Abstract ANACONDA Alloy 443 is a brass alloy commonly known as ARSENICAL ADMIRALTY 443 because the addition of nominally 0.04% arsenic greatly inhibits its corrosion by dezincification. It stands up extremely well against corrosion by fresh, brackish or salt waters ranging from slightly acid to slightly alkaline. It also prossesses good resistance to corrosion by waters containing sulfides. It has moderate strength and good ductility. For a long time, this alloy has been considered a standard for condenser and heat-exchanger tubes. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fatigue. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Cu-422. Producer or source: Anaconda American Brass Company.
