Quantitative research and evaluation of ecological carrying capacity in Qinghai Province is in line with the requirements of the 13th five-year plan, and is of practical significance to the construction of ecological civilization in Qinghai Province. Based on the PSR model, this paper constructs the evaluation index system of ecological carrying capacity from three aspects of pressure, state ,and response, uses the entropy method to determine the index weight coefficient, and comprehensively evaluates the changing trend of ecological carrying capacity since the 12th Five Year Plan of Qinghai Province from the perspectives of economy, society, resources, and environment. The results show that: from 2011 to 2019, the comprehensive evaluation of ecological carrying capacity in Qinghai Province shows a trend of first decreasing and then increasing, the response index evaluation increases greatly, the state index evaluation shows a fluctuating growth, and the pressure index is relatively stable. Based on this, the PSR model and entropy method are typical and quantifiable, which can provide a reference for Qinghai provincial government to control the ecological environment, study ecological sustainability and delimit the ecological red line.

On the basis of the ecological carrying capacity connotation and to realize the coordinated development of economics and environment in Beijing mountainous valley areas, ecological carrying capacity evaluation was discussed in order to promote corresponding advices. The comprehensive evaluation index system was built which included ecosystem elasticity level,bearing capacity index and stress index of ecotourism. The comprehensive evaluation method was constructed. The score of ecosystem resilience of Puwa valley region in 2012 was 74.6, which was more stable. The score of carrying capacity of resource and environment was 49.3 which reached medium level. The score of carrying capacity pressure was 84.2 which attained huge pressure. The score of carrying capacity system was 67.0 which was the second level. At last, this study promoted several corresponding advices.

In this study, the supportable maximum GDP/ population and the water poverty status were analyzed using the dual indices calculation model and the water poverty index in the Ecological Economic Zone of Dongting Lake in the different planning level years. The results showed that the supportable maximum GDP and population keep on increasing in the Ecological Economic Zone of Dongting Lake in the planning level years, and that in the Yueyang, Changde and Yiyang was the three maximum. On the other hands, the water poverty status in the Ecological Economic Zone of Dongting Lake was improved in the planning level years since the water conservancy project construction, the incremental water supply and the pollutants abatement.
