Tujuan penelitian adalah mengkaji implementasi sekolah ramah anak di TK ‘Aisyiyah di Purwokerto dan mengembangkan konsep sekolah ramah anak berbasis nilai-nilai karakter anak.  Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan  pendekatan grounded theory.  Subjek  penelitian guru dan kepala sekolah  TK ‘Aisyiyah 1 Purwokerto, TK ‘Aisyiyah Teluk Purwokerto Selatan dan TK Bantarwuni, Sumbang. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara dan observasi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis komparatif konstan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada tiga kategori dengan lima sub kategori yang berkaitan dengan implementasi sekolah ramah anak di Taman Kanak-kanak untuk mengembangkan karakter anak , yaitu kategori persiapan, perencanaan, pelaksanaan. Taksonomi konsep sekolah ramah anak adalah school-based character education, safe school environment, friendly school, inclusive school, religous school. Implikasi pembelajaran ramah anak adalah dengan menerapkan pembelajaran inklusif, pembelajaran ramah lingkungan, pendidikan sosial, pendidikan berbasis keadilan dan pendidikan berbasis agama.

The study was carried out to determine challenges of girl child education as regards persistence in secondary education as well as determine innovations that will help to prevent this act in Delta state public secondary schools. It is an expose facto design that employed survey method to obtain the data. The population of the study consisted of 14,877 public secondary teachers in Delta state. The sampling technique adopted was the cluster and random sampling using balloting system. A total number of 744teachers were sampled to form the sample size. The instrument utilized was the Innovation for Attaining Girl Child Persisting in School Questionnaire (IAGCPSQ). Analysis was carried out using descriptive statistics of mean rating, standard deviation. The hypotheses were tested using t- test. The study found the most outstanding challenges of school persistence and the most crucial innovation aimed at encouraging girl child in school. Based on the findings, it was recommended that abrogation of cultural barriers that inhibit girl child education be made, orientating girl child towards the value of education, making school environment friendly to girl child learning, improving living conditions of families amongst others.   Received: 19 March 2021 / Accepted: 5 June 2021 / Published: 8 July 2021

In spite of research suggesting the importance of diverse professionals in education (Mattison & Aber, 2007), no studies have explored the professional experiences of school counselors of Color. In this exploratory grounded-theory qualitative study, researchers interviewed 19 school counselors of Color. Responses revealed both positive and negative racial experiences in the schools, with mitigating factors involving the school environment. Implications for professional school counselors include advocacy and allyhood.

Introduction: An increase in excess body fat and a decrease in the number of hours of sleep per day are health problems affecting the paediatric population. Objective: To estimate the combined prevalence of overweight and insufficient sleep/day in adolescents, and the association with sociodemographic characteristics, physical activity and sedentary behaviour. Methods: A cross-sectional school-based study was conducted with 1,132 participants from 14 to 19 years old in São José, Santa Catarina, Brazil. Body fat was assessed by body mass index (BMI) and classified by the Z-score, while adolescents reported the total hours of sleep/day. Sociodemographic data, physical activity and sedentary behaviour were collected by self-filled questionnaire. Results: The simultaneous prevalence of overweight and insufficient sleep/day was 17.5%. The factors associated with this condition were to meet the recommendations of the practice of physical activity per week, participate in gym class twice/week and period greater/equal to four hours/day in front of the screen. Conclusion: Guidelines in the school environment in relation to health problems posed by weight excess and the amount of insufficient hours sleep can be present when recommendations on physical activity and sedentary behaviour are given to students.

Purpose of the study: This paper aims to describe the basic reasons behind the application of the principal's humanisticapproach, and the steps of the principal's humanistic approach to optimizing character education strengthening programs.Methodology: This research uses a qualitative approach, case study design. Data collection is done through in-depthinterviews, participant observation, and study documentation to achieve research objectives.Main Findings: Research findings reveal that personal excellence (integrity, wholeness, and authenticity) and thehumanistic spirituality of inspirational figures inspire the principal's humanistic approach. In addition, the application of the principal's humanistic approach has a significant impact on optimizing the implementation of character education strengthening in schools and successfully forming the character of students.Applications of this study: This study can be useful for principals in the education department of Malang City, EastJava, Indonesia, to use a humanistic approach model in carrying out leadership roles, because it has been proveneffective in optimizing the implementation of optimizing character education strengthening programs in schools.Novelty/Originality of this study: The principal's role is to create a "humane" school environment through harmonious relationships, respecting subordinates as human beings, tolerant and non-discriminatory, giving examples of good behavior to subordinates based on self-excellence and imitating the spirituality of inspirational figures, so that good characters are formed in the teachers and students at school.

The background of this research is the importance of the attitude of caring for the environment that is planted early on starting from the elementary school level. The purpose of this study is to find out how the attitude of caring for students' environment in 184 Pekanbaru Elementary School. This research is quantitative descriptive research type. This research was conducted at 184 Pekanbaru Elementary School. Based on the results of research assessed from 6 indicators, namely cleaning toilets, cleaning trash cans, cleaning the school environment, beautifying classrooms and schools with plants, participating in maintaining parks in schools and participating in maintaining environmental cleanliness. Based on the results of the study showed that 184 Pekanbaru Public Elementary School students have a very caring attitude towards the environment with an acquisition value of 89.02 in the very caring category

Character is something that is reflected in human beings through their words, actions and movements in daily life. Good characters are expected by everyone. Indonesia has sparked 18 national character values that must be owned by its citizens. Characters will be formed through daily habituation that is done consistently, exemplary and repetitive. One environment that helps the development of children's character is the school environment, where habituation in the school environment must be in line with habituation in the home environment and community environment. This article was written to look at how the school environment can help in character development, by taking one of the schools that focuses on students' character education, namely the character school in the Indonesia Heritage Foundation (IHF) Depok, in terms of its education management and education model.

This study aims to describe the values ​​of character education in the fairy tale Bawang Merah Bawang Putih and its relevance for strengthening the character of elementary school students. The data of this research is the story of Bawang Merah Bawang Putih which was obtained from the fairy tale book by Runna Aulia and Ghais Ramadhani. The data collection technique used is documentation. This stage of the data analysis technique is carried out by data condensation. Presentation of data, as well as conclusions and verification of research results. The results of this study are 5 character values ​​contained in the fairy tale Bawang Merah Bawang Putih, such as the value of the character of hard work, the value of the character of discipline, the value of the character of responsibility, the value of the character of social care, the value of the character of curiosity. This study also found 5 character values ​​that exist in strengthening character education, such as the value of telligiosity, nationalism, integrity, independence and mutual cooperation. The characters in this fairy tale can also be used as learning content at school. there are good examples so that students can find good learning to be applied to everyday life such as the school environment, community and family environment.

Abstract: Many students' behaviors that are not in accordance with the noble values of the nation, for example, attitudes only selfish, breaking the law, deviant behavior among students and students who tend to increase, even brawl in congregation, bullying, acts of immorality, fornography, drug addicts, cheating, plagiarism and liquor became the hot news adorning the media all the time. so that it becomes the talk of various parties who show concern for the importance of improving the character of students. It seems to have lost the character that has been built for centuries, such as friendliness, social solidarity and helpfulness. Educational institutions are considered not optimal in shaping the personality of students, thus inspiring the emergence of a commitment to boost character education in an integrated and tiered manner, which requires school-based management in its implementation. Keywords: School based management, building up character value.
