The two-body problem in central fields (reducible to a central-force problem) models a lot of concrete astronomical situations. The corresponding vector fields (in Cartesian and polar coordinates, extended via collision-blow-up and infinity-blow-up transformations) exhibit nice symmetries that form eight-element Abelian groups endowed with an idempotent structure. All these groups are isomorphic, which is not a trivial result, given the different structures of the corresponding phase spaces. Each of these groups contains seven four-element subgroups isomorphic to Klein?s group. These symmetries are of much help in understanding various characteristics of the global flow of the general problem or of a concrete problem at hand, and are essential in searching for periodic orbits.

Intelligent computing techniques have a paramount importance to the treatment of cybersecurity incidents. In such Artificial Intelligence (AI) context, while most of the algorithms explored in the cybersecurity domain aim to present solutions to intrusion detection problems, these algorithms seldom approach the correction procedures that are explored in the resolution of cybersecurity incident problems that already took place. In practice, knowledge regarding cybersecurity resolution data and procedures is being under-used in the development of intelligent cybersecurity systems, sometimes even lost and not used at all. In this context, this work proposes the Case-based Cybersecurity Incident Resolution System (CCIRS), a system that implements an approach to integrate case-based reasoning (CBR) techniques and the IODEF standard in order to retain concrete problem-solving experiences of cybersecurity incident resolution to be reused in the resolution of new incidents. Different types of experimental results so far obtained with the CCIRS show that information security knowledge can be retained with our approach in a reusable memory improving the resolution of new cybersecurity problems.

Functionaltheory in international organization, as James Patrick Sewell has observed, asserts that “the most desirable route to international community-building proceeds gradually from initial transnational cooperation in the solution of common problems.” In restating the theory in a series of operational propositions Sewell formulates three “conditions” of functional “international activities”: 1) They are “specific in their focus,” i.e., organized to attack some concrete problem or set of problems; 2) they are “non-controversial,” i.e., concerned with problems which can in some way be set apart as nonpolitical; and 3) they are organized “separately from each other and from international political organs.”

This review essay takes a critical look at two recently published edited volumes, both focusing on the notion and problems of solidarity. Solidarity: Theory and Practice (Laitinen and Pessi, eds.) attempts to unpack the complex idea of solidaristic practice by looking at a whole range of related concepts, such as the social brain, collective intentionality, empathy, work, and voluntary organizations. The Strains of Commitment: The Political Sources of Solidarity in Diverse Societies (Banting and Kymlicka, eds.), on the other hand, focuses on a concrete problem: the generation and maintenance of redistributive solidarity within societies marked by diversity. Still, both volumes take a thorough and systematic look at existing scholarship on solidarity, and by encompassing both the theoretical and the empirical, mark a significant step forward in deepening our understanding of the role and place of solidarity in general social theory.

Discuss this article logistics operation possibilities made possible from the needs and ideas sponsored by a company that sells hearing aids in a large city paulista inside: Campinas. It turns out that, to address the serious logistical problems of distribution of hearing aids in this city, the organization needed to innovate in the field of distribution of its products. Contextualizes that logistics is often intuitive, which, in practice, usually leads the manager to the study of the subject, always deserving of ratification and permanent study. The objective was to review central logistics issues, specifically aiming to expose how the discipline actually helped a particular organization to solve the concrete problem of distribution of its products. The methodological course is reviewed by literature and case study, justifying the research for its high practical value. The results obtained indicate the validity of the solution adopted by a certain company, this constant to go as far as the customer was through specialized vendors, presenting the measure the recovery and a significant increase in the clientele of the company studied.

Although Indonesia judicial review system is not opens the possibility of regulations review under the act against the constitution, das sollen pracitically these conditions may still occur. From political of law the legal authority of constitutional court should be able to put the interests of citizens rights that are based on the principles of recognition, guarantees, protection and legal certainty of a fair and equal treatment before the law. Given that changes in the constitution can not be done easily, then the judicial review in UUD 1945 should not be formulated too limitedly that restricting the organic law to complete and explore the authority that is adaptable to any concrete problem. Keywords: politics of law, constitutional court, UUD 1945, limitedly.

ABSTRACTThe following article intends to focus on gender violence in Brazil, especially one of its manifestations, crimes of passion, through analysis of texts by authors listed here who have learned about this theme throughout the history of Brazil. So we start with a concrete problem which is: crimes of passion can be considered gender issues? Starting then, this theme, we identified elements in the legal literature pointing in that direction and support this assertion. In the meantime, episodes related to crimes of passion involving adultery or suspected adultery had a different treatment. In the state's patriarchal slant markedly macho men when accused of adultery received benevolent treatment. Unlike when they were accused of adulterous women, received the society, the reproach and many men were acting against them in the most violent, responding to what society expected of them, ie, death or mutilation of women. So when we refer to crimes of passion or crimes of passion, we are dealing with a universe marked gender-based violence which includes analysis of various hues and trends. Keywords: violence, gender, crimes of passion. Identificador de Objeto Digital (DOI)10.5902/198136947171

This chapter first analyses Meillassoux’s critique, in After Finitude, of subject-object correlation and phenomenology. It then traces connections between passivity, radical reflection, and indirect ontology in Merleau-Ponty, to show how Meillassoux, contra Merleau-Ponty, takes the activity of thinking for granted and neglects passivity, in ways that lead to ontological confusions and assumptions about being's determinate character. The latter troubles Meillassoux’s ancestrality problem and leads him to overlook a radically contingent being indicated within correlation itself. The final section clarifies and supports this claim via physics, specifically the measurement problem in quantum mechanics—a concrete problem that Meillassoux does not discuss when he broadly invokes mathematics and science to support his position.

I attempt in this paper to do two things: to offer some comments about recent discussions of the suggested institutionalization of surrogacy agreements; and in doing so, to draw attention to a range of considerations which liberals tend to omit from their moral assessments. The main link between these concerns is the idea that what people want is a fundamental justification (other things being equal, of course) for their getting it. I believe that this idea is profoundly mistaken; yet it is an inevitable consequence of a liberal notion of the individual and liberals' extremely limited conception of harm. My intention, then, is to illustrate how unease about a concrete problem—whether or not surrogacy agreements should be institutionalized—might interact with dissatisfaction about liberal individualism to make clearer what the unease consists in and to suggest why liberal individualism is inadequate as a basis for moral philosophy.

Abstract Departing from a close reading of a particular performance to examplify localisation processes of the global Reality TV talent show format, this paper offers an analysis of the relationship between talent shows and patronage. Based on a concrete music and dance performance analysis, it further contributes to the more general discussion of transnational format trade and format adaptation by putting a focus on the entanglement of patronage, intervention and transformation. The analysis of the performance in question addresses how the musicians and dancers approached a concrete problem by creating a sense of belonging, involvement and disorientation through aesthetic means. With their critical stance, they position themselves in a specific local performing arts tradition, which itself is connected to earlier theatre and TV talent contests. Referring to the concept of glocalisation, I suggest that local topics of critique and intervention are part of the localising effect of the Reality TV talent show format.
