One of the problems of primary school teachers’ training in postgraduate education is to prove the guidelines vector of teaching activities on the development of creative abilities of every child. From the early school years it is necessary to enhance the student’s tendency to creative performance with new creative and intellectual abilities and effective methodologies. The realia of the new millennium requires the activation of personality’s creative potential, creative activity of primary school students, creating psychological and pedagogical conditions for their professional self-expression and creative fulfillment. The aim of the article is to analyze the content of primary school teachers’ training on the development of primary school students’ creative potential in postgraduate education. The content of primary school teachers’ training for the creative potential development of primary school students during training courses in postgraduate teachers’ education complies with such features as: concentric (allows to establish a connection between the known and the unknown, to develop, enhance, organize teachers’ ideas on the types and methods of the development of primary school students’ creative abilities); transfer from simple to complex in teaching of adults, from the known to the unknown or little known (makes it possible to gradually expand, enrich the content of each topic); the relationship of learning content during training courses with practical activities in primary school (includes visiting methodologist teachers’ lessons at schools); providing students with positive motivation during learning to fix the interest in the development of primary pupils’ creative activity in the classroom; interdependence of methods and techniques of training (for their efficient optimal combination in different learning situations). Thus, the content of primary school teachers’ training to the development of primary school students’ creative potential in postgraduate education combines didactic, andragogical and psychological foundations of teachers’ education as a particular category of working adults. In the long term we shall search pedagogical conditions of training.

English teachers in Indonesian primary schools are often in doubt about the ‘what’ and the ‘how’ to teach because most English teachers training colleges do not provide them with specialized training in how to meet the needs of primary school students; TEYL is a new and highly dynamic field; the status of English in the curriculum of primary schools in Indonesia is a local content, and thus the National Education Ministry does not provide English syllabus for primary school. Since the objective of teaching English in primary school is to provide a good basis for communicative competence as a foundation to study it in secondary school; the development of the four language skills should be made the focus of all learning activities. This paper provides some guidelines, which are adapted from some publications and discussions concerning TEYL for teaching the four language skills in primary schools.

The article proposes a methodology for the formation of functional mathematical literacy of primary school students as a component of functional literacy. This methodology is based on mathematical models and their animation illustrations. Based on international research, it is shown that mathematical modeling is the most important universal action of a student in primary school. Examples of transformation of standard tasks for movement into tasks that are more close to reality are given, in solving which it is useful to use animation modeling, which involves the creation of children's animation for educational purposes. Animated videos illustrate the solution of non-standard mathematical problems, problems with unstructured, redundant or insufcient information. The activity of creating animation models allows students to increase the level of mathematical literacy, which is confrmed by the data of the pedagogical experiment.

To explore the impact of academic burden on the physical and mental health of primary school students, combined with the results of the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) report in 2018, the relationship among the development of mathematical literacy, mathematics academic burden, and the physical and mental health of primary school students is studied. First, the relationship between mathematical literacy and mathematics anxiety is analyzed, and related influencing factors and measurement methods of mathematics anxiety are introduced. A questionnaire is then designed for primary school students’ mathematical stress, and the reliability and validity of the designed questionnaire are tested. Finally, a questionnaire survey is conducted on students, parents, and teachers in the third, fourth, and fifth grades of three standardized public primary schools. The results of the questionnaire survey show that students, teachers, and parents have a general understanding of the mathematics academic burden of primary school students at this stage. A total of 70% of teachers believe that primary school students have a heavy mathematics burden; 50% of parents think that primary school students are under heavy academic stress; 70% of primary school students believe that the heavy mathematics burden leads to reduced sleep time and extracurricular activities, which has a serious impact on the physical and mental health of primary school students. This research provides a reference for improving the current balance between education and students’ physical and mental health in China.
