The results are presented for the validation of a videotape as an analogous situation for a flight. The video includes the most significant elements of a flight by air: confirmation of the flight, packing, going to the airport, checking-in, going through the metal-detector, departure lounge, boarding the plane, demonstration of the personal safety drills, interiors and exteriors during the flight and landing. Two physiological measures are used for validation (heart rate and temperature) and a subjective measure (situational anxiety, SA). The results (both t-tests and the discriminant analysis) indicate that the videotape is able to discriminate between phobics and non-phobics of flying in the three variables considered. With respect to sensitivity in detecting change produced by various treatments in clients with phobia of flying, the results are also satisfactory. A greater differentiation is produced between the pre-post treatment measures, both in subjective and in the physiological measures.

Introduction. A healthy lifestyle is one of the most eff ective methods of preserving health and preventing non-infectious diseases. The mechanisms and factors that infl uence the formation of motivation for health and a healthy lifestyle in employees engaged in harmful working conditions have not been suffi ciently studied. The study of these mechanisms will allow us to more eff ectively shape health-saving behavior.The aim of the study is to study negative aff ectivity, social suppression and anxiety in the formation of motivation to maintain health and a healthy lifestyle in coal industry workers.Materials and methods. A survey was conducted of 75 employees of mines and sections in the South of Kuzbass with an established diagnosis of occupational diseases, as well as 54 people who do not work in harmful working conditions (engineering and technical workers). Surveys were conducted using the method “Index of motivation to health and a healthy lifestyle”, the presence of personality type D was conducted using the DS14 questionnaire, the level of personal and situational anxiety was assessed using the Spielberger — Hanin questionnaire.Results. Th e level of motivation for health and a healthy lifestyle among patients with occupational diseases is signifi cantly lower than the level of motivation for the health of engineering and technical workers. Th e infl uence of negative reaction and social suppression on the level of motivation for health and a healthy lifestyle was not found. Th e level of situational anxiety also has no eff ect on health motivation. A higher level of personal anxiety among people with a high level of motivation for a healthy lifestyle was determined.Conclusions. Personal anxiety aff ects the level of motivation for health and a healthy lifestyle in people with occupational diseases.

The structure of psychovegetative status of underground miners is studied. The low level of attention in 64% of employees was revealed. 44% of the subjects had an average level of neuropsychic tension. Average level of personal anxiety (69%) and low level of situational anxiety (87%). The specific structure of psychovegetative status of underground miners is revealed.

The results of a comprehensive psychological and psychophysiological study of the characteristics of mental self-regulation in the simulation of various stressful situations in the specialists of extreme profile on the example of servicemen were described in the article. The integrated protocol of the study by the method of biofeedback with consideration of various indices of the central and autonomic nervous system under conditions of stress stimulation was developed. The set of psychological questionnaires was used to diagnose psychological features of self-regulation: questionnaire of self-control H. Grasmik, questionnaire "Style of self-regulation of behavior" by V. I. Morosanova, the questionnaire BIS/BAS, the questionnaire formal - dynamic properties of individuality by V. M. Rusalov, personal questionnaire of the G. and S. Eysenck EPQ, the scale of anxiety Charles D. Spielberger. Statistical method of clustering by the k-means method, single-factor analysis of variance, multiple regression analysis were applied. Psychological and psychophysiological differences between mentally disadaptive and adaptive groups are described, as well as predictors of mental disadaptation for military personnel are identified. It was found that mental disadaptation among servicemen is characterized by a preference for simple tasks in the structure of self-control and a high level of reactive situational anxiety, reduced programming and evaluation indicators, psychomotor erbiness, intellectual speed, indices of psychomotor activity and general adaptivity. The psychophysiological profile of maladaptation differs from the normative indices with elevated indices of subcortical alpha and theta rhythms in the initial background, as well as an increased index of vegetative balance and a reduced index of activation of subcortical centers in the stress sample. Psychophysiological predicators of disadaptation were established.

The study involved 14 volunteer students. Situational anxiety was determined, tests were carried out to determine simple and complex sensorimotor reactions, the cardiac rhythm of the subjects was recorded. Oxygen saturation was determined using an oximeter. Dynamic parameters were recorded: lying in a state of functional rest (background 1), vertical at 65-70° (vertical), lying after verticalization (horizontal), lying in a state of functional rest (background 2). The analysis of the data obtained was carried out using the Excel and StatPlus Pro programs. It was revealed that during verticalization, changes in the regulation of the heart activity of the subjects are carried out mainly due to the central mechanisms of regulation through the sympathetic nervous system. The transfer from a vertical to a horizontal state is accompanied by a restructuring of the regulatory system towards the activation of subcortical nerve centers and a shift in the balance of the SNS/PSNS towards the parasympathetic nervous system. Objective. Patients with stage 5 chronic kidney disease.Study objective. Determination of factors affecting cognitive function in patients with CKD-5.Design and methods. The study included young and middle-aged patients (18 to 60 years old) (n = 40), there is a terminal stage of chronic kidney disease (CKD). Exclusion criteria: history of diseases of the central nervous system, brain injury, episodes of cerebrovascular accident with severity, coronary artery disease, chronic heart failure, pregnancy, abuse of alcohol, refusal to participate in the study. In a previous work, patient examination data were obtained on the Status PF hardware complex. Neurodynamic indicators were estimated, including the determination of the time of a simple visual-motor reaction (MTCM) and a complex visual-motor reaction (MPSM), reaction to a moving object (RDO), memory and attention. Using Spearman’s correlation analysis, we evaluated the impact on cognitive functions of a number of factors, presumably related to neurodynamics. The following factors were selected: age, creatinine level, NSE and S100 proteins, hemoglobin level, Beck’s depression points, indicators of personal and situational anxiety.Results. All patients examined on the Status PF software package had mild cognitive impairment in terms of neurodynamics, attention, and memory. The average positive relationship between the level of depression and various indicators of RDO was established: with RDO_average (ρ = 0.405; p = 0.018), with RDO_total delay (ρ = 0.540; p < 0.001), with RDO_average delay (ρ = 0.421; p = 0.007), as well as weak positive – with CEMR average exposure (ρ = 0.358; p = 0.023). An average positive relationship of creatinine level with RDO_O (ρ = 0.438; p = 0.005) is noted. A weak positive relationship between the level of personal anxiety and RDO_total delay (ρ = 0.334; p = 0.035) was revealed. The average negative relationship between hemoglobin level and RDO_total delay (ρ = –0.535; p < 0.001) was revealed. A weak positive relationship between situational anxiety and SEMR is determined by the number of errors (ρ = 0.364; p = 0.021), as well as a weak negative one with the attention volume (ρ = –0.357; p = 0.024). A weak negative relationship of age with visual memory per word was revealed (ρ = –0.362; p = 0.022).Domain of usage. Abstract Searching for information on the web is regarded as a complex problem-solving activity involving a range of cognitive and affective processes. Anxiety is a key affective factor. In this article, we describe the construction and initial validation stages of the Information Retrieval on the Web Anxiety Rate (IROWAR) scale. The final structure of this inventory was validated with a sample of 183 English-speaking Internet users. Reliability analyses indicated that the factors were internally consistent (Cronbach’s alpha: 0.92). When we checked divergent validity, we found negative correlations with both self-efficacy and positive attitude towards the Internet. There were no effects of either sex or age on the total IROWAR score, but the Internet search anxiety sum score decreased with the length of use. This scale will be useful in several domains, including research on the determinants of web anxiety, individuals’ experience of web anxiety and ways of supporting them and Internet learning.
