The study aims to determine the relationship between hardiness and psychological well-being, in Bintara candidate’s of Korps Wanita Angkatan Darat (KOWAD) at Pusat Pendidikan KOWAD (Pusdikkowad) Bandung. Pusdikowad conducts educational activities with very strict routines and high discipline. For the education period 2016-2017, followed by 96 participants. Basically, the ability of respondents to persevere with the strength and courage to face this kind of pressing situation will be reflected through commitment, control, and feelings of challenge. The outcome of this hardy personality is the waking of psychological well-being. The two main concepts underlying this research are the hardiness theory of Maddi and Khoshaba (2005) and psychological wellbeing theory of Ryff (1989). The validity of hardiness instrument are between 0.34 - 0.72 with reliability of 0.821, while the validity of the psychological welfare are 0,30 - 0.70 with reliability 0.82. Research with correlation Spearman correlation method by SPSS 24.0 for Windows. The results of statistical tests show the correlation coefficient between hardiness and psychological welfare of 0.755 with significance level 0.00. Results illustrate taht any addition of hardiness strength it will be improve the psychological well-being of respondents.The proposed suggestion is to conduct a similar research but using pre and post-test design in order to get an idea of the hardiness and psychological wellbeing before and after education is implemented.

The psychological wellbeing of the elderly has become an important global health issue. This study investigated the socio-contextual factors moderating some dimensions of psychological well-being (self-acceptance, purpose in life, environmental mastery and autonomy) among 301 selected aged in South Africa. Simple random and purposive sampling techniques were deployed to select the respondents (93 males and 208 females) in Buffalo city, South Africa. A questionnaire pack which included the Ryff Psychological Well-Being Scale (RPWBS) and the Physical Activity Scale for the Elderly (PASE) were utilised. The study found a significant relationship between physical activity and psychological wellbeing of the elderly. However, ethnicity could moderate the relationship between physical activity and the dimensions of psychological wellbeing. Recreational activities, particularly in Black communities, must be improved to encourage participation in physical exercise.

In the last decade,the research on the relationship between self esteem and psychological well - being has increased. The wellbeing that distinguishes between hedonic and eudaimonic ideology is widely used in research and has been empirically supported by experts from different cultures. The results of the study about correlation between self-esteem and psychological wellbeing showed varying results. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between self esteem and psychological wellbeing through a meta-analysis study. The total study used was 24. Meta-analysis was performed based on sampling error. The results of the meta-analysis show generally that between self-esteem and psychological well-being is low. Correlation based on sampling error is 0.269, withi n the 95% confidence interval limit. The limited number of studies in the study may be a weakness. The accuracy of meta-analysis depends on the total sample used

Teenagers are the next generation of the nation who are expected to be potential leaders of the nation. Therefore teenagers need to feel prosperous in order to develop and gain knowledge well. Psychological well-being is an important element that needs to be cultivated in individuals in order to fully strengthen engagement in facing responsibilities and achieving their potential. Psychological well-being is influenced by personality types and spirituality. Knowing the relationship between spirituality and personality types with psychological well-being teenagers in SMP Negeri 1 Banguntapan, Bantul, Yogyakarta. The research design used in this study was a descriptive correlation study with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were teenagers at SMP Negeri 1 Banguntapan, Bantul, Yogyakarta. The sampling technique used was proportional random sampling as many as 70 people. Data analysis using Chi Square statistical test with a significance level of 5%. Nurse spirituality was low category 36 (51%) respondents, extrovert personality type 39 (56%) respondents and low psychological well-being 37 (53%) respondents. There is a significant relationship between spirituality and psychological well-being with a p-value of 0.000 (<0.005). Then the relationship between spirituality and psychological well-being was also significant with a p-value of 0.015 (<0.005).

Present study aims to find the relationship of psychological wellbeing and violent behavior among adolescents in relation to parenting style. In other words this study wants to see the effect of parenting style on psychological wellbeing and violent behavior among adolescent. A single group co-relational design is planned to see the relationship between the variables of the study. 150 urban adolescents between 14 to 20 years from senior school to under graduate level from different part of the world and social economic background were used as the sample of the study. They were assessed by Ryff’s Psychological Well-Being Scale (PWB) to see psychological wellbeing and Parenting Style Inventory II (PSI-II) by Nancy Darling and Teru Toyokawa is used to know their parental style and Adolescent Violent Behaviour Checklist (AVBC) was used based on the feedback from school/college authorities, parents and neighbours to know their violent behaviour. Pearson product moment correlation method and factor analysis are used to find the results. Negative significant high correlation was found between psychological wellbeing and violent behaviour among adolescents. Psychological wellbeing and authoritative parenting were found significantly positively correlated among adolescents. Positive relation and autonomy (psychological wellbeing factors) were the prominent factors and significantly correlated with authoritative parenting style. Conclusion generated from the study was that psychological wellbeing and authoritative parenting effects negatively in developing violent behaviour among adolescents. In other words both help in developing nonviolence behaviour among adolescents in the world.

This study aims to determine the relationship between emotional support and psychological well-being in students. This research method is quantitative with a correlational approach. The variables in this study are emotional support as the independent variable and psychological well-being as the dependent variable. This research was conducted at SMKN 1 Grati with a sample of 333 students who were taken by the sampling method used was probability sampling method with simple random sampling technique. namely the sampling technique by providing equal opportunities for each element. Data analysis was performed by Pearson product moment correlation analysis using SPSS 23 for windows program. The results showed that there was a positive relationship between emotional support and psychological well-being for students at SMKN 1 Grati. The results showed that the correlation coefficient was 0.562 with a significance level of 0.000 <0.05, which means that the hypothesis in this study can be accepted. With an effective contribution of 31.6%, which means that emotional support affects the level of psychological well-being of students.

The study measures the impact of compassion on psychological well-being of employees in educational institute of the southern Punjab, Pakistan with mediating role of gender pay gap. The objective of this study is to find out the relationship of compassion, self-esteem, mindfulness, personal sense of uniqueness and racial socialization with psychological well-being of employee and to find indirect relationship using gender pay gap as mediator. A sample of 400 teachers was utilized to find out results of study through Likert scale. Structural Equation Modelling and Multiple Regression analysis have been applied using Smart PLS3. Results found that compassion, mindfulness and racial socialization have significant impact on psychological wellbeing of employee. Mediation effect of gender pay gap has been identified between compassion, self-esteem, personal sense of uniqueness and racial socialization with psychological well-being. This study contributes well to the existing literature by highlighting the influence of the relationship between gender pay gap and psychological wellbeing. According to the findings of this study, it is important to increase compassion, mindfulness, self-esteem, personal sense of uniqueness to improve the welfare of employees, enable them to better deal with gender pay gap and make them psychological well.

Psychological well-being is an important psychological element that supports individual total functioning. Psychological well-being is influenced by various factors including religiosity, and inversely proportional to psychological illness such as depression, anxiety, and materialism. This study aims to test the hypothesis of the relationship between hubbud dunya and religiosity with psychological well-being in the congregation of pengajian. The sample in this study is the congregation of pengajian by sampling method using purposive sampling. Methods of data collection using 4 scales of research. The psychological well-being scale of Ryff (1995), the scale of religiosity 1 and 2 of Nashori & Wijaya (2016), and the scale of hubbud dunya compiled by researchers based on Imam al-ghazali thought in ihya 'ulumuddin. Data analysis using spearman correlation coefficient test. The results showed there was a positive relationship between religiosity and psychological well-being. The aspects of religiosity that has a positive relationship with psychological well-being is the aspect of worship, morals, and experience. The hypothesis test between hubbud dunya and psychological well-being showed that there was no significant relationship between the two.
