The increasing number of online-based transactions, particularly e-commerce, has raised a variety of legal issues that can harm consumers. To regulate online-based transactions, a number of laws and regulations were established. Online transactions have also now reached the villages. As for the village of Aikmual, where devotional activities will be carried out, online transactions, especially online buying and selling, have been commonly carried out by mothers. About one-third of women in Aikmual village have become accustomed to buying and selling online through various e-commerce platforms. To avoid losses to consumers, the Extension Team of the Faculty of Law, Mataram University, will conduct legal counseling activities regarding Consumer Protection in online-based transactions in Aikmual village. This legal counseling method is carried out through lectures, namely the delivery of material by the extension team and by means of discussion with the target audience. The conclusion of this extension activity is that there are several problems related to online transactions faced by the target audience, including discrepancies between goods ordered and those received by consumers, concerns about the security and legality of online investment, and lack of public understanding about the legal mechanisms that can be taken by consumers when facing problems in online transactions

<p>Society is one of the elements in the formation of legal products by the government so that the legal products that are formed do not cause harm to one or both parties. Formation of legal products or laws and regulations in order to meet legal objectives (for example justice, expediency, and legal certainty), it is also necessary that a legal product is made by an authorized official or government which by law is given the authority to form regulations laws or legal products. This is important because it relates to the relief of a legal product or the needs and issues of village law between one village and another because of the different environmental and community conditions between one village and another. Community participation in the formation of village regulations is important because the community knows about legal issues in the community, so it is important when establishing laws and regulations, especially village<br />regulations to find out the aspirations of the village community concerned. In addition, public legal awareness is important in the context of enactment to achieve the goals of what is the goal of a legal product that is made. The method used is a normative juridical approach to the legislation and the doctrine of law and using qualitative analysis.</p>

Contingent charges for financial services, such as fees for unauthorized overdrafts, are often controversial. We study the economics of contingent charges in a stylized setting with naive and sophisticated consumers. We contrast situations where the naive benefit from the presence of sophisticated consumers with situations where competition works to subsidize the sophisticated at the expense of the naive, arguably unfairly. The case for regulatory intervention in these situations depends in good part, but not only, on the weight placed on distributional concerns. The economic and legal issues at stake are well illustrated by a case on bank charges recently decided by the U.K. Supreme Court. (JEL D14, D18, G21, G28, L51)

The onset and spread of COVID-19-related disease and the measures taken by the government to combat it have given rise to several legal issues. The most important of these issues can be considered the government's legal framework in the fight against this disease and the responsibility for compensation. Examining the first issue through Iran's current laws and regulations, it became clear that choosing the appropriate legal framework in the fight against this disease could be more than the basic and ordinary regulations. Instead of creating a national headquarters to fight COVID-19 under council approvals, the Supreme National Security Service shall use the capacities of the crisis management organization and the relevant law and the provisions of Article 79 of the Iranian constitution.

The study aims to analyze the comparative perspectives between Islamic Law and Indonesian Positive Law in the practices of online buying and selling (trading). This study uses a juridical and normative approach with a specification of descriptive-analytical research. The data comes from primary law, secondary law, and tertiary law, and the researcher used a qualitative method to analyse the data. The shift and development of offline-based buying and selling (trading) practices to online practices today has required special regulation in the Indonesian Positive Law. The absence of specific rules regarding the practice of online buying and selling indicates that these activities should be subjected to the existing positive Indonesian laws. The principle of freedom of making contracts in the Civil Code (KUH Perdata) provides freedom to make any trade agreements. For the sake of legal certainty in the execution of online buying and selling, the parties must refer to the provisions of the Civil Code, the Information and Electronic Transaction Law (ITE Law), and the Consumer Protection Law (UUPK Law) that are relevant to the trading practice. In addition to these provisions, Islamic Law within the scope of mu’amalah also provides guidelines for the practice of direct buying and selling, but not online buying and selling; however, Islamic law also provides freedom in mu’amalah. The existence of these provisions makes it interesting to conduct a comparative study on the principles of online trading practices from the perspectives of Islamic law and Indonesian positive law. Islamic Law considers it legal to conduct online buying and selling if the terms and conditions of buying and selling are fulfilled, if it provides benefits and negates harm, and if it does not conflict with Al-Qur’an and Al-Hadith, and if it can be designated as al-‘adatu muhakkamah (a custom which is defined as law). According to the Indonesian positive law, in principle, online trading is legal as long as it fulfills the provisions of trading, that is the fulfillment of the terms, elements, principles, rights, and obligations of the parties regulated in the provisions of the Civil Code, Information and Electronic Transaction’s Law, and Consumer Protection Law, along with providing legal assurance and protection for the parties. Keywords: comparative study, online buying and selling, Islamic law, Indonesian positive law
