Abstract Allegheny Ludlum type 301 is the basic 18-8 chromium-nickel austenitic stainless steel with both chromium and nickel content lower than types 302 and 304. The steel is capable of attaining high tensile strength with good ductility by moderate or severe cold working. A typical application is conveyor belts in the food processing industry. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fatigue. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as heat treating. Filing Code: SS-723. Producer or source: Allegheny Ludlum Corporation.

Abstract Type 301 (UNS S30100) is an austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel capable of attaining high tensile strength and ductility by cold working. It is not hardenable by heat treatment. Type 301 is essentially nonmagnetic in the annealed condition and becomes magnetic with cold deformation. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-775. Producer or source: J & L Specialty Steel Inc.

Abstract CarTech 201 Modified is a nitrogen-strengthened, chromium-manganese-nickel, austenitic stainless steel that provides substantially higher yield and tensile strength than CarTech 304, and has general-corrosion resistance between that of CarTech 430 and CarTech 304. Compared with CarTech 201 (UNS S20100), CarTech 201 Modified has a lower nickel content, which results in higher-strength levels after cold working. This datasheet provides information on composition and physical properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-1319. Producer or source: Carpenter Technology Corporation.

Abstract Lucefin Group C30, C30E, and C30R are medium-carbon, non-alloy steels that are used in the normalized, cold worked, or quenched and tempered condition. C30E and C30R may also be flame or induction hardened. C30, C30E, and C30R are widely used for small, moderately stressed parts, where higher strength levels are needed than can be achieved in the lower carbon grades, and also where toughness is more important than high tensile strength. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: CS-206. Producer or source: Lucefin S.p.A.
