Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui hubungan antara self confidence dan self awareness terhadap variabel komunikasi efektif, aspek tersebut menjadi hal yang sangat dibutuhkan bagi SDM di era industri saat ini. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 100 Mahasiswa Psikologi UINSA yang masih aktif dalam tahun ajaran 2020-2021. Analisa data yang digunakan menggunakan Regresi Linier Berganda. Hubungan self confidence dan self awareness dan komunikasi efektif adalah sangat signifikan, terlihat dari nilai F sebesar 17,268 dengan nilai p  adalah 0,000 (< 0,05). Variabel self confidence dan self awareness masing-masing memiliki nilai koefisien korelasi 0,393 dan 0,453 terhadap variabel Komunikasi. Hasil uji hipotesis didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa self confidence dan self awareness berhubungan positif terhadap variabel komunikasi efektif dan berdasarkan nilai korelasi dapat dikatakan bahwa self awareness lebih berpengaruh terhadap komunikasi efektif. R Square sebesar 0,263 menunjukkan self confidence dan self awareness secara simultan memberikan kontribusi dalam mempengaruhi komunikasi efektif sebesar 26,3%, sedangkan sisanya 73,7% dipengaruhi oleh variabel atau faktor lain.

This research aim to test do emotional intellegence consisting of five component that is recognition self awareness, self regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills have an effect on to storey level understanding of accountancy point of view from gender perspective. This research also aim to know the existence of role self confidence as moderating variable to emotional intellegence influence to storey level understanding of accounting. Besides also this research aim to see the existence of difference emotional intellegence between student owning self confidence of strong with student which is self confidence of weak. Measuring instrument to measure storey level understanding of accountancy is average point of accountancy that is PA1, PA2, AKM1, AKM2, AKL1, AKL2, AU1, AU2, and TA. The data analysis used is simple linear regression, Moderating Regression Analysis (MRA), and independent sample t-test. The results show that recognition self awareness, self regulation, motivation, social skill and empathy do not have an effect on by significance and only empatht  has  role as quasi moderator variable. There is no difference between emotional intellegence woman and man. But, weak self confidence and strong self confidence differ for all of emotional intellegence (recognition self awareness, self regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills). Many factors which influence storey level understanding of accountancy like mental stress factor, and so on. Result of this research can give contribution to university in order to compiling curricullum and give input to student in order to develop and manage their emotional intellegence and self confidence.

This article offers a critical reflection on an international social work study programme at a Northern European university in 2015. This study develops a shared sense of the expectations and experiences of two academic staff and two students who took part in this social work programme. Interesting findings from this life-changing opportunity were ascertained and included awareness of own motivational learning as well as developing cultural competencies (including language and communication skills), intellectual competencies (including working with others to solve problems), social competencies (including increases in self-confidence and self-awareness) and professional competencies (via increases in professional networks). This supports national data regarding the importance of student mobility including study visits abroad.

The principal goal of L2 education is to enhance learners’ willingness to communicate (WTC). Hence, this survey study was undertaken with the purpose of exploring Indonesian EFL learners’ WTC especially in a classroom context or the so-called Instructional WTC (IWTC) in order to know the conditions triggering their willingness and unwillingness to communicate using L2. This survey applied descriptive quantitative method where 100 EFL learners from three State Universities in Indonesia were involved as the respondents. The respondents are the English students of IAIN Curup Bengkulu, Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta and Universitas Musamus Merauke Papua. Those universities represent three of five major islands in Indonesia. A questionnaire was distributed to the respondents in order to explore their WTC in six IWTC components comprising communicative self-confidence, integrative orientation, situational context of L2 use, topical enticement, learning responsibility, and off-instruction communication. The findings revealed that group size, classroom environment, students’ cohesiveness, familiarity to the topic, degree of topic preparation, classroom seating arrangement, gender, self-awareness, and familiarity with interlocutors were the factors that affected learners’ WTC. Further studies are highly recommended to deeply explore the teaching activities done by teachers by considering the influential factors of learners’ willingness and unwillingness to communicate as an effort to maximize their WTC.

The executive or other member of the organization who is in charge of the change initiative will need to engage in self-assessment to identify the need for personal development of any change leadership competencies and skills and then implement a plan for leader for development. Traits including a high energy level, emotional maturity, personal integrity, self-confidence, and an achievement orientation are valuable assets. Task, relationship, and change behaviors and the use of influence tactics are all essential. A change leader must develop self-awareness, including the understanding of one’s basic philosophies and preferences as well as strengths and areas to develop. Ethics issues are relevant in organizational change leadership. All of these dynamics of change leadership will affect how a change leader will design and implement an organizational change intervention.

International healthcare experiences (IHEs) provide opportunities for students to experience healthcare in unfamiliar and sometimes challenging settings. Students have reported multiple benefits through completion of IHEs including increased personal and professional development, increased cultural sensitivity, and increased self-awareness and self-confidence. While many benefits have been noted, there are also many challenges in developing, implementing, and sustaining IHEs including financial considerations, safety concerns, and apprehensions regarding the impact the IHE is having on foreign patients and healthcare workers. This chapter's aim is to summarize the currently available literature on IHEs and to provide subjective reflections from students and international colleagues associated with IHEs connected to the authors' institutions.

This chapter looks at the use of theatre as a tool for teaching self-awareness, the effects of bias, the understanding of complex human conditions, empathy, attunement, self-confidence, and decision-making in medical resident education. While more common in undergraduate medical programs and used across the health professions, theatre is emerging as a meaningful tool for education and research in the resident experience. The chapter is set within a performance studies paradigm that includes current understanding of the neuroscientific effect of theater on the body and in relationship, information that provides an explanation of how and why theater is an effective educational tool. It includes a brief literature review and examines four different projects that reflect the ways that theater is being used with Canadian residents in programs across the country.

The purpose of this study is to qualitatively explore situations in which athletes perceived communication with their coach to be important and determine the effect of this communication on the athletes. Literature on the communication process in sports emphasizes the distinct characteristics of each sports and its setting. However, previous research has not studied various settings in detail, and archery is yet to be explored. The qualitative process included an in-depth, semi-structured interview with eight Olympic archers. Thematic analysis was used to interpret the data. Athletes perceived communication with coaches to be important during their performance, while dealing with psychological crises, and during their training. Our analysis suggests that, depending on the communicative actions, a coach may positively or negatively impact an athlete’s self-awareness, self-confidence, anxiety, autonomy, and motivation. A noteworthy finding of this study is that archers perceive communication with coaches about the selection and management of equipment as important. This study emphasizes the critical role of an athlete’s communication with the coach in various situations and discusses the theoretical and practical implications in the context of sports performance.

Most international students entering RMIT's MBA program have relatively limited work experience and lack self-presentation skills. Some shortcomings in self-confidence in a western culture, job-seeking skills, networking experience and personal presentation skills are also evident. In these qualities the international students are notably different from the older Australian part-time students with whom they study. This visible diversity provided the catalyst for developing several “internationalising components” to better meet the needs of international students to enable international students to present themselves as informed, capable, culturally aware and desirable graduates. This paper describes how program changes were made with the objectives of building team interaction and problem solving skills, as well as cross-cultural awareness, building self-awareness of “me as a manager in the global marketplace” and exploring cultural diversity in business practices. In addition, the “competencies” stream was modified, with emphasis being placed on students' ability to assess the appropriateness and cultural fit of western models and theories in their own countries.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to develop and present a research model on various emotional intelligence (EI) constructs which have been found to influence job performance in the prior literature. Design/methodology/approach In addition to leadership and EI, the constructs are clustered under different categories: self-awareness includes self-confidence, emotional self-awareness and accurate self-assessment; self-management includes self-control, adaptability, conscientiousness, trustworthiness and optimism; social awareness includes empathy, organizational awareness and service orientation; and social skills groups’ communication, change catalyst, developing others and self-monitoring. Findings The paper proposes 17 hypotheses concerning significant relationships between these constructs and job performance. Originality/value The paper proposes a new approach toward studying the impact of various constructs of EI on job performance in Saudi banking sector.

Intrapersonal competencies complement the interpersonal skills of emotionally intelligent leaders. Experts believe that general intelligence (IQ) contributes to no more than twenty- five percent of ones overall success. The extent to which employers are capable of indentifying and meeting their employees job satisfaction needs can be a significant characteristic of their emotional intelligence (EI), in contrast with their cognitive abilities. In this study, the quantitative research method was used to determine the employees perceptions of their leaders intrapersonal competencies and their influence on their job satisfaction; the six competencies being self-awareness, self-confidence, self-expression, self-control, adaptability, and optimism. In order to be satisfied at work, the findings of this study clearly indicate that employees prefer to be led by leaders who are confident in their leadership role, who send out clear, unambiguous messages, who maintain self-control, who are adaptable and flexible, who face the future with optimism, and who support the establishment of a collegial working environment. Evidently, the findings corroborate the hypothesis that employees believe that the intrapersonal competencies of leaders have a positive influence on the employees sense of job satisfaction. This studys findings, therefore, confirm that the key to the leaders self-knowledge is access to their own feelings and the ability to discriminate among them and draw upon them to guide behaviour in their organisations. It makes a contribution to the emerging research being accomplished on leaders intrapersonal intelligence with more research still needing to be done on how these competencies impact on the organisational climate and culture.
