213 Background: Oral mucositis (OM) and dermatitis (RD) are serious side effects of radiotherapy (RT), often leading to its suspension, need for analgesics and enteral/parenteral nutrition. Laser-therapy is becoming a recommended option for mucosal lesions and has also been tested for skin affections. This prospective study investigates the effect of Laser-therapy (HPLT) on RT-induced OM and proposes an off-label use of HPLT to treat RD in breast-cancer patients and in RT-treated anal-carcinoma patients Methods: 53 cancer patients, during/after RT and/or chemotherapy, affected by OM, were treated with HPLT during 4 consecutive days (970nm, 2,5W, 35-6000Hz, 240s). Assessment of OM (WHO-SCALE: Grading objective Scale), pain (VAS: Visual Analogue Scale), functional ability, subjective parameters, site/severity of OM were recorded weekly for 21 days. 27 breast-cancer patients and 2 anal-carcinoma patients affected by RD were treated by HPLT every other day for 2 weeks (970nm/660nm, 2-1000Hz, 6W, 480s) and monitored weekly for one month for grade, discomfort, itching and bleeding. Results: Regarding OM, regressive improvement of WHO- SCALE from day 7 on, and of VAS from day 2 on (p < 0.000) was registered. All patients’ functional capacity improved on day 4 (p < 0.05). All subjective parameters improved on day 14 (p < 0.001) except voice, which improved on day 21 (p < 0.000). Ulcerations’ dimension and erythema’s severity decreased in all sites (p < 0.05). Regarding breast and anal RD, after 6 HPLT’s sessions, complete and progressive resolution of pain, bleeding and itching was registered (p < 0.002). All patients referred maximum satisfaction for receiving HPLT. Conclusions: Regardless of OM grade/site and of kind/site of tumor, HPLT was effective in healing OM. Moreover, HPLT resulted an innovative and highly effective therapy for RD, both in breast and anal lesions. To establish an effective treatment strategy for OM and RD is of paramount importance to improve life-quality of patients but can also be beneficial for the continuation of cancer therapy. Consequently, HPLT may become integral part of everyday-practice in the management of RT adverse effects.

Breast cancer is a health problem since so many years ago especially to women. In 2013, Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) showed that the number of national breast cancer prevalence was the second most numerous patients in the world especially attacked women in Indonesia. The common problems experienced by breast cancers patients is the decrease of life quality of the patients. The purpose of this research was to identify factors related to the life quality of the breast cancers patients in Bandung city. This research used cross sectional method. The determination of life quality based on Quality of Life Cancer Survivor Version (QOL-CSV). Accidental sampling was used to choose samples. This research was taken place in four rumah singgah (shelters) of breast cancer located in Bandung city. There were 30 women involved in this study. Inclusive criterion in this research was the patients of breast cancers who are undergoing medications such as surgery, chemotherapy, or radiotherapy, who are willing to be the respondents voluntary. Result of normality test included age factor, marital age and firts time pregnance. Multivariate test used in this research was the linear regression analysis. Based on the result of bivariate analysis, age factor and frequency of pregnancy had positive correlated (p<0.05) to the life quality of breast cancer patients, while menarche had a negative correlated. Regression linear result was determined to life quality factor (p<0,05) including age factor, marital age and  pathology anatomy result. Half of the result of coefficient correlation showed a strong relationship in the quality of life of breast cancer patients. This Research showed that some of the reproduction factors related to the quality of life. Some factors are contributed to the quality of life of breast cancer patients such as age of the patient, marital age and result of pathology anatomy (cancer stage). This research needs more in-depths studies toward the quality of life of breast cancers patients as well as efforts of intervention to increase the quality of life of breast cancers patients. Keywords: breast cancer, quality of life, reproductive factors

Background: The need of supportive care is a care to be given in order to enhance the life quality of the patients with a serious life-threatening disease such as breast cancer. Generally, the patients are really worried and have severe anxiety related to their disease. The quality of life becomes really important in curing the breast cancer. The life quality is the ability to have normal life in accordance with the individual perception about the objective and hope of the breast cancer patients. Method: Thisis anobservationalresearchwithcross-sectionalstudydesign.Thestudywasconducted in 2019 and required as many as 40 respondents. The samples were selected by using purposive sampling technique. The data were gathered by questionnaire then processed by SPSS and analyzed by statistical test of Chi-square with the significance degree of 95% (α=0,05). Result: The result showed that there was significant correlation between the need of supportive care (p<0,000) and the life quality of the breast cancer patients. Conclusion: There was association of the supportive careandthelifequalityofthebreastcancerpatientswiththevalueofp=0,000<α0.05.

Breast cancer is the second most common cancer in the world and is one of the biggest causes of cancer deaths every year. Measurement of the quality of life in breast cancer patients could improve treatment and become a prognosic factor along with medical parameters for the patients. This study aims to measure the life quality of breast cancer patients and observe how it affects the life quality based on patient characteristics. The study was conducted on 93 breast cancer patients. Data were collected form patients in several breast cancer comunities in Denpasar which were carried outh within 3 months (January – March 2019). This study used a cross sectional design using a snowball sampling technique involving breast cancer patients in several cancer communities in Denpasar. The patient's life quality data was obtained using the EuroQol-5 Dimension-5 Level (EQ-5D-5L) generic instrument and conversion to health utility (utility) used the Indonesian value set. The entire data was analyzed using the independent t-test and multivariate regression. The results showed that pain/discomfort and anxiety/depression were the most dominant problem in breast cancer patients (82,7%). The utility value of breast cancer patients was 0.821±0.123 and the VAS value was 74.41±11.67. There was a significant difference in utility value based on patient characteristics of occupation (p=0.035), symptoms (p=0,003), and cancer stadium (p=0.015). Affected 20.5% of the quality of life of breast cancer patients in Denpasar city.

The fatigue prevalence in breast cancer survivors is high during the endocrine treatment. However, there are few evidence-based interventions to manage this symptom. The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of spore powder ofGanoderma lucidumfor cancer-related fatigue in breast cancer patients undergoing endocrine therapy. Spore powder ofGanoderma lucidumis a kind of Basidiomycete which is a widely used traditional medicine in China. 48 breast cancer patients with cancer-related fatigue undergoing endocrine therapy were randomized into the experimental or control group. FACT-F, HADS, and EORTC QLQ-C30 questionnaires data were collected at baseline and 4 weeks after treatment. The concentrations of TNF-α, IL-6, and liver-kidney functions were measured before and after intervention. The experimental group showed statistically significant improvements in the domains of physical well-being and fatigue subscale after intervention. These patients also reported less anxiety and depression and better quality of life. Immune markers of CRF were significantly lower and no serious adverse effects occurred during the study. This pilot study suggests that spore powder ofGanoderma lucidummay have beneficial effects on cancer-related fatigue and quality of life in breast cancer patients undergoing endocrine therapy without any significant adverse effect.

e13075 Background: The safety, feasibility and benefit of physical activity is robust in adjuvant breast cancer, but as far as we know, there is little information on the feasibility and benefit of exercise in women with advanced breast cancer. The objective of our study is to analyze the feasibility and impact on fatigue, quality of life and functionality of an individualized, prospective and supervised exercise program in a group of patients with metastatic breast cancer. Methods: A prospective study on 30 metastatic breast cancer patients who were recruited as volunteers between February 2018 and April 2019 by Medical Oncologists from the Medical Oncology Unit at University Clinical Hospital Virgen de la Victoria (Malaga, Spain). Participants included in this study were patients aged between 34 and 71 years old and all had metastatic breast cancer, not amenable to curative treatment. The intervention was a twelve-week Therapeutic Exercise and Education Programme delivered by a physiotherapist. The intervention was preceded by a physical assessment of the musculoskeletal system. The outcomes were cancer-related fatigue, quality of life and functional outcomes (patient- reported and other measured by investigators). Results: Of the 30 patients initially recruited, only 11 of them completed the program with an attendance greater or equal to 17 sessions (75% of assistance). Most of patients who dropped (19), did it because of personal matters, not related to disease progression. Regarding patients who completed the completion of physical activity program (n = 11), the majority were treated on first line of treatment with hormonal receptors positive tumors and bone metastasis. After the intervention, no major changes were observed in cancer-related fatigue, quality of life and several patients-reported outcomes, although an improvement in functionality was observed, in investigator-measured parameters (30-STS and adapted burpees). Conclusions: Our study shows that a supervised and individualized tailored physical activity program in metastatic breast cancer patients is safe and feasible, although more studies are needed to analyse its impact on improving functional parameters, fatigue and quality of life.
