Mathematics is a compulsory subject at school level. The performance of students in mathematics is not satisfactory at secondary school level. Some of the factors that are attributed to the unsatisfactory performance include: anxiety and fear towards the subject by students, ineffective instructional methods, class room climate and learning environment which are not supportive for students’ participation. The purpose of the study was to investigate the effect of cooperative learning strategy in mathematics on students’ performance from positive psychology perspective. In addition to performance this study also sought to find out students perception towards cooperative learning strategy. The sample of the study consisted of 60 students divided in to two groups of 30.In the experimental group cooperative learning strategy was employed while in the controlled group traditional instructional method was used. Scholastic achievement test and Questionnaire on cooperative learning was used to collect the data. Data was analysed by using statistical techniques including “t” test. The study supports the effectiveness of cooperative learning strategy in mathematics education.

An important problem related to instruction in mathematics, as in every other subject field, is that of assessing accurately the aptitude and the achievement of individual pupils and of classes. There is imperative need for a teacher to be informed reliably concerning the ability of his students and concerning their mastery of the content of the subject being taught if he is to adapt his instruction to their varying levels, correct their weaknesses, predict their success in advanced courses, and afford them guidance in accordance with their predispositions, attainments, and functioning interests.

Purpose of the study: The study aimed to find the association between teachers' thinking style profile types (TSPT-I, II, and III) instructional practices (IPs) at the secondary school level in Pakistan. Methodology: The sample of the study was 550 teachers in public sector schools of district Sialkot. Thinking style inventory (TSI-RII) based on a 7-point Likert type scale was used to collect data for the identification of (TS). Frequency distribution and Pearson chi-square were used to analyze the data. Main Findings: The results revealed that the teachers in (TSPT-I) preferred using Concept Accomplishment, Simulations, cooperative Learning, Homework, and Reinforcement, whereas teachers in (TSPT-II)Rich Vocabulary, Lecturing, Daily Assessment, Concept Accomplishment, and teachers in(TSPT-III)Cooperative Learning, Rich Vocabulary, Reinforcement, Simulations, and Daily Assessment as a set of (IPs). Application of the study: This study may help the teacher trainers and school principals to understand the thinking styles of the teachers and their preferences for the certain set of instructional practices to focus the preferences of the teachers according to their thinking style profiles to save time and money. Novelty/Originality of this study: Teacher training programs are conducted on the assumption that all the teachers can be trained uniformly regardless of their preferences for instructional practices. But this study has shown the association between thinking style profiles and set of instructional practices and secondary school level.

Abstract An innovative planning and assessment tool for the subject of Physical Education (PE) on the secondary school level has been created in the course of this research project. Evaluation of the research on the Latvian assessment system in PE has shown the current need for an online based curriculum planning tool (e-planner) which would help teachers to effectively and qualitatively determine the levels of knowledge, skills, personal trait attributes and development dynamics in PE. This finding has served as basis for the hypothesis of the work: creating an e-planner will have a positive influence on the planning and evaluation processes in the subject of Physical Education on secondary level. The author set put to determine the theoretical foundation and the desired content of the E-planner according to the curriculum standard of PE on the secondary level in Latvia and create the planner based on the free Google Forms online platform. Study included the evaluation of teachers’ opinion about using the E-planner for planning and evaluation purposes. The result of this project is the first on-line curriculum planning tool in the Latvian language which is based on the modern theoretical understanding of student-centered planning and the assessment approach in education. Implementing such a tool on a state level across the disciplines would improve the quality of planning and instruction in schools.

The purpose of this study is to evolve a cooperative learning strategy using teaching-learning activities prepared according to Multiple Intelligences Theory and study the impact on scholastic achievement of students. The study has been carried out on 6th grade students who did not show any improvement in an intervention programme especially with respect to scholastic achievement. Data was collected from 16 students of 6th grade by following purposive sampling technique. Data was subjected to statistical analysis by using mean and t- test. The findings indicate that when cooperative learning opportunities are combined in the curriculum by using Multiple Intelligences theory, students’ scholastic achievement in various subjects will be improved. It has been recommended to follow the same teaching-learning approach to improve the scholastic achievement of students at school level.

The problems of this research were how to improve students’ structure mastery by using Numbered Heads Together cooperative learning strategy and how to motivate the students to apply it in English learning. The research type was a classroom action research. The subject consisted of 60 students of the third semester of English Department at University of Indraprasta PGRI in 2015-2016 academic year. The research data were collected by using pre-test and post-test. Data on students’ structure mastery were analysed by using descriptive and statistical analysis, to know the improvement in mean students. The result of cultivation data identified that the average score of post-test was 67.4 and the average score of pre-test was 55.5. It indicated that the score of post-test was higher than pre-test and teaching English language structure by using Numbered Heads Together can improve students’ structure mastery.

Practical Field Experience (PPL) II is a compulsory subject, especially for prospective teachers. Practical Field Experience (PPL) II is a time for teaching students to practice learning knowledge in school partners. The Covid-19 pandemic occurred changed the PPL II system from offline to online. The online PPL system provides new experiences for students, including in determining the learning strategies to use. The purpose of this study to determine the distribution patterns of learning strategies in PPL II  so can saw the learning strategies that are most popular among students and their spatial patterns. This study used questionnaire data that was distributed to 88 students then carried out NNA analysis to determine the spatial pattern and linear regression analysis. Based on the research results, it is known that the popular learning strategy used by students when PPL II is a cooperative learning strategy with a value of 44.318%. The spatial pattern based on the distribution of learning strategies used for cooperative learning, contextual and Problem Based Learning is clustered or clustered. As for the random patterned inquiry learning strategy. There is an influence from the learning strategies used by students on the level of satisfaction of school partners.
