In closing, he stateshis hope that a better understanding of this phenomenon among the Muslimintelligentsia and the people at large will cause them to wake up to this dangerand begin to work for the preservation of the ”traditional culture of Islam.”Our first article in this issue is by Imaduddin Khalil, and addresses theQur’an’s relationship vis-his modem science. The article attempts to identify the conceptual philosophical ideas of the great thinker Abai in the conditions of the modernizing Kazakh society, in the age of globalization and information technologies, to reveal the ideological potential of Abai's creativity in solving the problems of spiritual development of Kazakhstan. In the era of globalization and post-industrial society, it is important to form spiritual values of a person, therefore, without claiming to cover all aspects of Abay's work, namely, on the material of the work «Words of Edification», the authors investigated the nature and essence of the philosophical and ideological ideas of the great thinker to understand the concept of «tolyk adam». This concept of «tolyk adam» will contribute to the formation of national identity and spiritual development of the people as an intellectual nation. Abai criticized traditions that did not correspond to high morals. The great thinker founded a new worldview, new spiritual values, which are fundamentally different from everything that was in the traditional culture of the Kazakhs. Abay developed a new ideal of a perfect person, «tolyk adam», who strives for knowledge, is a highly moral person, recognizes freedom of choice and responsibility. The moral code of the great humanist: «Adam bol», which means the ability to navigate in this world and the ability to choose and take responsibility, these words of Abai should become a reference point for generations.

The subject of this article is the role of mas in art culture of the Silver Age as a peculiar era of the “Russian Renaissance”. The term was introduced by N. A. Berdyaev and is present in a number of hisp philosophical writings. The object of this research is the Silber Age, perceived by the author as a somewhat mythological concept. Within the history of Russian culture “Golden Age” is attributed to the time of Pushkin, while “Silver Age” is a period of the bloom of modernism at the turn of XIX-XX centuries, when creative revival coincided in the visual and scenic arts, literature, music, science, and social life. The goal of this work consists in the analysis of dynamics and interconnection between artistic pursuits of the era of Russian modernism and the role of mask in this process The research results testify to the fact that in the Silver Age art prevails the cult of mask as a so-called challenge, protest against reality, which defined its special role in the works of painters, theatrical designers, symbolist poets, avant-garde filmmakers, whose experiments were aimed at determination of the new forms of relationships between art and the public. The relevance of study is substantiated by “interchange” of eras: new trends in development of sociocultural sphere of turn of XX-XXI centuries, when mask came into the people’s everyday life, and the image (persona) becomes an intrinsic part of communication process.

The article is devoted to the study of the general and different aspects of the presentation of Chinese culture discursive elements in the literature of the Russian diaspora in China. The perception of a large number of “Chinese elements” by the emigration literature determines not only the specificity of this layer of the literary creativity, but also the production of the whole series of traditions that are receptive by their nature. Tradition markers, various signs of the Chinese culture, as well as the problems of the traditional Chinese philosophy and a special process of plot making - these are the aspects that the literature of the Russian diaspora perceives creatively. Traditional Chinese symbols (lotus, fan, etc.) play a special role in the creation of special traditions of the Russian emigration literature, which convey inspiration and depth to the works, and to the literature of the Russian diaspora as a whole, that is an appeal to the world cultural values, that are all-embracing in nature. The purpose of the article is a multifaceted analysis of the discursive elements of Chinese culture in the literature of the Russian diaspora of China from the standpoint of the traditional foundations perception of the Chinese culture and the development of their own traditions within the literature of the Russian emigration, which makes it possible to reveal the artistic features of the works created by the Russian writers and poets outside the influence of the native culture. The relevance of the study is determined by the insufficient study of the role of the traditional Chinese culture in the formation of new imagery in the works of representatives of the Russian emigration literature in China. It is necessary to analyze the discursive elements of Chinese culture in the artistic world of the Russian emigration literature, using the capabilities of an interdisciplinary complex of research methods to identify the nationally-specific and individual-author’s perception of Chinese traditional culture and develop on this basis its own traditions of Russian emigre literature.
