Virtual learning is very much important in the 21st century in increasing interest in communicating in EFL classrooms. Edmodo is one of the media used for virtual learning. This research primarily aimed at describing interactive communication and students’ perspective of the online media "Edmodo" as a means of learning the EFL Classroom. The method used is qualitative methods with data collection techniques with documentation techniques, and observation techniques. Students’ perspective were collected by interviews. Besides that advantages of Edmodo and description classroom activities observed. The results of the analysis showed that Edmodo can be used as an effective learning medium. Edmodo, as a learning tool, can also be an easier introduction to students so that English knowledge be interested to communicate globally. Moreover, it revealed that using Edmodo had positive perspective from students towards interactive communication.

The aims of this research was to fill the theoretical and empirical gaps about the case study with regard to learning media in Indonesia's higher education in industry 4.0 and society 5.0 era. This research used qualitative methods. Data collection techniques used interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of this study revealed tht virtual learning (VL) media ws an effective learning media in Indonesian higher education in industry 4.0 and society 5.0. Therefore, the use of relevant learning models was in line with the times, and the use of more flexible VL media was a strategy to enhance educational quality in the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. Communication of public officials greatly influences the public to comply with the corona virus disease (Covid-19) health protocol and is positively correlated with the effectiveness of handling Covid-19. Unfortunately, as this study found using descriptive qualitative methods and data collection techniques from credible online media, there are a number of public officials who often make controversial statements about Covid-19 that are not fully based on scientific, accurate data, and empirical facts. In addition to causing ethical communication problems, this has led to pro and contra responses, noise, confusion and disrupts and hinders acceleration in handling the Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, this study recommends that public officials pay attention to and prioritize communication ethics in handling the Covid-19 pandemic so that the Covid-19 pandemic can be controlled, and quickly removed from Indonesian soil.

Practicum activity is a scientific process to find out a phenomenon or validate a concept. HOT-LAB in laboratory activities is useful in improving 4C skills, including Critical Thinking Skills. The number of Modules or E-Modules that use a cookbook of guided laboratory inquiries was less to increase the 4C Skills in supporting the 21st Century skills. This study aimed to design, create and find out the effect of using HOT-LAB-based E-Modules to improve the students’ Critical Thinking Skills. The research method was the ADDIE RnD. Invalidation stage, E-Module that was validated by material and media validators, stated effective, so it was feasible to continue to data collection of students. Data of Critical Thinking Skills used 30 students as subjects whose raw data was analyzed using statistical tests. E-Module obtained a validity score of 83.33% on the material validation and 84.6% on the media validation. Moreover, the statistical test showed that there is a significant change in implementing E-Module, which means that the HOT-LAB-based E-Module improved the students' Critical Thinking Skills.

Traffic is activity on a page of a site resulting from Internet visits and activity on that page. The more a site is visited, and the more activity Internet users engage in on the site’s pages, the higher its traffic. Traffic is like an audience on a television station, listener to the radio station, or circulation on print media. Traffic is the overall activity of readers on online media sites. Data collection from cnnindonesia.com is the commodification of content in an online forum, as in Kaskus and Kompasiana. The media are certainly competing to present exciting news content so that their readers remain loyal to their online. Exciting content on news portals and other efforts are employed solely to increase traffic. One such effort is the use of referral traffic, that is traffic which comes from other websites other than the major search engines, sources such as forums, blogs, and minor search engines are categorized as referral traffic. Visitors come to the online media portal through other websites and blog intermediaries. Although the contribution of made by referral traffic is not as great as the other sources, this practice considered quite useful as it does increase traffic in the media, traffic which is essential—and a measure of success.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, lectures at Unived Bengkulu were conducted online. One of the media used to facilitate online communication during lectures is google classroom. Lecturing through google classroom is a new innovation for lecturers and students who previously lectured face to face and then conducted online. To find out the use of online communication media, google classroom in lectures at Unived Bengkulu during the Covid-19 pandemic, the author uses the characteristics of innovation from Everett M. Rogers which has five characteristics that can affect the level of use of an innovation, namely relative advantage, compatibility, complexity, trialability, and observability. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods with data collection techniques of observation, interviews, and documentation. The technique of determining informants using purposive sampling, the informants consisted of three lecturers and nine students. The results of the study state that based on the characteristics of its relative advantage, google classroom is a flexible, simple and efficient medium. Based on the characteristics of compatibility, Google Classroom is considered suitable for use during this pandemic, because Google Classroom can be accessed anywhere and anytime that is connected to the internet. Complexity is felt in difficult networks, especially in rural areas. Based on observations during the trial in the early semester, this media can be reused in the following semester. The use of online communication media google classroom in lectures during the Covid-19 pandemic at Dehasen Bengkulu University ran smoothly and was suitable to be applied during the Covid-19 period, even though constraints with network, but this could be overcome because it had a deadline given by the lecturer.

AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji ekspresi bahasa pada berita pilpres 2019 di media online detik.com.Kajian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis wacana.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif untuk mendeskripsikan data yang berupa wacana dalam berita.Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode simak dengan teknik baca dan teknik catat, yaitu dengan menganalisis bentuk ekspresi bahasa pada pilihan kata yang terdapat dalam media online detik.com.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bentuk pilihan kata meliputi, nilai ekspresimental, yakni pola klasifikasi, proses leksikal (generalisasi), proses leksikal (kelebihan leksikal), kata-kata ideologis, relasi makna yang ideologis, dan metafora; nilai rasional, yakni ekspresi eufemisme dan kata �formal� dan �informal yang mencolok; serta nilai ekspresif. Berdasarkan analisis perspektif terhadap wacana berita Pilpres 2019 pada media online detik.com tidak ditemukan data yang berkaitan dengan perspektif promasyarakat, 2 data yang propemerintah, dan 3 data netral.Kata kunci: ekspresi bahasa, perspektif, analisis wacana, detik.com�AbstractThe purpose of this study is to examine the language expression in the 2019 presidential election news in detik.com online media. The study used in this study is discourse analysis. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods to describe data in the form of discourse in the news. The data collection technique used is the method of reading with reading techniques and note taking techniques, namely by analyzing the forms of language expression on word choices contained in detik.com online media. The results showed that the choice of words included expressive values, namely classification patterns, lexical processes (generalizations), lexical processes (lexical advantages), ideological words, ideological relations of meaning, and metaphors; rational values, namely expressions of euphemisms and the words' formal 'and' informal striking; and expressive value. Based on an analysis of the perspective of the 2019 Presidential Election news discourse on detik.com online media, there was no data related to the community's perspective, 2 government data, and 3 neutral data.Keywords: language expression, perspective, discourse analysis, detik.com

Children with special needs (ABK) are individuals who have different characteristics from individuals physically, intellectually and emotionally. Children with special needs need special education and services to optimize their potential in learning activities. Gadgets as one of the learning media that have many advantages can help children with special needs in the learning process. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the media (gadgets) can create effective learning activities for students with special needs in the classroom. This study uses qualitative methods by observing learning activities for English subjects for 2 weeks. The results showed that the use of devices by students with special needs can make it easier for students to access subject matter and help to do assignments from the teacher.

The purpose of this study is to explore the purpose of carrying out the rituals of ngabungbang and increase the local wisdom of Sundanese people, especially the people of Cihideung. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods, data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, document studies, literature studies, namely by investigating and covering the analysis and interpretation of data to conclusions based on research. Humans basically have bad traits which must be cleaned in order to bring kindness, peace and comfort to other beings. Cihideung residents believe that spirits and spirits who occupy their place can give good or bad. ngabungbang is silent outside the building by staying up all night especially in the sacred place of the full moon calendar which is usually done on the fourteenth of the month of mulud because in this month the birth of the prophet Muhammad SAW. the mosque. The mourning ritual is still carried on from generation to generation which mediates the people of Cihideung to rid themselves of bad traits, stay away from reinforcements in order to get good and be kept away from the ugliness that befalls them when living life, and respect their spirits with media used as media symbol in ritual. The media in this ritual are offerings for the karuhun which consist of: Gapar mulud, Gapar Kabulan, Nyimbel Red and white porridge, bitter coffee, brown sugar, milk, and clear water, salt, rice cone, rice and money.

This study aims to see how the strategy of the indozone.id visual team in designing infographics on Instagram social media. The research statement proposed is how the strategy of the indozone.id visual team in designing infographics on Instagram social media? In this study using a qualitative descriptive method based on the constructivist paradigm. The research subjects were the Visual Team, Editors, and Followers of the indozone Instagram account. With the data collection techniques of observation, interviews and documentation conducted through key-information and informants, this study uses the Media Ecology theory from MC. Luhan. In its implementation, online media owners produce various elements in the news they make. Online news agencies are always prone to convey unverified information to the wider community which results in misperception and misinterpretation of news that has facts. Therefore the focus of this research is the strategy of the indozone.id visual team in designing infographics on social media Instagram. The results of this study can be seen that the strategies implemented by indozone.id include making infographics easy to understand, interesting titles, looking for news to be used as infographics, obstacles when making infographics. This research is elucidating the teacher’s roles in the implementation of media literacy in the historical learning. The research site is in Senior High School 2 Magelang with the subject of research is the history teachers and students in 10th grade and 11th grade. The qualitative method with case study approach was used in this research to to get deeper data that contain the meaning. The data collection was conducted through the observation by plunging into the field and observes directly how the conditions are running in the classroom. Then in addition, the authors also conducted interviews with the teachers and students. These data collection, then combined or triangulated with observation, interview and documentation. This research shows that the teacher's role in media literacy is necessary in the process of learning history.
