This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the heat and temperature module based on the Guided-Inquiry Laboratory (GIL) model. The type of this research was a quasi-experimental research with a pretest-posttest control group design.  The samples were the seventh grade of one of junior high school in Kediri, as many as 60 students, with two classes: module as experiment class and existing class as control class. The module class was treated using a GIL-based module and existing class using modules commonly used at school. The sampling technique used in this research was purposive sampling. The instrument used to collect data on scientific inquiry literacy was a multiple-choice test. This study found that there are statistically significant differences between the module and the existing class with an Effect Size (ES) of 0,413. The average score of scientific inquiry literacy N-Gains score calculation in the module class was higher by 0,68 compared to the existing class 0f 0,47. The result indicates that there is a medium impact of applying heat and temperature module to the indicator of scientific inquiry literacy. These findings contribute that employing the GIL-based heat and temperature module proved to be effective in the quality of science learning among module class students.

186 seventh and eighth grade students were administered the Rotter Incomplete Sentences Blank: High School Form with instructions amended so that the students would be aware of the importance of supplying grammatically correct responses. Rotter protocols were scored for errors in grammar and were submitted to a school psychologist, who through clinical inspection only estimated semester language arts grades for the students. Most types of grammatical errors correlated significantly with semester grades earned in language arts class, but clinical inspection of the Rotter protocols yielded the highest correlation (.54) with the criterion. Girls earned significantly higher language arts grades than boys.

This study examined the relationship between junior high school students' directional reasoning about rates and numerical reasoning on proportion-related word problems. Also explored was the extent to which the ability to solve context-free fraction exercises is related to the ability to solve mathematically similar word problems. Four hundred twenty-one seventh-grade and 492 eighth-grade students were given a test consisting of eight directional and eight proportion-related word problems and a fraction test that included 11 items that precisely paralleled the mathematical structure of the word problems. The correlation between the directional and numerical scales was .38 for seventh grade and .45 for eighth grade. Regression analysis indicated that a high directional score is related to greater numerical success on proportion-related problems. The low correlations between the mathematically similar problems on the fraction and word-problem tests indicate that students are not capitalizing on the structural similarities inherent in the problems, even when the numerical quantities are identical.

Pre-marital sexual behavior in adolescents is increasing and has a negative impact on the development and growth of adolescents. This was influenced by several factors including the role of families that did not function optimally. If in a family, the teenagers get less attention, then they will act recklessly because they feel there is no prohibition from parents. There is no form of advice, prohibition or punishment if a mistake is made, this proves the lack of attention of parents to adolescents. Low supervision ofadolescent activities will have an impact on adolescents’ behavior. This study aims to determine the correlation between family roles and premarital sexual behavior in junior high school students. This research was cross sectional designand it was carried out by measuring and observing variables at the same time. The number of samples as many as 185 participants were taken by purposive proportional random sampling technique. This study found that there is correlation between family roles and premarital sexual behavior in adolescents with p value 0.029. parents role are needed in adolescent relationship with peer and guide them to choose good friends. Keywords :The Role of Family, Premarital Sexual Behavior in Adolescents
