Obsessions and Compulsions are integral part of OCD that shares a life time prevalence of around 2%-3%. This disorder causes debilitating effect in patient’s overall psycho-social functioning leading to poor adjustment ability with day to day life situations, which further add-on to the stress level of the individual and increases burden on family and society. This calls for timely management. Literature favors use of CBT intervention in managing symptoms severity in OCD. Present study attempts to look its role on adjustment level of such patients. Pre and post intervention with a control group design were made to conduct this study involving 20 OCD patients. Patients were equally divided in two groups where one group was given intervention with CBT sessions for 10 weeks. Pre and post intervention assessment was done using YBOCS and Bell Adjustment Inventory (Hindi form) and results were compared. Obtained data indicates significant changes in YBOCS and adjustment inventory scores, in the intervene group. Finding reveals that CBT has a role in improving the adjustment level in daily living of OCD patients along with remission of the primary symptoms.

The purpose of this research is to know the influence of biology through constructivistic learning towards the critical thinking ability. This research addresses the role of constructivistic learning (inquiry and cooperative learning strategy) as well as these interactions towards the increase of the critical thinking ability. Quasy experimental research of Pretest-postest nonequivalent control group design with factorial design 2x2x2 were implemented on X grade student of the state SMA in Metro City Lampung. The  research sample consists of 96 students. To examine hypothesis, it is used Ancova technique and continued by LSD test. There was a difference on the critical thinking ability  between students who learn by inquiry level 1 with student who learn by inquiry level 2. and there was not difference on the critical thinking ability  between students who learn by STAD cooperative  with student who learn by TPS. There is no effect of interaction between inquiry with cooperative towards the critical thinking ability. Kata kunci: konstuktivistik, kemampuan berpikir kritis

BACKGROUND: Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a mental disorder characterized by the presence of obsessions and compulsions with lifetime prevalence of around 2%-3%. Increase in symptoms severity often signicantly seen impairment with work, relationships and other responsibilities. Therefore, timely and effective intervention is required. Literature favors cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT) as intervention in the management of symptoms severity. AIM: The present study attempts to see the role of mindfulness based cognitive therapy in reducing symptoms severity in OCD. METHODS AND MATERIALS: Pre- and post- MBCT intervention with a control group design were used to conduct this study involving 34 patients with OCD. Patients were equally distributed in two groups where one group was given intervention Mindfulness based cognitive therapy (MBCT) sessions for 8 weeks. Pre- and post- intervention assessment was done using Yale-Brown Obsessive Compulsive Scale (YBOCS) symptoms severity. And the results were compared. RESULTS: Obtained research data indicates that there is a signicant declined in the composite score on YBOCS symptoms severity at post intervention assessment in the group which had been undergone MBCTas compare to the other group. CONCLUSION: Findings revealed that MBCThas a signicant effect on reducing symptoms severity in patients with OCD.

This study is a pretest-postest experiment control group design having a goal to analyze the role of Previous Mathematical Ability and Reciprocal Teaching in mathematics (RTM) on students’ mathematical reasoning ability (MRA) and self concept in mathematics (SCM). The study involves 66 seventh grade students, a PMA test,  a MRA test, and a SCM scale, and student’s perception on RTM. The study revealed that RTM took better role than PMA on obtaining MRA and SCM. For entirely students and of students with high PMA in both teaching approaches and the grades of MRA and SCM were at high level. Besides that, study found there were no association between MRA and SCM and there were no interaction between PMA and teaching approaches toward RMA and SCM. Like  that, students expressed positive opinion on RTM, even if, student still realized few difficulties in solving MRA,

This paper reports the result of an experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design, which aims to find out the role of generative learning model and student’s basic mathematical knowledge (BMK) in the improvements of students’ mathematization and the correlation between students’ mathematization and mathematical disposition. The subjects of the study included 73 eight grade students of a junior high school. The instrument of this study was a set of mathematical tests adopted from the Indonesian National Examination (UN). The data were analyzed using t-test and non-parametric Mann-Whitney U test. This study finds that the generative learning model had effects on students’ mathematization and basic mathematical knowledge (BMK).

AbstractObjective:To explore whether the improvement in self-awareness induced by a structured intervention programme in patients suffering a brain injury is associated with an enhancement in their functional outcomes.Method:This study uses a pre- and post-test control group design with a sample of 56 patients with acquired brain injury randomly assigned to an experimental and a control group. Pre- and post-intervention measurements were self-awareness (using a previously developed scale) and functional outcome (using the Lawton Instrumental Activities of Daily Living Scale).Results:Patients who received the intervention programme showed a greater improvement in their self-awareness level and functional outcome than patients in the control group. Additionally, the correlation analyses between improvements at both measures showed a relation between improvement in self-awareness and improvement in functional outcome, especially when the pre-treatment self-awareness level was considered.Conclusions:Implementing an intervention programme in self-awareness, in the context of a global rehabilitation process of patients with acquired brain injury, is useful for improving their self-awareness level and the functionality in their daily activities.

Pemberian stimulasi merupakan hal penting yang dibutuhan anak dalam masa pertumbuhan dan perkembangannya. Pemantauan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak yang dilaksanakan secara tepat dan terarah menjamin tumbuh kembang anak lebih optimal yang menjadikan anak berkualitas, cerdas, bertanggung jawab dan berdaya guna bagi nusa dan bangsa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah melihat pengaruh edukasi terhadap pemberian stimulasi pada anak usia 12-24 bulan oleh ibu. Penelitian ini menggunakan quasi eksperimen dengan non-equivalent control group design. Sampel penelitian adalah ibu yang memiliki balita usia 12-24 bulan di Posyandu Desa Tambakrejo dengan jumlah sampel 20 responden untuk masing-masing kelompok intervensi dan kelompok kontrol. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini menggunakan SAP dan booklet untuk panduan pemberian edukasi stimulasi dan kuesioner terstruktur untuk data pemberian stimulasi oleh ibu. Analisis menggunakan uji Independen T-Test. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada perilaku pemberian stimulasi sebelum dan setelah diberikan intervensi edukasi stimulasi pada ibu. Peran kader berpengaruh terhadap pemberian stimulasi oleh ibu kepada anak, sehingga perlu pembinaan untuk kader tentang pemberian stimulasi perkembangan anak yang baik dan terarah melalui pelatihan-pelatihan. Provision of stimulation is an important thing that is needed by children in their growth and development. Monitoring the growth and development of children carried out correctly and directed to ensure the development of children is more optimal that makes children of quality, intelligent, responsible and efficient for the homeland and the nation. The purpose of this study is to look at the effect of education on the provision of stimulation in children aged 12-24 months by mothers. This research method uses quasi-experimental with non-equivalent control group design. The study sample was mothers who have children aged 12-24 months in Posyandu Tambakrejo Village with a sample of 20 respondents for each intervention and control groups. The instruments in this study used SAP, booklet and structured questionnaires. The analysis uses the Independent T-Test. The results of this study stated that there were significant differences in the behavior of stimulation before and after the stimulation education intervention was given to the mother. The role of cadres influences the provision of stimulation by the mother to the child, so there is a need for coaching for cadres about providing stimulation of good and directed through training.

Self Efficacy is a belief that a person will be able to carry out the required behavior in completing a task based on his ability can be felt will lead him to think steady and effective. Self efficacy is derived from the desire within a person in a behavior to achieve the desired goal. If not arising from within the individual then what is not desirable is not achieved. Therefore it is important for students to improve their own low self efficacy. The purpose of this research is to test the influence of group counseling with behavioral approach of modeling technique to improve self efficacy of students of SMK Muhammadiyah 6 Rogojampi class X TKJ. Sample number 20 students who have low self efficacy. This research method uses non equivalent design pretest-posttest control group design.

Kesehatan jiwa masih menjadi problem kesehatan baik di dunia maupun di Indonesia.Keluarga adalah bagian penting dalam proses kesembuhan pasien jiwa. Dukungan keluarga sangat diperlukan oleh penderita gangguan jiwa dalam memotivasi mereka selama perawatan dan pengobatan.Psikoedukasi merupakan salah satu bentuk terapi perawatan kesehatan jiwa keluarga dengan cara pemberian informasi dan edukasi melalui komunikasi yang terapeutik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh psikoedukasi terhadap peningkatan peran keluarga dalam klien gangguan jiwa di Kabupaten Mamuju.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pra eksperimen dengan desain pre - post test without control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah caregiver yang mempunyai anggota keluargagangguan jiwa di wilayah kerja PuskesmasTampapadang. Sampel diperoleh dengan purposive sampling berjumlah 23 keluarga. Data dianalisa menggunakan uji paired t-test untuk mengetahui kemampuan kognitif keluarga sebelum dan sesudah psikoedukasi.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada peningkatan kemampuan kognitif keluarga setelah diberikan psikoedukasi dengan nilai p=0,000. Kesimpulannya psikoedukasi pada keluarga meningkatkan peran keluarga dalam merawat klien gangguan jiwa.   Kata kunci: psikoedukasi, peran keluarga, klien gangguan jiwa PYSCHOEDUCATION ENHANCES FAMILY ROLES IN CARING CLIENTS WITH MENTAL DISORDERS   ABSTRACT Mental health is still a health problem both in the world and in Indonesia. Family is an important part in the healing process of mental patients. Family support is needed by people with mental disorders in motivating them during care and treatment. Psychoeducation is a form of family mental health care therapy by providing information and education through therapeutic communication. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of psychoeducation on increasing the role of families in mental disorders clients in Mamuju Regency. This research is a pre-experimental research with pre-posttest design without control group design. The population in this study was caregivers who have family members with mental disorders in the working area of ​​Tampapadang Community Health Center. Samples were obtained by purposive sampling totaling 23 families. Data were analyzed using paired t-test to determine the cognitive abilities of the family before and after psychoeducation. The results showed there was an increase in family cognitive abilities after being given psychoeducation with a value of p = 0,000. In conclusion, psychoeducation on the family increases the role of the family in caring for clients with mental disorders.   Keywords: psychoeducation, family roles, clients with mental disorders

Introduction: More than 50% dysmenorrhea are caused by excessive amounts of prostaglandin hormone during menstruation.  The combination of dysmenorrhea gymnastics and Qur'an Surah Ar-Rahman relaxation techniques is a new innovation in non-pharmacological therapy to overcome dysmenorrhoea. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of pain differences on respondents who were given dysmenorrhea gymnastics treatment, Al Quran Surah Ar-Rahman recitation, and dysmenorrhea gymnastics combined  with Al Quran Surah Ar-Rahman recitation. Method: The research was conducted from March to May 2015 with quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design. The samples were 62 respondents, divided into 3 groups: 18 respondents in group of dismenorrhea gymnastic, 23 respondents in group of  Al-Qur an Surah Ar-Rahman, and  21 respondents in group of dismenorrhea gymnastic combined with Al Quran Surah Ar-Rahman recitation. Statistical test used wilcoxon and kruskal wallis test with significance level α <0.05.Result: The results showed that the Ar Rahman-based dysmenorrhea gymnastics statistically  proven can reduce menstrual pain more effectively compared with other interventions: menstrual gymnastics only and murrotal only,  with p = 0.001 and the mean rank pre intervention is 31,31, and mean rank post intervention is 19,50. Discussion: Nurses may give non pharmacologic alternative therapies to reduce dysmenorrhea by providing intervention Ar Rahman-based dysmenorrhea gymnastic.Keywords: dysmenorrhea, Ar Rahman, dysmenorrhea gymnastic

ABSTRAK Upaya untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan keperawatan khususnya untuk mendukung peserta didik menjadi perawat profesional memerlukan proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan fasilitas keterampilan klinis. Practice based simulation model didasarkan pada teori belajar konstruktif yang menegaskan bahwa pengetahuan tidak pasif ditransfer dari pendidik kepada peserta didik, tetapi dibangun oleh peserta didik melalui pengolahan pengalaman dan interaksi dengan lingkungan mereka. Dengan metode simulasi di laboratorium dapat mendorong mahasiswa untuk menggunakan critical thinking dalam mengambil keputusan dalam mengatasi masalah tanpa merugikan pasien yang sebenarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh practice based simulation model terhadap critical thinking pada mahasiswa semester VI di FIK Unissula Semarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Quasy – Experiment dengan pendekatan pretest-posttest with control group design. Pengambilan sampel dengan teknik  simple random sampling dengan jumlah 21 responden baik kelompok intervensi maupun kelompok kontrol. Analisis data menggunakan uji Paired T-Test dan Independent Samples T-Test. Hasil penelitian selisih peningkatan critical thinking pada kelompok intervensi sebanyak 11.95 poin dan pada kelompok kontrol 2.05. Practice based simulation model berpengaruh terhadap critical thinking dengan nilai p=0.00<0.05. Disimpulkan bahwa practice based simulation model mempengaruhi critical thinking pada mahasiswa semester VI FIK Unissula Semarang. Kata kunci: Practice based simulation model, critical thinking
