Over the past decades Information Technology has made a tremendous impact on the lives of humans, so much so, that one can safely state that humans eat, breathe and live IT. Each and every aspect of the life of those living in the “modern” world is under the spell of IT. The talk of the day is E-economy, E-education, E-commerce, E-finance, E-government, E-entertainment, E-communication, E-mail; E-learning.. ..the world we are living in has become an E-world. In this whirlpool, many are still groping in the dark while a lot more have kept the pace in both developed and developing countries. The impact of the E thing and IT has attained such dimensions that concepts like cognition, cognitive development, fluid intelligence, crystallized intelligence, emotional intelligence, memory, learning, sensation and perception, and other related terms used to qualify, quantify and explain human experiences have become almost empty concepts in the face of what is nowadays known as artificial intelligence. This paper aims to analyse the biological, physiological and psychological aspects of memory and learning and to critically look at the impact of Information Technology Education and Information Technology in the every day dealings of humans. It also aims to be a thought provoking piece of work, to the scientific minds working on Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Computers and derivatives, and all the perspectives that Artificial Intelligence offers to humanity, not forgetting that “the human mind and natural intelligence is behind it all”.

The present work is a follow-up of the papers presented at the Northern Arizona University, USA - “Accommodating soft skills in Software project Management” and the one presented at Salford University, Manchester, UK - “ The ontogeny of memory of learning: Natural Intelligence versus Artificial Intelligence in Information Technology Education”. Several interrogations cropped up during and after the presentation of the second paper, particularly on the conclusions, if any, that could have been drawn on the effects of soft skills, intelligence and intelligences; and if the next step would be to further investigate the impact of these on Information Technology Education. The impression that there was an urgent need to delve deeper into these factors and to find out their importance from the point of view of information technology education and other non IT fields lingered on for an appreciable length of time. In order to reply to the various unavoidable questions that arose from an analysis of the hypothetical aspects introduced in the above mentioned papers, we have tried to look into the influence of the factors related to the concepts of soft skills and intelligence in educational endeavours. In order to have an in-depth appreciation of the importance of these factors, we have solicited the involvement of both IT and Non-IT students reading in the fields of Administration and Management and Information Technology. Finding out the importance and the influence of soft skills and intelligence or intelligences became an obsession which resulted in an interesting and passionate exercise with the involvement of nearly two hundred students. We believe that, sharing the results of our findings with other colleagues would arouse further interests and trigger other more interesting research in the field.

Information technology is taking the world by storm. The technological world is changing rapidly and drastically. Human activities are taken over by robots and computers. The usage of computers and robots has increased productivity in various sectors. The emergence of artificial intelligence has stirred up many debates on both its importance and limitations. Artificial intelligence is directed to the usage of Information Technology in conducting tasks that normally require human intelligence. The expectation of artificial intelligence is high, nevertheless, artificial intelligence has its shortcomings namely the impact of artificial intelligence on the concept of a legal personality. The problem with artificial Intelligence is the debate on whether does it have a legal personality? And another problem is under what situation does the law treat artificial intelligence as an entity with its own rights and obligations. The objective of this article is to examine the various definitions of legal personality and whether artificial intelligence can become a legal person. The article will also examine the criminal liability of artificial intelligence when a crime has been committed. The methodology adopted is qualitative namely Doctrinal Legal Research by analyzing the relevant legal views from various journals on artificial intelligence. The study found out that artificial intelligence has its limitations in defining its legal personality and also in examining the criminal liability when a crime has been committed by robots.

Purpose-Many educational systems across the world have shifted to online learning methodology as a measure against Covid-19 Pandemic to continue educating students. This phenomenon is causing a lot of complications to the educational system around the world in the context of developing countries, especially to the public state colleges and universities. This paper aims to identify and describe the challenges of online learning from the perspective of Information Technology Education (ITE) students in the public state colleges and universities during the COVID-19 pandemic. Method-It used descriptive research for the conducted of the study wherein survey questionnaires were sent out via electronic survey in different state colleges and universities in the Philippines. The evaluations were calculated using descriptive statistics and Chi-square and responses were compared between their profilesusing a nonparametric test. Results-The findings obtained the demographic profile of the ITE students with the degree of BS Information Technology, BS Computer Science, and BS Information System such courses, year level, and place they live. Additionally, the study gained a significant relationship between student profile in the device used in class, internet connectivity, student type of data connection, capability to attend online class, and their commitment to participate and submit class requirements. The study identifies different interrelated challenges such as the majority of the student only using smartphones in onlinelearning and poor internet connection as they tried to adapt to online learning because they are committed to participating and submitting requirements. Conclusion-The study gives insights into the current condition experienced by the students in the school administrations and officials, and faculty as well to strengthen the appropriate online teaching mode and other practices applicable to the students. It can also useto emphasize to be more responsive to the learning needs of the IT students, especially beyond the conventional classrooms.Recommendations-It is suggested that educational institutions must create appropriate and effective content, and provide digital literacy training to current faculty to improve learning outcomes. Lastly, a strong Information Communication Technology Office that focuses on the development of a different website and mobile application that assist the need of the students and faculty may be established.
