Resin composite is dental material filling that is commonly used in dentistry which has good physical properties, mechanical and aesthetics. The properties that have an important role in the resistance of the composite resin surface hardness which directly involved when contact with food, drink and salivary. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the effect of carbonated soft drink and alcoholic beverages on the surface hardness of nanofiller composite resin.The method used in this research is post test only control group design. Samples were made using the mold made of stainless steel, with diameter of 6mm and tick of 2mm, composite was manipulated according to the manufacture’s instructions, and then immersed in aquades, carbonated soft drink and alcoholic beverages for 18 hours in a temperature of 37ºC. Samples were tested using Vickers Hardness Test. Data analysis using Kruskal-Walis test.The result show that the nanofiller composite resin which immersed in alcoholic beverages has higher surface (81,04±10,44 VHN), whreas the composite which immersed in aquades and carbonated soft drink has the surface hardness (70,20±16,6 dan71,10±15,96 VHN). The result of data analysis showed that the data are not distributed normally and showed a significant value of p>0,05. From this research can be concluded that there is no significant differences in surface hardness of nanofiller composite resin which immersed in carbonated soft drink and alcoholic beverages. The effect of immersion of decoction water of Red Betel Leaf (Piper crocatum) on the surface hardness of composite resin. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of immersion of decoction water of red betel leaf on the surface hardness of composite resin compared to alcoholic mouth rinse. It was a pure experimental study with post-test only with control group design. The total samples were 27 samples divided into 2 treatment groups and 1 control group, each of which consisted of 9 samples. The treatment groups were immersed in the decoction water of red betel leaf and alcoholic mouth rinse. The control group was immersed in aquadest. After the immersion, the samples were measured using Vickers Micro hardness Tester. Analysis with one way anova and post hoc Bonferroni showed a significant difference (p<0.05) on the surface hardness of composite resin after being immersed in decoction water of red betel leaf(79,81±3,76) kg/mm2 and alcoholic mouth rinse (67,11±2,51) kg/mm2. Based on this research, it can be concluded that there was an effect of immersion of decoction water of red betel leaf if compared with alcoholic mouth rinse. The value of surface hardness of composite resin immersed in alcoholic mouth rinse was lower than the decoction water of red betel leaf.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek perendaman dalam rebusan daun sirih merah terhadap kekerasan permukaan resin komposit bila dibandingkan dengan obat kumur beralkohol. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental murni dengan post-test only with control group design. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 27 yang dibagi dalam 2 kelompok perlakuan dan 1 kelompok kontrol dengan masing-masing kelompok sebanyak 9 sampel. Kelompok perlakuan direndam dengan air rebusan daun sirih merah dan obat kumur beralkohol. Kelompok kontrol direndam dengan akuades steril. Setelah itu dilakukan pengukuran menggunakan Vickers Microhardness Tester. Hasil uji One Way Anova dan Post Hoc Bonferroni menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan bermakna nilai kekerasan permukaan resin komposit yang direndam dengan air rebusan daun sirih merah (79,81±3,76) kg/mm2 dan obat kumur beralkohol (67,11±2,51) kg/mm2 dengan nilai kemaknaan (p<0,05). Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa terdapat efek lebih rendah pada perendaman dalam rebusan daun sirih merah terhadap kekerasan permukaan resin komposit bila dibandingkan dengan obat kumur beralkohol. Nilai kekerasan permukaan resin komposit yang direndam obat kumur beralkohol lebih rendah dibandingkan air rebusan daun sirih merah.

Abstract: Composite resin is one of the restorations used in the field of dentistry due to its good esthetic property. To date, the most commonly used composite resin is the hybrid type. Its weakness is the nature of fluid absorbance that can change its color. This discoloration can caused inter alia by food and beverage consumption. Arabica coffee is mostly consumed by our society, however, it has deposit of chlorogenic acid that might cause discoloration. This study was aimed to assess the influence of arabica coffee to the discoloration of hybrid composite resins. This was a true experimental study with a pre test and post test only control group design. Total samples were 24 composite resins of hybrid type (diameter 5 mm and height 2 mm). Each treatment group consisted of 6 samples. The samples were divided into 4 treatment groups, as follows: 0 day, 3 days, 5 days, and 7 days of immersion in arabica coffee solution. The one-way anova test showed that the influence of arabica coffee solution to discoloration of composite resins was significant (p=0.00). Conclusion: There was a significant influence of the duration of immersion in arabica coffee to discoloration of hybrid composite resinsKeywords: resin composite, discoloration, arabica coffee Abstrak: Resin komposit merupakan salah satu bahan restorasi yang sering digunakan di bidang kedokteran gigi karena memiliki nilai estetik yang baik. Saat ini jenis resin komposit yang sering digunakan yaitu resin komposit tipe hybrid. Resin komposit memiliki kekurangan yaitu sifat absorbansi cairan yang dapat menyebabkan perubahan warna. Salah satu penyebab perubahan warna yaitu makanan dan minuman. Kopi arabika merupakan minuman yang sering dikonsumsi oleh masyarakat dan memiliki kandungan asam klorogenik yang dapat memengaruhi perubahan warna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kopi arabika terhadap perubahan warna resin komposit hybrid. Jenis penelitian ialaj eksperimental murni dengan pre test dan post test only control group design. Jumlah sampel penelitian yaitu 24 resin komposit tipe hybrid dengan ukuran diameter 5 mm dan tinggi 2 mm, dibagi dalam tiga kelompok. Masing-masing kelompok perlakuan terdiri dari 6 sampel. Sampel dibagi menjadi 4 kelompok yaitu kelompok perlakuan 0 hari, 3 hari, 5 hari, dan 7 hari perendaman dalam larutan kopi arabika. Hasil analisis data dengan uji one way Anova menunjukkan adanya pengaruh kopi arabika terhadap perubahan warna resin komposit (p=0,00). Simpulan: Terdapat pengaruh bermakna dari lama perendaman dalam kopi arabika terhadap perubahan warna resin komposit hybrid. Kata kunci : resin komposit, perubahan warna, kopi arabika

This purpose of this reseach was to measure the effect of Quantum Teaching model of TANDUR toward creative thinking ability of student. This research was conducted in the class VIII SMPN 3 Madapangga. The population of this study was all students grade VIII, and got two class as sample were VIIIa and VIIIb. Students at VIIIa as experimental and VIIIb as control class. This research was experimental reseach with post test only control group design. This study using purposive sampling. The instrument in this research was test of creative thinking was formed essay test. Data analysis in this study using t-test. From the treatment was obtaimed creative thinking ability with tcalc = 1,71 ≥ ttab = 1,68. This the null Hypotesis (Ho) in push away and alternative Hypotesis (Ha) in acceptance. From data analysis can concluded that Quantum Teaching type TANDUR can increase the creative thinking ability of students at vibration items and wave.

Background: Aplication of composites resin in relatively small amount as a restorative material often causing the material reaches its expiry date before all of the material can be used. Composites resin that have passed the expiry date would affect charateristic of the material. The aim of this study was to investigate surface hardness difference of composite resins based on material expiration date.Methods: This research was an experimental laboratory using post test only with control group design. Samples for this research were 27 divided into 3 groups based on its expiration date (2016, 2018 and 2019). The surface hardness was measured by Shore D Hardness. The result of this research were tested with One Way Anova and Post Hoc test LSD.Result: The lowest surface hardness result was measured on group 1 (81.02SHD) and the highest was group 3 (94.72 SHD). The result of One Way Anova test showed that there was signifcant differences in all groups (p<0.05). Post Hoc LSD test showed difference signifcantly between each groups.Conclusion: It can be concluded that there was signifcant difference of composite resins surface hardness based on material’s expiration date

Abstract: Stroke is a disturbance of acute nerve function caused by blood circulatory disorders to the brain. The impact that often occurs in stroke patients is constipation due to disease complications, drugs and minimum mobilization. Aim of this study to analyze the effect of early mobilization sim right-left to constipation in patients with stroke infarction in ICU Room RSUD dr. H. Mohammad Anwar Sumenep. The design of this research is quasi experiment with non-equivalent control group design. Population in this study were stroke infarct patients treated in ICU Room RSUD dr. H. Moh. Anwar Sumenep in August - September 2016 period as many 20 people, with a sample size of 10 people control group, and 10 treatment groups. Research instruments are Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) of mobilization, checklist and observation sheet. Data analysis using Chi square test with α (0,05). Results of the control group during pre test showed that all respondents (100%) did not defecate and at the time of post test it was found that almost all (80%) of respondents experienced defecation. While the results in the treatment group during pre test found that all respondents (100%) did not defecate and at the time of post test most (70%) of  respondents experienced defecation. The result of data analysis shows that p value = 0,025 with α = 0,05 so that p value <α meaning there is influence of left right SIM mobilization to constipation in patient of stroke infark in ICU Room RSUD dr. H. Moh. Anwar Sumenep. Right-left sim position is an independent nursing action that can reduce constipation in stroke patients unable to mobilize due to bed rest.

Data<br />was analyzed by parametric statistical test One-way ANOVA and LSD (Least Significant<br />Different). There were significant differences between the unpolished composite resin that<br />soaked in carbonated beverages and the other groups (p &lt;0.05). Unpolished resin<br />composite are prone to discolorate compared to the polished resin composite</p>

The objective of the research was to find out whether or not Think-Pair-Share Strategy develops the students’ reading comprehension. The researcher applied quasi-experimental with the form of pre-test and post-test control group design and took the second year students of senior high school as the population. The researcher employed cluster random sampling consists of 60 students. The data were collected through pre-test and post-test in form of reading test. To find out whether or not Think-Pair-Share strategy develops the students’ reading comprehension, the researcher used t-test analysis. The result of the data analysis showed that the value of t-counted (5.747) was greater than the value of the t-table (2.002) at the level of significance (a = 0.05) and the degree of freedom df = 58 which meant that the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H1) was accepted. Based on the result of data analysis, the mean score of students’ post-test (84.44) was greater than the mean score of students’ pre-test (63.11). Based on the finding and discussion, the researcher concludes that Think-Pair-Share strategy is effective and gives positive effect to the students’ reading comprehension achievement.

Background: Caries is a form of tooth decay that is often encountered in daily life. Caries development can be prevented by dental restoration treatments. One such dental restorative material is a bulk fill composite resin with a low shrinkage level. Disinfection is needed to be done before the application of composite restorative materials. The purpose of this research was to know whether there is an microleakage of bulk fill composite resin after application of cavity disinfectionmaterial such as chlorhexidine digluconate 2% and alcohol 70%.Method: This was an experimental research with post test only control group design. The sample of research were 20 premolar teeth. The samples were divided into two groups (10 teeth each group). Group I was applied chlorhexidine digluconate 2% while group II was applied 70% alcohol. Microleakage were measured by observing a methylene blue 2% penetration depth using a metallography microscope.Result: The result indicated the significant differences microleakage of bulkfill composite resin after application of cavity disinfection chlorhexidine digluconate 2% and alcohol 70% from Mann-whitney test 0,039 (<0,05).Conclusion: Microleakage of the bulk fill composite resin was greater in the 70%alcohol than in the chlorhexidine digluconate 2%.

Aluminum is widely used in life but includes non-essential metals toxic to the human body that most accumulates in the femur. Aluminum is toxic because it increases the number of free radicals resulting in oxidative stress that causes osteoblast apoptosis. Tamarindus indica has the most potent antioxidant effect on the seed. The polyphenol content in Tamarindus indica seed are myricetin, procyanidin B2, and caffeic acid. Antioxidants in Tamarindus indica seed have mechanism of donating electrons from the -OH group in the phenolic ring to stop oxidative chain reactions and prevent the formation of hydroxyl radicals and lipid peroxidation that play a role in cell apoptosis. The purpose of this study  to determine the effect of giving Tamarindus indica extract on the total osteoblasts of femur bone in male wistar rats induced by aluminum. This research is a true experimental in vivo with randomized post-test only control group design using 25 male Wistar rats divided into five groups. Aluminum is given orally dose 300mg/kgBB and Tamarindus indica extract dose 25, 50, 100mg/kgBB for 10 weeks. The results of this study indicate the average total of osteoblasts in groups K, P1, P2, P3, P4 are 15.21 ± 1.71; 18.48 ± 3.65; 17.8 ± 7.05; 17.13 ± 1.16; 16.74 ± 5.71. Data analysis used the Kruskal Wallis test. The results of data analysis showed that there was no significant differences in all groups (p = 0.581). Based on the results of this study, Tamarindus indica extract that was given to male wistar rats induced by aluminum for 10 weeks had no effect on the total osteoblasts.
