Cigasong District has fisheries potential like poklahsars. Poklahsar produces rebon shrimp brittle and carp. The development of fisheries potential can be done by diversifying processed fish. The research aims to study (1)changes in knowledge, attitudes, and skills of poklahsar after counseling on diversification of processed fisheries; (2) the process of adopting innovations; (3) the group that adopts the best innovation. Counseling was carried out using a demonstration method of diversification of processed fish. Respondents are members of poklahsar Sehati, Mitra Harapan and Pandawa Opat. Responses were observed using questionnaires, interviews, and observations; the data is displayed descriptively and simple tabulations are diagrams. The results showed; (1) an increase in knowledge, attitudes and skills in the whole poklahsar; (2) the process of adopting innovations in each group is different; (3) the results of the evaluation of the adoption of krispi eel innovation in poklahsar Sehati have the highest value of attitude change that is 10 and the value of knowledge 4, faster to implement than other poklahsar that is on the 5th week by two respondents from seven respondents, the 6th week the number of adopters increased into seven people and included in the early adopter category.

The purpose of this research is to evaluate technically and economical adoption of herbal feed additive innovation for broiler. This research was conducted from August to October 2008, in the broiler farm at Karanganyar, Sragen, and Boyolali by using research based method of descriptive analysis. The respondents of the research were 34 farmers selected by using purposive convenience sampling. Evaluation technical adoption of herbal feed additive innovation, was analyzes base on the respondent’s answer to questionnaire which draw a process adoption of innovation, consist of the first reason of farmer apply innovation, process receiving innovation and the difficulties and in apply innovation. The result of research shows based on technical evaluation result there differences adoption innovation process on adopter category early and late, it is first reason receive innovation where on early adopter category because on broiler production higher (52,94%), while the first reason for late adopter category in receive innovation because to save production cost (47,06%). The result also shows that early adopter category of farmers (58,82%) not found difficulties in apply innovation feed additive, while in late category adopter (52,94%) . Found difficulties in apply innovation feed additive. Base on economic evaluation value, the income of broilers farm without using feed additive herbal at scale > 8.000 broiler Rp 2.392,18 per broiler, scale 3001– 8.000 broilers Rp 1.910,54 per broiler, and the income at scale < 3000 broilers Rp 1.616,59 per broiler. Income of broilers farm with using feed additive herbal base on scale > 8.000 broilers Rp 2.557,19 per broiler, scale 3001- 8000 broilers Rp 1.767,15 per broiler. Purpose The advent of technology has enabled frequent innovations in the digital modes of doing business. While some users are reluctant to adopt one, others have made it their way of life. The purpose of this study is to find out the approximate time frame of a digital user in an emerging economy like India to adopt their favorite digital application. The importance of an individual’s level of internet skills is explored in the aspect of adopting digital innovations. Design/methodology/approach The study follows a quantitative approach where data collected from both primary and secondary sources are analyzed to arrive at the results. In total, 837 responses collected with the help of a structured questionnaire are entered and analyzed using SPSS. Multinomial logistic regression is the statistical tool used in the research. Findings Five sets of adopter categories based on Rogers (1983) are created using an adoption score and are represented in a Time Horizon to understand better. The Unaffected adopter category is used as the reference point to compare the set of internet skills against each of the other five categories. The five sets of categories comprising the internet skills depict interesting results in the case of all the four comparisons made. Social skills are not seen to have any influence on a user being an Innovator or Early Adopter as compared to an Unaffected user. It is also established that Operational and Creative skills play important role in users’ probability of being an innovator, early adopter and early majority compared to being unaffected. Originality/value The study analyzes the role of internet skills in the process of adopting digital innovations. The role of internet skill although is associated with every aspect of the digital revolution taking place all over, its application including the direct score of a digital user’s level of internet skills is not found in the literature.

AbstractBased on new data, we replicate Mahajan et al.’s (1990) paper on adopter categories and Goldenberg et al.’s (2002) paper on saddles and offer explanations and extensions. We use a new dataset to replicate the results, namely, the U.S. Consumer Technology Association’s Sales & Forecasts, which provides longitudinal data on numerous consumer electronic products. Goldenberg, Libai, and Muller utilized the same source for 1999, while we use the updated 2021 report for the adopter category as well as the saddle replication, thus employing the same data source for both studies. We find that in the adoption of consumer electronics, there are fewer saddles, and these saddles are shorter and shallower in 2021 than they were in 1999. Regarding adopter categories, we break the data down by decades and show that, while the early adopter categories just barely decelerated over the six decades of our analysis, the average growth of the new dataset is much faster, with the peak occurring considerably sooner than that of the earlier data.

The aims of this research were to analyze the effect of characteristics of the farmer on the probability of adopter category difference, and to analyze the effect of farmer’s perception of innovation characteristics on the probability of
the difference of adopter innovation of herbal feed additive for broiler. This research was conducted from August to October 2008, in the broiler farm at Karanganyar, Sragen, and Boyolali by using research based method of descriptive
analysis. The respondents of the research were 34 farmers selected by using purposive convenience sampling. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, Mann-Whitney analysis, and logistic binominal regression analysis. The
result of the research showed that there were differences in characteristics of the farmer between early and late adopter categories; they were age (p≤0.01), formal educational level (P≤0.01), cosmopolitness level (P≤0.01), and farming
experience (P≤0.05). The result of logistic binominal regression test showed that age and formal education level were characteristics factor influencing the difference of adopter category significantly (P≤0.05), while the innovation
characteristics consisted of relative advantage, complexity, and observability had significant effect (P≤0.05) on the adopter category difference. The conclusion of the research was that younger farmers, higher formal education level,
longer experience, and higher level of active searching information seemed to have higher probability to become the early adopter. The farmers having higher perception of innovation characteristics, relative advantage and observability, and lower perception of complexity innovation characteristic tended to be early adopter.

(Key words: Adopter category, Adoption, Herbal feed additive)
