Abstract Incoloy alloy 25-6Mo is superaustenitic, contains 6% Mo, and offers excellent corrosion resistance to neutral and acidic environments containing chlorides or other halides such as are found in air pollution control and flue gas desulfurization systems. The alloy is especially suited for service in high chloride environments such as brackish water, seawater, caustic chloride, and pulp mill bleach systems. This alloy is similar to Inco Alloy 25-6Mo (See Alloy Digest Ni-401, April 1992) and supersedes it. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and shear strength. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-962. Producer or source: Special Metals Corporation.
