Some cases of common fixed point theory for classes of generalized nonexpansive maps are studied. Also, we show that the Picard-Mann scheme can be employed to approximate the unique solution of a mixed-type Volterra-Fredholm functional nonlinear integral equation.

The purpose of this paper is to introduce the notion of a generalized $\alpha$-Geraghty contraction type mapping in $b$-metric~spaces and state the existence and uniqueness of a fixed point for this mapping. These results are generalizations of certain the main results in [D.~\DJ uki\'{c}, Z.~Kadelburg, and S.~Radenovi\'{c}, \emph{Fixed points of Geraghty-type mappings in various generalized metric spaces}, Abstr. Appl. Anal. \textbf{2011} (2011), 13 pages] and [O.~Popescu, \emph{ Some new fixed point theorems for $\alpha$-Geraghty contraction type maps in metric spaces}, Fixed Point Theory Appl. \textbf{2014:190} (2014), 1 -- 12]. Some examples are given to illustrate the obtained results and to show that these results are proper extensions of the existing ones. Then we apply the obtained theorem to study the existence of solutions to the nonlinear integral equation.

We study the convergence analysis of a Picard-S iterative method for a particular class of weakcontraction mappings and give a data dependence result for fixed points of these mappings. Also, we show that the Picard-S iterative method can be used to approximate the unique solution of mixed type Volterra-Fredholm functional nonlinear integral equation x (t) = F(t, x(t), ?t1,a1... ?tm,am K(t,s,x(s))ds, ?b1,a1...?bm,am H(t,s,x(s))ds). Furthermore, with the help of the Picard-S iterative method, we establish a data dependence result for the solution of integral equation mentioned above.

In this paper, we prove coincidence and common fixed points results under nonlinear contractions on a metric space equipped with an arbitrary binary relation. Our results extend, generalize, modify and unify several known results especially those are contained in Berzig [J. Fixed Point Theory Appl. 12, 221-238 (2012))]  and Alam and Imdad [To appear in Filomat (arXiv:1603.09159 (2016))]. Interestingly, a corollary to one of our main results under symmetric closure of a binary relation remains a sharpened version of a theorem due to Berzig. Finally, we use examples to highlight the accomplished improvements in the results of this paper.

Fixed-point theory in complex valued metric spaces has greatly developed in recent times. In this paper, we prove certain common fixed-point theorems for two single-valued mappings in such spaces. The mappings we consider here are assumed to satisfy certain metric inequalities with generalized fixed-point theorems due to Rouzkard and Imdad (2012). This extends and subsumes many results of other authors which were obtained for mappings on complex-valued metric spaces.

In this paper, we provide some generalizations of the Darbo's fixed point theorem and further develop the notion of $F$-contraction introduced by Wardowski in (\cite{wad}, D. Wardowski, \emph{Fixed points of a new type of contractive mappings in complete metric spaces,} Fixed Point Theory and Appl., 94, (2012)). To achieve this, we introduce the notion of Darbo-type $F$-contraction, cyclic $(\alpha,\beta)$-admissible operator and we also establish some fixed point and common fixed point results for this class of mappings in the framework of Banach spaces. In addition, we apply our fixed point results to establish the existence of solution to a Volterra type integral equation.

In this paper, we introduce the notion of generalized cyclic contraction pair with transitive mapping in partial b-metric spaces. Also, we establish some fixed point theorems for this contraction pair. Our results generalize and improve the result of Oratai Yamaod, Wutiphol Sintunavarat and Yeol Je Cho (Fixed Point Theory App. 2015:164) in partial-b-metric spaces.

Contractive conditions introduced in (Q. Zhang and Y. Song, Fixed point theory for generalized ?-weak contraction, Appl. Math. Lett. 22(2009), 75-78) and (D. Djoric, Common fixed point for generalized (?, ?)-weak contractions, Applied Mathematics Letters, 22(2009), 1896-1900) are employed to obtain a new common fixed point theorem for four maps. Our result substantially generalizes comparable results in the literature. 2010 Mathematics Subject Classifications. 47H10. .

In 1980. Fisher in [Fisher, B., Results on common fixed points on complete metric spaces, Glasgow Math. J., 21 (1980), 165–167] proved very interesting fixed point result for the pair of maps. In 1996. Kada, Suzuki and Takahashi introduced and studied the concept of w–distance in fixed point theory. In this paper, we generalize Fisher’s result for pair of mappings on metric space to complete metric space with w–distance. The obtained results do not require the continuity of maps, but more relaxing condition (C; k). As a corollary we obtain a result of Chatterjea.

The ω -distance mapping is one of the important tools that can be used to get new contractions in fixed point theory. The aim of this paper is to use the concept of modified ω -distance mapping to introduce the notion of rational ( α , β ) φ - m ω contraction. We utilize our new notion to construct and formulate many fixed point results for a pair of two mappings defined on a nonempty set A. Our results modify many existing known results. In addition, we support our work by an example.

We use interpolation to obtain a common fixed point result for a new type of Ćirić–Reich–Rus-type contraction mappings in metric space. We also introduce a new concept of g-interpolative Ćirić–Reich–Rus-type contractions in b-metric spaces, and we prove some fixed point results for such mappings. Our results extend and improve some results on the fixed point theory in the literature. We also give some examples to illustrate the given results.
