android platform, using Android Studio IDE and Google APIs in its development. In determining the time of prayers used two methods, by determining the time the degree of the sun and using a formula that is expressed with the time / clock, in determining the direction of the Qibla used two methods with the formula triangles ball and the position of the sun and the method of application also utilizes the Global Positioning System (GPS) which are applied with the help of Google Map.               This application is able to display Qibla direction and prayer schedules wherever the location of the nearest mosque user is located. Users can download the prayer schedule and location-based Qibla direction and displays the nearest mosque on user location is equipped with navigation features to reach the mosque by using the Google Map. Keywords: Android Applications , Mosque , Prayer Times , Qibla Direction , GPS , Google Map

Theadvancement of smartphones, global positioning system, and information technologies have a great influence on our travelling preferences and behaviour, dynamically shaping the transportation industry. In addition to providing convenience to the riders, it also has created some debate among the stakeholders, including the policy makers. This paper presents a quantitative study of Taxi service experience in Jordan. The aim of the study is to evaluate Jordanians’ experiences with yellow taxi services, assess their opinion toward advantages and disadvantages of Uber taxi services in Jordan and obtain opinions on the expected future of Uber taxi services.

Along with the development of smartphones and tablets world-widely, and the progress of mobile internet and Wi-Fi hotspots, users can acquire information via mobile devices anytime and anywhere.In recent years, Taiwan's tourism is flourishing, more and more foreign travelers come to visit Taiwan.Therefore, providing a user-friendly M-tourism system for foreign travelers can help them to experience more during traveling.We referred the theories of human-computer interface design to develop our M-tourism system—the LBS M-tourism Application.This system not only provides online traveling information, but integrates with location-based services (LBS). The LBS M-tourism Application can use global positioning system (GPS) technology, and provide traveling information or services to the user based on his/ her present location.

<p>In the advancing world of technology, Mobile applications are a rapidly growing segment of the global mobile market. Mobile applications are evolving at a meteor pace to give users a rich and fast user experience. Android operating system supports most applications in today’s technical world. It is an open source operating system which highly satisfies the user’s needs. In this paper, the applications that are location based i.e. the applications that make use of the Global Positioning System (GPS) is discussed. It is a space based satellite navigation system which provides details of time and location in all weather conditions anywhere on or near earth. We introduce PROFILER, a framework for constructing location centric profiles (LCPs), aggregates built over the profiles of users that have visited discrete locations. In addition to a venue centric approach, we propose a decentralized solution for computing real time LCP snapshots over the profiles of collocated users. In our System we find the corresponding location using Global Positioning and Service Provider also. This is to change the profile mode automatically and alarm notification enable automatically when you are going to reach corresponding location or Regular Location.</p>

Pisang Island is one of the leading objects of tourist destinations in Pesisir Barat Regency, Lampung Province and has a good potential to be developed for ecotourism. The present problems are the tourist visits that caused disruption and decline in the environmental quality it is important to know the maximum limit of tourist visits to prevent environmental damage. The purpose of this study was to analyze the carrying capacity of the ecotourism sites. The study was conducted in June 2018 - January 2019. The research method used a geographic information system (GIS). The tourism track data that was taken using a global positioning system (GPS) tracker processed using Arc Gis 10.3. The data obtained was then calculated to determine the ecotourism’s physical, real and effective carrying capacity. The results revealed that the physical carrying capacity at Pulau Pisang was 175,000 individuals/day, while for real and effective carrying capacity were 27,887 individuals/day and 744 individuals/day respectively. The number of visitors who visit during working days was below the carrying capacity. However, the visit was over the carrying capacity during a holiday such as Idul Fitri days. Therefore, it is necessary to limit visitors during holidays so that environmental sustainability and the comfort of the visit could be maintained.
