For a long time library services of the elementary schools developed slowly due to the deficiency of funds and human resources. The phenomenon is also easily ignored or neglected by the public. The emergence of the blog brings new opportunities for the elementary school libraries with its attributes of low cost, low technique and easy interactions. The purpose of this study is to probe into the blog applied in an information literacy program in elementary school libraries from different perspectives: students’ uses of the blogs ,students’ learning behavior during the program, and opinions of students and the librarian-teacher toward the program.

The Web 2.0 thinking and accompanying technologies opened a new direction of development for libraries. Among different Web 2.0 applications wikis are particularly attractive for school librarians. Wikis are read-write web pages that are easy to use, accommodate other Web 2.0 features and are widely applicable for a number of purposes. A Wiki space named LibraryZone is a good example of using wiki in elementary school library. LibraryZone is used for information literacy instructions, conducting a collaborative project, for story writing and as a discussion space.

In Germany the cooperation between libraries and schools is becoming ever more important – also in the context of full-day school care. There are a growing number of cooperation agreements between libraries and schools. Due to Germany’s federal structures and because of the lack of a legal framework, this development is not standardized. Frankfurt/Main is one of the few German cities which have professionally supported school library work for a long time. Professional school library work has been part of the Public Library Frankfurt/Main’s portfolio for more than 30 years.

Abstrak. Perpustakaan merupakan bagian integral dilingkungan sekolah, oleh karena itu perlu adanya kerjasama dalam memaksimalkan potensi layanan perpustakaan sekolah. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menemukan jawaban dari rumusan kerjasama antara guru dengan pustakawan dalam layanan perpustakaan sekolah di Perpustakaan SD Hikmah Teladan. Selain dari itu untuk mengetahui bentuk kerjasama dalam layanan perpustakaan sekolah dan untuk mengetahui kriteria layanan perpustakaan sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik yang digunakan untuk pengambilan sampel yaitu teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik pengolahan data dilakukan dengan cara reduksi data, analisis data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat kerjasama antara guru dengan pustakawan dalam layanan perpustakaan sekolah. kerjasama penting untuk dilakukan guna mengoptimalkan potensi layanan perpustakaan sekolah. kerjasama yang dilakukan yaitu dalam bentuk pelaksanaan program kegiatan perpustakaan, pembinaan minat baca, promosi perpustakaan dan pembinaan koleksi. Perpustakaan SD Hikmah Teladan sebagai perpustakaan sekolah perlu melakukan kerjasama dengan berbagai pihak secara terus menerus dalam layanan perpustakaan sekolah.Kata kunci: kerjasama guru dengan pustakawan, layanan perpustakaan, pustakawan sekolahAbstract. The library is an integral part of the school environment, therefore the need for cooperation in maximizing the potential of school library services. This research is done to find the answer from the formula of cooperation between teachers and librarians in the school library services in elementary school libraries Hikmah Teladan. Aside from that to determine the form of cooperation in the school library services and to determine the criteria for school library services, theoretically and practically expected results of this study can be useful for SD Hikmah Teladan Library. The technique used for sampling is non-random sampling technique. Data collected by interview, observation and documentation. Data processing techniques carried out by way of data reduction, data analysis and conclusion. The results showed that there is cooperation between teachers and librarians in the school library service. Cooperation is important to do in order to optimize the potential of school library services. cooperation carried out in the form of implementation of the program of activities of the library, development of reading, and library promotion and development of the collection. FMV Erenköy Işık High School-Science High School Library is a place for learning that provides an environment for academic, social, cultural and personal development of all individuals who make up the school community. School library provides services to the school community through activities such as reading projects, symposiums, extended essay studies with International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IB DP) students and information literacy program with 9-science 1 class students.   Information Literacy Program includes 4 different sessions and based on Big6 skills. Literacy skills and digital citizenship, research steps, academic honesty and reporting processes provide students with the opportunity to improve their knowledge of literacy skills, which is one of the most important elements of 21st century competencies. Evaluation of the program was carried out by implementation some technological applications (QR code, kahoot), pre-test and post-test surveys.

Provides an overview on the significance of studying information seeking behavior of children to enhance the role of school libraries. The literature on children's information seeking behavior is reviewed and integrated into the perspective of school library services. Discussion on the different models of information seeking is presented. Focuses on children's information seeking behavior in the electronic environment. Outlines issues related to children's access and barriers to information. An analysis of research methodology used is provided. Offers suggestions on the future research direction with emphasis on the Malaysian school libraries environment.

Elementary school students in Grades 3 to 8 in eight schools that had exemplary library programs were surveyed about their perceptions of the school library program and the teacher librarian. Students reported that the teacher librarian was knowledgeable and helpful and taught them key information literacy concepts. The library program supported them in reading for pleasure. The physical space of the library was significant to them and they perceived the library as a welcoming place used for multiple activities.

While the Philosophy for Children (P4C) method has been adopted within classrooms by individual teachers and into some school systems by schoolboards, public and school libraries, the ideal users of this sort of programming, have been slow to recognise the benefits of this didactic methodology. This is particularly surprising given that the P4C method integrates perfectly with traditional story-time orientated programming. Not only is the integration of P4C into story-time sessions virtually seamless (as it does not aim to replace, but rather strives to enhance story-telling), but it might also help reinvigorate a well-established feature of library programming with an aim to develop 21st-century information literacy competencies. This paper examines the case for the P4C method, explains the process of integration of the P4C method with traditional story-time, and highlights the potential benefits of incorporating Philosophy for Children in public and school library programming.

Library Media Center 2000 focuses on school library services, technology, training and advocacy—restructuring information and meeting learning needs: linguistic, cultural, multimedia. Over the last three years, San Francisco library media teachers have engaged in a process of professional development opportunities, networking and communication. In a district that has experienced massive cutbacks in library media services, library media teachers have encouraged and supported each other while learning to use new technologies, and sharing areas of expertise and resources.

Across the globe, school libraries play an essential role in preparing students for living and working in the 21st century through information literacy. The Rutgers University Center for International Scholarship in School Libraries (CISSL) promotes this initiative in information literacy through research on the impact of school libraries on student learning, research symposia for international scholars, and training institutes for school librarians and teachers. Our research shows that guided inquiry is a dynamic, innovative way of developing information literacy through the school library. Guided inquiry is carefully planned, closely supervised, targeted intervention of an instructional team of school librarians and teachers that leads students through the research process toward independent learning. Guided inquiry develops research skills and subject knowledge as well as fostering cooperative learning, motivation, reading comprehension, language development and social skills that underlie competency for our young people in the 21st century.

Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, all schools had to close their doors last year. Classes moved to a virtual environment, and students and teachers were left without the opportunity to visit school libraries overnight. Therefore, the school library of the Prva gimnazija Maribor has operated smoothly throughout the time of the epidemic and strives to facilitate the work of students, teachers, and other employees as much as possible, continue to promote reading, develop reading and information literacy, and at the same time enrich the educational process. The article presents how we found our way to our readers despite the difficult situation.
