Birth assistance in health facilities is one of the most effective ways to reduce maternal mortality. The skilled birth attendants can provide prompt and appropriate services in case of complications for the mother and baby. For this purpose, midwives should disseminate appropriate information so that the mother can have birth in the health facility. The objective of this study was to determine the relationship of husband and cultural support to the choice of birth place in the working area of Berseri Pangkalan Kerinci Health Center of Palalawan District. This retrospective study used a quantitative approach with a total sample of 87 respondents selected with cluster sampling technique. Data were obtained through questionnaires. The data analysis used univariate and bivariate with chi-square statistic test. There was a relationship of a husband's support to the choice of birth place and with a p value of 0.000 and there was a relationship of culture to the choice of birth place with a p value of 0.028. Therefore, the health personnel should disseminate and improve P4K programs to optimize community participation in the preparation of childbirth, including a choice of birth place.

Background: The positive association between adverse life events and somatoform disorders is a consistent observation. But no systematic studies have evaluated the relationship between health-related life events (HLEs) in patients with somatic symptom disorder (SSD)/somatoform disorders. Aim: To examine the nature and relationship of HLE in patients with SSD and to assess the correlates of HLE. Methods: A total of 50 adult patients with SSD and 50 matched healthy controls from a Neuropsychiatric hospital were recruited. Sociodemographic interview, scale for assessment of somatic symptoms (SASS), Patient Health Questionnaire-15 (PHQ-15) and a semi-structured interview schedule to gather information on HLE were used. Results: Patients in the SSD group had a significantly higher number of total HLE in general (4.72 ± 2.63, 3.36 ± 1.92; p = .004), major HLE (1.48 ± 1.45, 0.68 ± 0.94; p = .006), during their lifetime in comparison to controls. Infections, trauma, non-communicable diseases and reproductive system–related diseases were the more common types of HLE in SSD group. Conclusion: Our findings may implicate a role of major HLE of patients and HLE of their family members in the pathophysiology of SSD.

This study examined the relationship of group performance as a function of group size, where members within each group are of similar initial ability levels, but members in different groups are of different levels. 5 wk. later on the basis of a paper-and-pencil test, Ss were formed into groups composed of all high Ss, all medium Ss, and all low Ss, with size varying from 2 to 5 persons. Ss working as a group retook the same test. Results showed that groups with different initial levels have their own unique patterns of improvement as the size of the group increases.

The objective of this study is to explain inconsistencies in the relationship between depression and all-cause mortality by performing a reassessment of the included studies of previous systematic reviews. We assessed study-level methodological variables with a focus on sample size and follow-up period, measurement and classification of depression, and model adjustment. We included the constituent studies of fifteen systematic reviews on depression and mortality, yielding 488 articles after the removal of duplicates. 333 studies were extracted, 40 of which used data that overlapped with other included studies. We included 313 estimates from 293 articles in the meta-analysis with a total sample of 3,604,005 participants and over 417,901 deaths. We identified a pronounced publication bias favoring large, positive associations in imprecise studies. Several factors moderated the relationship between depression and mortality. Most importantly, the 16 estimates adjusting for at least one comorbid mental condition (Pooled Effect: 1.08; 95% CI: 0.98-1.18), and the fraction of 8 of those estimates also adjusting for health variables (e.g., smoking, alcohol use, or physical inactivity; Pooled Effect: 1.04; 95% CI: 0.87-1.21), reported considerably smaller associations than the 204 unadjusted estimates (Pooled Effect: 1.32; 95% CI: 1.28-1.36). The sizable relationship of depression and mortality reported in previous systematic reviews is largely based on low-quality studies; controlling for important covariates attenuates the association considerably. Higher quality studies are needed based on large community samples, extensive follow-up, adjustment for health behaviors and mental disorders, and time-to-event outcomes based on survival analysis methodology.

Achievement motivation can encourage students to learn. In achieving success requires the support of parents. Poverty makes some parents from poor families have little time to guide the children. Consequently, parenting is not going well. This research aims to describe the relationship of parenting and achievement motivation of students who come from poor families. This research is quantitative descriptive with correlation metod. The population in this study are all students of SMP Negeri which in category BSM receiver in Padang. Total sample of 170 students, selected by cluster random sampling technique. Data was collected using Likert scale model measurements. Analysis of data using statistical techniques of correlation with the data collected in interval form Then analyzed using percentages. Testing the hypothesis by using the Pearson product moment correlation. The findings of this study are: (1) parenting students who come from poor families in Padang are in good enough category. (2) achievement motivation of students who come from poor families in Padang in low category. (3) There are significant positive relationship between parenting and achievement motivation of students who come from poor families. This result meant that better the care of the parents, the higher achievement motivation of student. Counselor in cooperation with school personnel and parents to encourage students increase achievement motivation.

The problem in this study is the relationship between the explosive power of the arms, the explosive power of the legs and hand eye coordination on the smash ability in the volleyball game of the students of FIK UNM. The population in this study were all students of FIK UNM sports coaching education with a total sample of 30 students who were selected by random sampling. The data analysis technique used is the correlation and regression analysis technique using the SPSS version 16 system at a significant level of 95% or α 0.05. Starting from the results of data analysis, this study concludes that: (1) The correlation between arm explosive power and smash ability in volleyball, proved to be r0 = 0.955 (P <α 0.05), (2) The relationship between limb explosive power and smash ability at volleyball game, proved to be r0 = 0.917 (P <α0.05), (3) The relationship between hand eye coordination and smash ability in volleyball games, proved to be R0 = 0.852 (P <α 0.05), (4) Relationship of arm explosive power , limb explosive power and hand eye coordination on smash ability in volleyball game proved to be r0 = 0.970 (P <α0.05). This can be explained that if a student is supported by good explosive power, leg explosive power and ankle coordination, the student can do a good smash too.

Ocean-atmospheric interactions have effects at different scales; forming microclimates, which can explain variations with climatic or natural anomalies, between meteorological processes. This research analyzes and identifies the relationship of the teleconnection hydrometeorological effects, which determine the distribution of precipitation in corn yield. The data were used from a semi-structured interview directed to corn producers, where seven years of case studies were identified for the eastern region of the state of Puebla, Mexico. The Graphics were made with “pentad scale distribution”. The results show the importance of geographical location for agricultural activities in relation to a valley with altitudinal gradient. In addition, the corn growth cycle is associated with tropical disturbances from east Puebla region as well as Hurricane activity. It was identified that the relationship of teleconnections and the distribution of rainfall are main factors that influence in the development good or bad of corn, showed in the yields, where the different phases of ENSO (EL NIÑO Southern Oscillation) have a differentiated impact on the availability of precipitation in this case studies of the present investigation.
