The article reveals the problem of organizing research activities of students of musical universities as the main factor influencing the formation of their musical thinking. To achieve this goal, music education is transformed as a holistic process of musical research based on reflexive modeling, and musical research as a musician’s self-critical research activity. It is found that only in a systematic study by future musicians of facts, phenomena, circumstances of the musical process, it is possible to develop generalized skills to determine and achieve the goal of musical research, develop value-methodological strategy and tactics of relations in the process of interaction with the subjects of this research, self-assess the results of their research activities. In addition, development of musical thinking of personality is aimed at achieving its professional reasonableness as a universal quality, providing understanding and comprehension of the holistic process of musical research and determining mastering the value-methodological culture. In the process of the research, the following is undertaken: the methodology of the criterion-value approach is substantiated as the leading strategy of the personality-activity approach to students of music universities in the process of development of their musical thinking; the types of research activities (reasonable, organizational-informational, creatively transformative, evaluating) and their interrelation on the basis of the principles of unity of the universal and particular, simple and complex are revealed; the research self-critical activity of the future musician is revealed as a criterion of the truth of his musical thinking, aimed at mastering the professional reasonableness of the individual; analysed the role of the reflexive control of the formation of musical thinking of the individual and the holistic process of musical research. The involvement of future musicians in research self-critical activity, as well as the implementation of the reflexive control of the process of development of musical thinking, provided significant positive changes in the levels of development of this thinking. If reflexive management of the process of development of musical thinking contributed to the development of rational and creative individuality, then reflexive modeling of the holistic process of musical research made it possible to achieve self-management of the student’s personality, which led to the development of dialogical thinking, actualization of the independence of professional ideas, judgments, inferences, activation of self-criticism, priority to solving complex problems . As a result of the study, the appropriateness of the realization of the personality-activity approach to students of musical universities in the process of development of their musical thinking are derived: the increase in the effectiveness of the implementation of the personal-activity approach to students during the formation of their musical thinking depends on the degree of implementation of the reflexive management of the integral process of musical research; the achievement of the goal and result of the development of musical thinking — mastering professional reasonableness of a musician — is determined by the degree of effectiveness of the implementation of the personality-activity approach in the process of formation of the specified thinking with future musicians.

At the present stage of society's development, there is an increasing need for highly qualified specialists who are ready for continuous updating of knowledge and skills, solving research problems in their professional activities. In this regard, one of the important tasks of the implementation of educational programs is the achievement of a high level of research competence by graduates. Teaching mathematics opens up unlimited opportunities for the development of the intellectual sphere and research skills of schoolchildren. However, the insufficient development of pedagogical technologies focused on the implementation of psychodidactic patterns of research activity development is a negative factor that prevents the realization of the developing potential of mathematical disciplines. The article presents the author's approach to the organization of research activities of high school students, based on the idea of integrating the process of educational cognition and modern digital technologies. As a key aspect of personal development in teaching mathematics, we consider the activity of mastering complex knowledge in the course of performing ordered, forming a single motivational and applied integrity of the complex tasks of a research nature, in the process of which there is an active mastery of knowledge, deeper penetration into the essence of mathematical concepts, methods, ideas. At the same time, intelligent management of research activities of high school students is carried out within the framework of using the functionality of a hybrid learning environment that integrates the functions of artificial neural networks, genetic algorithms, fuzzy logic, expert systems, providing individualization of learning, synthesis of mathematical and computer modeling of the content of knowledge and procedures. The paper describes the content and functionality of the basic modules of the intellectual learning system, describes the theoretical, methodological, and technological aspects of the organization of research activities of high school students to master complex mathematical knowledge.

Have been described the role of the scientific method of cognition and the role of scientific knowledge in the educational sphere in the period of Modern philosophy. Have been determined the role of the empirical method and the theoretical method in experiments in order to gain new knowledge and test hypotheses. Considered the role of scientific societies and academies as centers of development of scientific knowledge. Have been determined that the expansion of knowledge through the improvement of the scientific method has led to the need for changes in principles of education. Are described the demonstrations of physical experiments for educational purposes in universities and academies. Have been described the physical experiments on the example of a lecture of Jacques Rohault and Pierre Poliniere. The contribution of Francis Bacon and Rene Descartes, Isaac Newton in the study of the effectiveness and objectivity of the scientific method in research is described. Was considered that scientific research was made with the aim of practical efficiency for human life, and not as a self-goal. Knowledge and education should be formed based on the inductive method. The main ideas of the work "Reflections on the method" are considered as the publication of tipping point in the formation of Modern philosophy. Have been described the main ideas of 21 rules of application the scientific method in researches in this publication. Have been determined that in the Modern philosophy period science had a direct impact on education, as well-known representatives of science popularized and involved in their research students and young scientists through educational institutions. At this time, education has become an instrument of human socialization, so well-known educators of this period emphasized to the need of early child development (John Locke and Jean-Jacques Rousseau) and the universality of education (Jan Amos Comenius). It is determined that the application of the scientific method in the research activities of period of Modern philosophy is inextricably linked with their pedagogical practice. In this way it has led to active improvement and structuring of scientific methods, and to involving more young minds in scientific research and investigations. Which was a background to the germination of the next period of Classical Philosophy of Science

Currently, there is a contradiction between the established traditions of edifying pedagogical mentoring of young teachers and their need for individual scientific and methodological support for the formation of the author's teaching style. The article considers options for scientific and methodological support of teachers: equal age-based cooperation, diverse edifying interaction, equal age-based interaction. It is shown that situations of compatibility, the process of finding a contradiction, observance of the principle of eventuality are important, which will lead to the formation of an author's research handwriting, a style of research activity among the young teachers. The stages of this process are proposed: the stage of reflective familiarization, active imitation, reflective selfknowledge, to form research behavior and author's style, acceptance and presentation of oneself in the new role of researcher/methodologist. Thus, the inevitability of meeting with new traditions, rituals, customs is consistently ensured; the young teacher has performed the first cultural tests of research/methodological behavior; understanding oneself in a new role, exploratory self-determination, and then accepting and presenting oneself in a new role as a researcher/methodist. The process of co-action of a mentor with a young teacher is described: organization of reflection; motivation to independently search for a research task or methodological reception, resources of their own research activities; included observation, readiness to provide pedagogical support, organization of reflection. The functions of the accompanying teacher are shown: facilitation, accompaniment and reflection. The tactics of scientific and methodological support (guardianship, care and protection; mentoring and cooperation; pedagogical assistance, support and real support) in the context of scientific and methodological support. The essence of the scientific and methodological support of teachers is described: creating motivating conditions for the formation of the author's style among teachers, providing various opportunities for professional expression and feeling satisfied with their work. The logic of scientific and methodological support has been clarified: through criticism – to doubt, to acceptance, cultural test, correction and secondary acceptance of oneself; from interaction with a mentor-master-tutor through compatibility and eventuality to independence and scientific and methodological authorship.

Student research activity is one of the most important forms of the education and the driving force of quality assurance activities. Ukraine has developed a regulatory and legal framework that ensures high-quality research work, which should meet the needs of future specialists in intellectual and professional development and increase their professional competence. The involvement in research work requires, first of all, gaining deep theoretical and practical knowledge in medicine, well-designed extra-curricular activities to guide students in their mastering methodology of scientific research and developing research skills, and university promotion. The experience of Poltava State Medical University convincingly proves that the most effective means of improving the quality of training is the regular active involvement of students in research activity. The role of scientific knowledge in higher education is decisive, since the active participation of the teaching staff in fostering research skills makes it possible to demonstrate the latest scientific achievements and their practical application. Structured research activities, woven into the medical school curriculum provide an opportunity to evince the intellectual potential of both students and educators, to contribute to deeper investigation of medical problems, to master the methods of scientific investigation, and to realize the importance of such activity in increasing one's competitiveness in the labour market. This approach also contributes to better comprehension of professional information, to develop mindset associated with high professionalism. Pathophysiology as a discipline is at the junction of theoretical and clinical disciplines that serves as a wide background to meet the diversity of students’ scientific demands and interests. Involving students into structured research activities not only promotes gaining special knowledge, but also builds up ethical and deontological foundations of future successful medical research career; enhances team spirit and cooperation between students and educators. This interaction enables in clearly stating their focus and research question, engaging in an adequate critical discussion of the strengths and weaknesses of the study methods, and offering conclusions that are properly qualified in the scope given the evidence gathered and analyzed. This department is proud to maintain a high university rank on student research results performance among the non-clinical departments. The culmination of knowledge in this developmental trajectory can reinforced and extend other aspects of high quality training.

Wehnelt & Wilkinson (2005) suggest that I am confused about the aim of the Zoos Directive, stating that it is ‘… to further the conservation role of zoos rather than increasing research activities.’ On the contrary, they have confused the aim with the means of compliance. Participating in research is but one means by which a zoo may demonstrate a conservation role. I have not suggested that research activity should be increased, or that poorly resourced zoos should develop research programmes, or indeed that research is a compulsory activity. I have merely suggested that much of the research undertaken in zoos is not directly relevant to conservation and, as such, does not fulfil the requirements of the Directive. Wehnelt & Wilkinson have produced no evidence to the contrary.
