The research was done to determine the impact the of social media marketing will have on brand image Tokopedia. The research uses marketing communication theory, social media marketing, and brand image. Tokopedia is an e-commerce that offers a variety of products for its users starting with bill payment, electronics, beauty, automotive, and daily necessities. The approach used for this study is a quantitative approach with a survey method. The population in this study is the user of Tokopedia and the number of samples taken as much as 218 individuals and are using nonprobability sampling techniques with the purposive sampling approach. The data collected in this study is from a questionnaire. Based on the results of the research, it has been obtained that partial, there is an impact that social media marketing has had on the brand image Tokopedia. On the dimension of social media marketing, communication indicators are the highest indicator, and on the brand image dimension, brand benefit and competence indicators are the highest indicator. The relation that happened is only 28,3%. The rest of the 71,7% are affected by other factors outside the social media marketing activity.Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh social media marketing terhadap brand image Tokopedia. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori komunikasi pemasaran, social media marketing, dan brand image. Tokopedia merupakan e-commerce yang menawarkan berbagai macam produk-produk untuk penggunanya dimulai dari pembayaran tagihan, elektronik, kecantikan, otomotif, dan kebutuhan sehari-hari. Pendekatan yang digunakan untuk penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survey. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah pengguna Tokopedia dan jumlah sampel yang diambil sebanyak 218 orang dan menggunakan teknik nonprobability sampling dengan pendekatan purposive sampling. Data yang dikumpulkan dalam penelitian ini dengan menggunakan kuisioner. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka diperoleh hasil bahwa secara parsial, ada pengaruh social media marketing terhadap brand image Tokopedia. Pada dimensi social media marketing, indikator komunikasi merupakan indikator yang tertinggi, dan pada dimensi brand image, indikator brand benefit and competence merupakan indikator tertinggi. Hubungan yang terjadi hanya sebesar 28,3%. Sisanya 71,7% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain diluar kegiatan social media marketing.

Social media offers a social interaction environment where consumers have the opportunity to communicate with brands, exchange ideas with other users, produce content and influence the masses. Brands also create various social media marketing applications by turning these opportunities in their favor. In this study, it was aimed to measure the effect of consumer perception on marketing applications of brands on Instagram pages and their impact on brand loyalty as well as purchase intention. In this context, the research model developed was tested on Beykent University students. Data obtained by the survey method were analyzed using SPSS and Amos package programs. According to research findings, the functional value, hedonic value and self-brand image congruency perceptions towards the Instagram page of the brand in question positively affected the purchase intention, whereas the social value and co-creation perceptions did not have a significant effect on purchase intention. The functional value, social value and self-brand image congruency perceptions towards the Instagram page of the brand in question positively affected brand loyalty, whereas the hedonic value and co-creation value perceptions were found to be unrelated to brand loyalty. Furthermore, it was observed that brand loyalty mediates the whole effect of the functional value and co-creation perceptions towards the Instagram page of the brand in question on purchase intention.


This empirical study aims to explore the relationship between brand engagement and social media marketing among the students of higher education institutions in Chennai city of Tamil Nadu. This research study adopts primary survey method with the help of structured questionnaire collected from 388 students those who uses social media networking sites. The result indicates that Integration, E-WoM, Social Media Advertisement, Social Media Interaction and Brand Attitude are the major factors determining the brand engagement among students. The cluster classification and discriminant functions shows that two groups are significantly form namely, low brand engagement groups and high brand engagement groups in their order of dominance. To conclude, it is necessary to create interaction between the customer and brand and consumer to consumer to identify the impact of communication on brand equity.

This chapter tries to analyse the impact and usage of social media among the postgraduate students of arts in Alagappa University, Karaikudi, under survey method for the study. The study identified the majority (69.79%) of the respondents under female category, and 72.92% of the respondents belong in the age group between 21 and 23 years. It is observed that 32.29% of the respondents use the social media, preferably YouTube. The plurality (48.96%) of the respondents use smartphone/mobiles compare to iPod, desktop, laptop, and others. 35.42% of the respondents' spent between 1 and 5 hours weekly using social media. Further, the study also observes the positive and negative aspects of using social media in postgraduate students of arts disciplines in the university.

The research paper aims to identify significant factors affecting towards the Social Media Marketing which can influence and affect the Brand Image of organizations in the hospitality sector. The identified factors include the following; 1. Positivity, 2. Consistency, 3. Differentiation, 4. Personality, and 5. Engagement Opportunities on Social Media. A framework was developed to highlight the relationship of the factors and their direct influence and impact on the Brand Image. A questionnaire is used to obtain primary data, and the data is analysed using a variety of statistical tools to measure and evaluate the strength of the influence and impact of Social Media Marketing on Brand Image of Hospitality Brands. Assessing the influence and impact of Social Media Marketing on their Brand Image can help organizations in the hospitality industry to evaluate the success of their Social Media Marketing Campaigns, while organizations that are currently not engaged in Social Media Marketing can gain a better understanding on how to utilize Social Media platforms to enhance their Brand Image.

This research examines the relationship between social media marketing activities and purchase intention mediated by trust and brand image to confirm the constructs with practical applicability, specifically in a growing online ride-hailing service company. This study employs a quantitative approach with a causal research design to test the proposed hypotheses to identify interrelationships between each pair of constructs. Data collection was performed through a survey of 350 respondents via an online questionnaire as the primary data source distributed to social media users in Indonesia who had experienced using GO-JEK services. In addition, EFA, CFA, SEM, and bootstrapping methods were run to analyze these research data. Social media marketing, trust, and brand image affect consumers’ purchase intention significantly. Among the five dimensions of social media marketing, the findings show that two dimensions—namely, entertainment and word of mouth, bring the most significant direct effect on purchase intention. Trust and brand image mediate the relationship between social media marketing and purchase intention. This study suggests practical directions for organizations. First, it reveals the social media dimensions that directly encourage purchase intention among consumers. Second, it explains that trust and brand image can amplify each variable’s influence on the purchase intention among consumers. GO-JEK is an example of the online ride-hailing industry that causes the generalizability issue in different business contexts. Based on our findings, there are some practical directions for GO-JEK. First, it reveals the social media marketing dimensions that directly encourage purchase intention among consumers to use GO-JEK. Second, it explains that trust and brand image can amplify the influence of each variable on consumers’ purchase intention. Very few studies investigated social media marketing’s role in a GO-JEK business model in the Indonesian context. This research delivers in-depth insights into the significant factors that affect Indonesian consumers to decide which product they intend to buy through the influence of social media activities.

Purpose First, this study aims to focus on the promotional part of the Indian handicraft products through various social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube. Second, the study measures the effectiveness of social media marketing activities (SMMA) relating to handicraft products on brand awareness, brand image and brand equity. Third, this study also measures the impact of brand awareness and brand image on brand equity and consumers’ purchase intention and further brand equity on consumers’ purchase intention of handicraft products. Design/methodology/approach This study used an offline questionnaire to conduct empirical research and collected and analyzed data of 609 samples by using the structural equation modeling approach. Findings The findings of this study showed that SMMA relating to handicraft products had a very strong impact on creating both brand awareness and brand image in the social media environment. Additionally, this study also exhibited a positive and significant impact of brand awareness and brand image on brand equity and consumers’ purchase intention and further brand equity on consumers’ purchase intention of handicraft products in the social media environment. Practical implications The outcome of this research will definitely motivate the handicraft industry to have a strong social media presence on various platforms for promoting their products across India and outside. Further, the promotional activities in various social media platforms will help in creating awareness about the handicraft products and give brand recognition among other industrial competitive brands which will consequently lead to an increase in the demand for these products. Originality/value The novelty of this study is that it has made an initial attempt to study the marketability of handicraft products using various social media platforms and also has measured the probable impact of SMMA relating to handicraft products on brand awareness and brand image and their impact on brand equity and purchase intention.

The primary aim of this paper is to give a comprehensive overview of social media marketing solutions which can be used by companies. Many authors and researchers dealing with specialised subjects examine certain areas of this topic — and, in particular, with the influence of the social media on marketing communication. An overview of current literature and practical solutions enabled us to create a framework usable in the corporate sphere for creating a social media marketing strategy and for measuring the efficiency of social media activity. The framework helps companies to identify which social media solutions are worth taking advantage of to support their business processes, how they are able to measure the effectiveness of social media and it also provides a basis for the identification of additional research directions.

Peningkatan persaingan bisnis online melalui social media, memberikan kesempatan industri klinik kecantikan untuk memanfaatkan social media marketing agar bisa meningkatkan minat beli konsumen dengan pemilihan bintang iklan atau celebgram yang tepat. Disamping itu, produsen juga harus membuat produk yang inovatif agar merek tersebut memiliki citra positif di benak masyarakat sehingga dapat meningkatkan minat beli pada produk yang ditawarkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh celebgram dan brand image terhadap minat beli produk Erha Clinic. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pengunjung di Erha Clinic Center Surabaya. Metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah non probability sampling dengan teknik purposive sampling. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 90 responden. Sedangkan teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah PLS (Partial Least Square). Dari peneltian ini didapatkan hasil bahwa Celebgram dan brand image berpengaruh positif terhadap minat beli produk Erha Clinic).

AbstractPresented paper contains looks which mainly attempt to analyse the promotion in sport by social media and brand image management on the example of „Connected by football” channel.Research process required usage of diagnostic survey method. Exploration shows that social media has contributed to popularisation and improved the image of the Polish National Football Team. Respondents’ opinions about the formula of the „Connected by football” channel. The reasons and motives for the interest of the „Connected by football” channel are mainly involved with sports activities and the team’s life outside of trainings and matches. Survey shows that half of the respondents changed their mind about the players after watching the video materials and due to this fact the emotional bond between players and supporters increase. The research presents that „Connected by football” channel played a significant role in Polish National Football Team image’s building.

This study aims to determine the effect of electronic word of mouth and brand image on purchasing decisions of Secondate Beauty. The theories discussed in this study are communication theory, electronic word of mouth, brand image, and purchase decisions. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The population of this research is the people of Jakarta who have bought Secondate Beauty products. The sampling technique used was non-probability with a purposive sampling approach, with 140 respondents. The technique of collecting data using a questionnaire. Test the validity of the data using the validity, reliability, and normality test. And to test data processing and analysis using multiple linear regression test, T test, F test, correlation coefficient and coefficient of determination. All of these tests were processed by researchers using IBM SPSS 25 software. This program was used to determine the extent of the influence of electronic word of mouth and brand image on the purchasing decision of Secondate Beauty. The results of this study indicate that Ha is accepted, which means that this means that electronic word of mouth and brand image have a significant effect on purchasing decisions from Secondate Beauty products.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh electronic word of mouth dan brand image terhadap keputusan pembelian Secondate Beauty. Teori yang dibahas di penelitian ini adalah teori komunikasi, electronic word of mouth, brand image, dan keputusan pembelian. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survey. Uji keabsahan data menggunakan uji validitas, reliabilitas, dan normalitas. Dan untuk uji pengolahan dan analisis data menggunakan uji regresi linear berganda, uji T, uji F, koefisen korelasi dan koefisien determinasi. Semua uji ini diolah peneliti dengan menggunakan software IBM SPSS 25. Program ini digunakan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pengaruh electronic word of mouth dan brand image terhadap keputusan pembelian Secondate Beauty. Hasil dari penelitian ini mengindikasikan Ha diterima, yang berarti ini menunjukkan bahwa electronic word of mouth dan brand image berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian dari produk Secondate Beauty.
