Reflective Learning, Blackboard system, , the , Home Economics Department, Academic achievement The use of technology and communication methods in teaching is inevitable given the rapid spread of various technological applications and the use of the students for them have continuously, while effective ways traditional strategies in teaching fell, and in this context, targeting current research measure the effectiveness of Reflective Learning strategy using Blackboard system and What's up application on Academic achievement and the trend towards the use of the Internet in the education of students' Home Economics Department, Faculty of Education, Prince Sattam bin Abdul-Aziz University, where the sample reached (89) students were selected (44) of them - at random - to represent  the experimental group which studied the courses of teaching methods (2) according to the Reflective Learning strategy and accounted for (45) student control group which studied the traditional way (interactive lecture), and applied to the study of achievement test with the courses tools and the scale toward the direction based education on the Internet, after the statistical treatment of the results of the study researcher found to effectively reflective Learning strategy using Blackboard system and What's up application on achievement test courses teaching methods results (2) for the benefit of the experimental group compared to the traditional teaching using interactive lecture for the control group, also found the presence of elevated denote the trend towards based on internet education for the experimental group versus the control group and that based on the application of the scale (the trend toward education based on internet for good results), the study recommended to the importance of the application of teaching strategies that rely on internet applications and electronic communication programs as well as student-centered strategies.

This study aimed to investigate the efficiency of teaching students on distance learning platforms and its impact on academic achievement. Specifically, it tried to answer the following question: “How to evaluate the impact of doing student’s homework using the distance e-learning process in the computer science course, and access its efficiency in developing academic achievement?” The study was conducted by using experimental methodology. The study samples consisted of 30 students from the ninth grade, at King Abdullah-II School for Excellence in Ajloun, Jordan. The first half of the samples represents the experimental-group that studied using specific teaching strategies and the homework method used the Internet platform for implementation and follow-up. The second half represents the control-group who studied with the same strategies, but used the traditional homework method within the classroom environment and follow-up traditionally. The efficiency evaluation for teaching the two groups was by preparing an achievement test consisted of 25 multiple-choice items. The study showed the following results: The experimental-group students who studied using homework via the internet platform outperformed the control-group students who studied using traditional homework, with a constant factor of 0.97. In light of the result, the researcher recommended a number recommendations: the necessity of using homework via Internet platform, considering individual differences in achievement by distributing duties in terms of ease and difficulty, using a reasonable duties amount so it doesn’t burden students, coordination between teachers of other subjects when assigning students’ homework, and finally recommendations to study other variables such as parents' academic level and teachers strategies of preparing homework.

The aim of the article is to show the extent to which the use of the Internet resources promotes the development of learner autonomy among Polish senior high school learners of English. The data were gathered by means of a questionnaire before and after the treatment and subjected to quantitative and qualitative analysis. It should be noted that the data came from a larger research project in which two groups, experimental and control, received different types of instruction. More precisely, the learners in the experimental group gained access to the Internet and exercised more freedom in learning. On the other hand, the control group students were taught in a traditional way. The results indicate that the experimental learners became more autonomous than their control counterparts.


The purpose of the research was to investigatethe effect of activity-based games on the academic achievement of graduate-level pupils in social sciences.An experimental research design with a pre-and post-test control group was used in this study. As pre-test and post-test, MCQ achievement tests containing 70 items were used as research methods for data collecting. The initial stage in this initiative was to collect data on what inspires children to learn. Both groups took a pre-test, and the results were tallied.The project's second phase was to study the effects of variousactivities on academic achievement. Both groups were given an MCQ performance test. The T-test was used to analyze the data. The findings of this study demonstrated that, compared to the control group, mostpupils'marks improved in the experimental group. The mean value showedthat experimental group participants scored 18.77on the post-test, while control group students scored 16.21. According to a post-lesson poll, most students regarded activity-based games to be more engaging than lecture-based instruction.

The present study intends to examine the effect of dramatization on speaking skills and academic achievement in English among primary students. The sample consisted of 240 fifth class students from four co-educational private schools of district Fazilka. The sample was divided into two groups randomly. One of the two groups was designated as Experimental Group and the other as Control Group. Experimental group was taught through Dramatization and the control group was taught through traditional method. The obtained data was analysed using two way Analysis of Variance. The results revealed that (i) Teaching through dramatization was found effective than traditional method with respect to achievement of students in English and gain scores in speaking skills (ii) Boys outperformed girls in case of achievement gain scores (iii) Girls outperformed boys in case of gain scores of speaking skills.

The aim of this study was to determine whether or not animation applications affect student achievement in science and technology course. For this purpose, effect of constructive approach supported by animations in the instruction of the unit “Living Organisms and Energy” to the 8th grade students on their academic achievement was investigated. This unit was taught to the experimental group using a constructivist approach supported by animations and to the control group using a constructivist approach without animations. For data collection, an achievement was developed and administered to experimental and control groups as pre-tests and post-tests. Collected data was analyzed using t-test and MANOVA. As a result of the research, it was revealed that supporting the constructivist approach with animations was more effective in increasing academic achievement. Abstract:  This study aims to determine the effect of implementing the PQ4R learning strategy on reading comprehension skills of explanatory text. This research was conducted at SMK N 5 Tangerang Regency. The population in this study were all students of SMK N 5 Tangerang Regency. The sample of this study were students of grade 12 TBSM 1 and grade 12 TBSM 2. The approach used in this study was a quantitative approach. This research design uses a control group pretest-posttest design so it requires a control group and an experimental group. The results of this study indicate that the average increase in the application of the PQ4R learning strategy is 25.71 while the average increase in the conventional learning strategy is 15.87. This means that the application of the PQ4R strategy can improve students' reading comprehension skills of explanatory text more effectively when compared to conventional learning strategies at SMK N 5 Tangerang Regency.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan strategi pembelajaran PQ4R terhadap keterampilan membaca pemahaman teks ekplanasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMKN 5 Kabupaten Tangerang. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh Siswa SMKN 5 Kabupaten Tangerang. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 12 TBSM 1 dan kelas 12 TBSM 2. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan desain control group pretest-postest design sehingga memerlukan kelompok kontrol dan kelompok eksperimen. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kenaikan rata-rata penerapan strategi pembelajaran PQ4R adalah 25.71 sedangkan kenaikan rata-rata strategi pembelajaran konvensional sebesar 15.87. Artinya penerapan strategi PQ4R dapat meningkatkan keterampilan membaca pemahaman teks eksplanasi peserta didik lebih efektif jika dibandingkan dengan strategi pembelajaran konvensional di SMK N 5 Kabupaten Tangerang.

Technology can be a powerful tool for transforming learning. To be a successful teacher one should be learner always and should have the mind to comprehend and design new methodologies in their transaction process. ELearning courseware is an effective model of teaching and learning framework that can enhance academic achievement of students. In this research, E-Learning courseware is developed for B.Ed curriculum and the effectiveness of E-Learning courseware is studied on academic achievement of Prospective teachers studying B.Ed course. 80 students studying B.Ed. course are selected as sample by convenient sampling method. 40 of which are assigned in the experimental group and 40 in the control group. Experimental Group is subjected to E-Learning courseware and the Control group is subjected to Conventional method of teaching, Pre-test – Post Test non-equivalent groups design is used for the study. Achievement test developed and validated by the researcher is administered to measure the academic achievement of the prospective teachers as pre-test and post-test. Effectiveness of E-Learning courseware is studied on academic achievement of Prospective teachers studying B.Ed course. In the analysis of data, t-test and descriptive analysis were used. Results showed that there is significant effect of ELearning courseware in enhancing the academic achievement of Prospective Teachers. This research opens new avenues in teaching learning process which can empower students.

This study aimed to investigate the effect of critical reading (CR) practices in science courses on academic achievement, science performance level, and problem-solving skills. The experimental method and factorial design were used. The study was conducted with 102 seventh-grade students from a public school in Turkey during the 2014–2015 academic year. Experimental and control groups were formed. CR practices were followed in the experimental group and teaching practices appropriate to the curriculum were used in the control group. Data were collected with the “Multiple-Choice Academic Achievement Test” to determine the students’ academic level in the “Human and Environment Unit: The Science Performance Level Test” to determine their science performance level and the “Logical Thinking Group Test” to determine the level of their problem-solving skills. The variables of academic achievement and science performance levels were labeled “Academic Performance.” Independent samples two-way ANOVA was applied to analyze the data using SPSS 18.0 software. The results revealed that the students in the experimental group, who were taught science using CR practices, were significantly more successful than the students in the control group, whose teaching was appropriate to the current curriculum in terms of academic achievement, science performance level, and problem-solving skills. It is of critical importance to use such innovative practices, which combine various disciplines, to allow students to excel at reading, which is a basic skill, at all educational levels in order to raise contemporary and social individuals.

This study aimed at investigating the effectiveness of the project-based learning strategy on developing third graders' leadership skills. The research questions were addressed using the experimental approach. The researchers purposively sampled 76 third graders from Al Zaitun Co-ed Elementary C School in Gaza and randomly sampled two classes of third graders. Participants were divided into two equivalent groups, each consisting of 38 students. The project-based learning strategy was used for teaching English to the experimental group, whereas the traditional method was used for the control group. The study tool consisted of an observation card on which the student's leadership skills were rated pre- and post-application. Data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences. Independent samples t-test and effect size were used in the analysis. Results revealed higher mean scores in leadership skills for the experimental group in the post-application observation card. The researchers attributed these findings to the project-based learning strategy and recommend its use in teaching English to develop leadership skills. Further research is needed to investigate the effect of other project-based learning strategies on other grade levels and life skills.

The present study aimed to explore the effectiveness of a proposed program titled (creativity lamp) in improving students’ thinking skills and academic achievement and promoting creativity among them in Kuwait. This program involves several enrichment activities. The experimental group consists from 26 students. The control group consists from 25 students. Those students were randomly selected from a school named Al-Ma’moun Primary School. The proposed program is based on extracurricular activities. The teacher was trained about the way of implementing the program. The program was implemented throughout the semester. Through using the Torrance test of creative thinking-figural, it was found that the proposed program has a statistically significant impact –at the statistical significance of (a=0.001)- on the students’ academic achievement and creativity. The researchers recommend adding enrichment activities to the curricula of primary school students in Kuwait.
