This study evaluated a fuzzy technique for order performance by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) as a multicriteria decision making system that compensates for missing information with undefined weight factor criteria. The suggested Fuzzy TOPSIS was applied to ten potential dam sites in three river basins (the Han River, the Geum River, and the Nakdong River basins) in South Korea. To assess potential dam sites, the strategic environment assessment (SEA) monitored four categories: national preservation, endangered species, water quality, and toxic environment. To consider missing information, this study applied the Monte Carlo Simulation method with uniform and normal distributions. The results show that effects of missing information generation with one fuzzy set in GB1 site of the Geum River basin are not great in fuzzy positive-ideal solution (FPIS) and fuzzy negative-ideal solution (FNIS) estimations. However, the combination of two fuzzy sets considering missing information in Gohyun stream (NG) and Hoenggye stream (NH) sites of the Nakdong River basin has a great effect on estimating FPIS, FNIS, and priority ranking in Fuzzy TOPSIS applications. The sites with the highest priority ranking in the Han River, Geum River, and Nakdong River basins based on Fuzzy TOPSIS are the Dal stream 1 (HD1), Bocheong stream 2 (GB2) and NG sites. Among the sites in all river basins, the GB2 site had the highest priority ranking. Consequently, the results coincided with findings of previous studies based on multicriteria decision making with missing information and show the applicability of Fuzzy TOPSIS when evaluating priority rankings in cases with missing information.

AbstractThis article looks at interprofessional disagreements about how care should be provided in nursing homes for elderly people. The article shows that, while work is discussed by referring to four general principles, their prioritization remains a point of contention. This priority ranking is specific to the norms of each profession involved, which are not always compatible.

Abstract Generally, two types of priorities are considered among multiple objectives in the design of machine structures. One of these objectives is named the “hard objective”, which is the absolutely indispensable design requirement. The other is called the “soft objective”, which has lower priority order. This paper proposes a multi-objective structural optimization strategy with priority ranking of those design objectives. Further, this strategy is demonstrated on the actual example of a motorcycle frame structural design which has three design objectives, (1) an increase in static torsional rigidity, (2) a reduction of dynamic response level, and (3) a decrease in the weight of the motorcycle frame.

The Indonesian Navy as a defense and security force of the sea has combat tools and supporting facilities projected in the Integrated Fleet Weapon System (Sistem Senjata Armada Terpadu/SSAT) with several components including Indonesian navy ships, marines, aircraft and bases. Depo level maintenance is comprehensive maintenance that can only be carried out by personnel who are experts in their field and supported by complete and sophisticated equipment and facilities. Maintenance at this level includes complete overhaul repairment, repowering MLM (mid life modernization), calibration of all equipment, and repairs to all parts thoroughly. Depo Level Maintenance is the nature of maintaining technical conditions based on rotary hours. If the repair schedule specified in the SPT (System for Planned Maintenance), the schedule must be carried out. This research aimed to present a priority setting solution in Depo level maintenance wherein the highest Indonesian Navy Ship ranking is determined from the level of the decision makers. Fuzzy MCDM is a method developed for decision making on several alternative decisions to get an accurate and optimal decision. In Indonesian Navy Ship Hardepo priority ranking process taken from the level of data processing decision makers using the Fuzzy MCDM method, the 5 highest priority values in implementation were obtained. Hardepo with the highest scores were KRP-812 0.111, BDU-841 0.108, LAM-374 0.107, KRS-624 0.097 and TJA-541 0.073

The analysis of the need for agricultural land consolidation in villages of the commune of Sławno was performed to identify villages in which adjustment interventions were needed most urgently. The factors indicative of the urgency of land adjustment were selected on the basis of a comprehensive analysis of the natural, social, economic and financial conditions characterizing the investigated villages. The analysis was carried out on the basis of data obtained from the Register of Land and Buildings of the District Office in Opoczno and the Office of the Commune of Sławno. The study allowed us to determine the surface area of land requiring urgent consolidation and exchange, thus providing grounds for applying for funds for the implementation of the proposed land adjustment scheme. Calculations were done on the basis of 19 factors (x1– x19) belonging to five groups of characteristics describing each of the investigated villages. The results expressed in the form of a synthetic measure calculated for each village allowed us to prioritize consolidation interventions. The priority ranking obtained was compared with another ranking performed using the zero unitarization method (ZUM).

Introduction:Triaging plays an important role in providing suitable care to the largest number of casualties in a disaster setting. We developed the Pediatric Physiological and Anatomical Triage score (PPATS) as a new secondary triage method.Aim:This study was performed to validate the accuracy of the PPATS in pediatric patients with burn injuries.Methods:A retrospective review of pediatric patients with burn injuries younger than 15 years old registered in the Japan Trauma Databank from 2004 to 2016 was conducted. The PPATS, which was assigned scores from 0 to 22, was calculated based on vital signs, anatomical abnormalities, and need for life-saving intervention. The PPATS categorized the patients by their priority and defined the intensive care unit (ICU)-indicated patients as those with PPARSs more than 6. This study compared the accuracy of prediction of ICU-indicated patients between the PPATS and Triage Revised Trauma Score (TRTS).Results:Among 87 pediatric patients, 62 (71%) were admitted to the ICU. The median age was 3 years (interquartile range: 1 to 9 years old). The sensitivity and specificity of the PPATS were 74% and 36%, respectively. The area under the receiver-operating characteristic curve was not different between the PPTAS [0.51 (95% confidence interval: -0.51–1.48) and the TRTS [0.51 (-1.17–1.62), p=0.57]. Regression analysis showed a significant association between the PPATS and the Injury Severity Score (ISS) (r2=0.39, p<0.01). On the other hand, there is no association between the TRTS and the ISS (r2=0.00, p=0.79).Discussion:The accuracy of the PPATS was not superior to that of current secondary-triage methods. However, the PPATS had the advantage of objectively determining the triage priority ranking based on the severity of the pediatric patients with burn injuries.
