Women’s experiences of intimate partner violence (IPV) from their male partners can include psychological, physical, and sexual control and abuse. The psychological effects of abuse (PEA) include terror, shame, and loss of power and control in relationships. While women’s experiences of IPV are associated with decreased condom use, limited research has examined the impact of PEA on women’s condom use. Intoxicated (breath alcohol content [BrAC] = .10%) versus sober women were evaluated to test the hypothesis that PEA would interact with intoxication and scenario-context partner pressure to forgo condom use and be associated with intentions to engage in condomless sex. After beverage administration, community women ( N = 405) projected themselves into a computerized scenario depicting a male partner exerting high or low pressure for condomless sex. In-the-moment condom negotiation self-efficacy and condom-decision abdication—letting the man decide on condom use—were assessed. Path analysis examined the direct and indirect effects of PEA, alcohol, and partner pressure conditions on condomless sex intentions. PEA increased condomless sex intentions indirectly through decreased condom negotiation self-efficacy. Intoxication increased condomless sex intentions indirectly through decreased condom negotiation self-efficacy and increased condom-decision abdication. Intoxicated women in the low pressure condition were more likely to abdicate the condom decision than women in the high pressure condition. Women who have experienced greater PEA may benefit from interventions focusing on how condom negotiation self-efficacy, condom-decision abdication, and intoxication influence sexual decision-making.

An experimental investigation was conducted in a natural circulation (NC) loop to study the characteristics of two-phase flow instability under low pressure condition. A 3 × 3 rod bundle channel was used as the test section. The effects of heating power, inlet subcooling degree and system pressure on the two-phase NC flow instability types and stable boundaries were studied. The experimental results show that three typical flow conditions can occur in rod bundle channel under NC condition, which are single-phase NC flow, subcooled boiling NC flow oscillation and density wave oscillations (DWO). The oscillation amplitude and period of DWO can be enlarged by increasing the heat flux. Increasing the inlet subcooling degree can increase the marginal heating power of flow instability in NC system. The occurrence of DWO can be suppressed by increasing the system pressure. The flow instability boundary presented by the subcooling number and phase change number was also obtained in present work.

In this paper, the characteristics of two modes of high back pressure reconstruction techniques for 150 MW reheat turbine units were researched. One was reconstruction of double back pressure and double rotors and the other was one-off reconstruction of LP cylinder. The former redesigned for lower pressure(LP) rotors for running at high back pressure, and hydraulic coupling bolts adopted to achieve the switch of low pressure rotors that run at high and lower back pressures. The one-off reconstruction of LP cylinder has achieved the switch of static and dynamic blades between high and low pressure. The two reconstruction both realized heat supply on the high back pressure condition, utilized cold source loss and increased the unit efficiency. After reconstruction, the economic index under both normal back pressure condition and high back pressure heating condition have been obtained by performance test. Under the high back pressure heating condition, the unit heat rate reaches 3700-3800kJ/kW.h, and the thermal efficiency has achieved 95-97%.
