Masculinity has the understanding that a man should have a strict, male and rude attitude. A man who has a gentle nature, does not like heavy sports and others will be considered a taboo in society. Masculinity that has changed in society along with the development of the times, this is indicated by the emergence of male beauty vloggers who discuss about beauty, self-care, style of dress and so on. One of them is Tysna Saputra. Through his YouTube channel, Tysna Saputra uploaded a video titled SKIN CARE GUYS at CHILDREN COST! Tysna practices self care steps for men. This, builds men's awareness to be more able to take care of themselves and not feel taboo when doing it. The method used by the author is a qualitative research method, namely by using Van Djik's critical discourse analysis techniques. The method used is online data observation and tracking using data triangulation. The author's observation was to watch Tysna's YouTube video repeatedly and explain each scene and product used. Observations made by the writer will prove that by doing self-care, will not reduce the value of masculinity that exists in a man. This will be related to Van Djik's theory of analysis.Maskulinitas memiliki pengertian bahwa seorang laki-laki sudah seharusnya memiliki sikap yang tegas, jantan dan kasar. Seorang laki-laki yang memiliki sifat lemah lembut, tidak menyukai olahraga berat dan lainnya akan dianggap sebagai hal yang tabu di maskyarakat. Maskulinitas yang telah berubah di masyarakat seiring dengan berkembangnya zaman, hal ini ditunjunkkan dengan bermunculannya para beauty vlogger laki-laki yang membahas mengenai kecantikan, perawatan diri, gaya berpakaian dan sebagainya. Salah satunya adalah Tysna Saputra. Melalui kanal YouTubenya, Tysna Saputra mengunggah video dengan judul SKIN CARE COWOK harga ANAK KOST!. Tysna mempraktekkan langkah – langkah merawat diri untuk laki-laki. Hal ini, membangun awareness kaum laki-laki untuk bisa lebih merawat diri dan tidak merasa tabu saat melakukannya. Metode yang digunakan oleh penulis adalah metode penelitian kualitatif, yaitu dengan memakai teknik analisis wacana kritis Van Djik. Metode yang digunakan adalah observasi dan penulusuran data online menggunakan triangulasi data. Observasi yang penulis lakukan adalah menonton video YouTube Tysna dengan berulang – ulang dan menjelaskan setiap adegan dan produk yang digunakan. Observasi yang dilakukan penulis akan membuktikan bahwa dengan melakukan perawatan diri, tidak akan mengurangi nilai maskulinitas yang ada pada seorang laki-laki. Hal ini akan dikaitkan dengan teori analisis Van Djik.

This research aims to describe the expressive value of grammar in the discourse of corruption in the print media "Fajar" which includes expressive modalities. Expressive modality is a modality that is used to indicate the authority of producing texts with regard to the truth or possible representation of reality. The research method used is a qualitative research method with a critical discourse analysis approach to the Norman Fairclough model. The data source in this study is the discourse on corruption in Fajar's print media, while the data is the expressive modality in the discourse of corruption in the "Fajar" print media. This data was collected using the following techniques: documentation, especially external documentation in the form of news published in the print media "Fajar" from the 1 December 2018 edition to the 28 February 2019 edition which was taken randomly, observed, read, and recorded. The data that has been collected is then analyzed using the critical discourse analysis approach of Norman Fairclough's model by means of description, interpretation, and explanation. From the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that the expressive modalities expressed by the text generators in the discourse on corruption in the printed media "Fajar" include: the modalities of truth which are marked by words or modals still, already, and definitely; the modality of desire expressed through modal can, so, will, and wants, and the modality of necessity expressed through modal must have imperative and directive power to move other people to do something in accordance with what the text generator wants.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan tentang nilai ekspresif gramatika dalam wacana korupsi di media cetak “Fajar” yang meliputi modalitas ekspresif. Modalitas ekspresif adalah modalitas yang digunakan untuk menunjukkan autoritas penghasil teks yang berkenaan dengan kebenaran atau kemungkinan representasi realitas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis wacana kritis model Norman Fairclough. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini yaitu wacana korupsi dalam media cetak Fajar, sedangkan yang menjadi data adalah modalitas ekspresif dalam wacana korupsi dalam media cetak “Fajar”. Data ini dikumpulkan dengan teknik: dokumentasi khususnya dokumentasi eksteren berupa berita-berita yang dimuat dalam media cetak “Fajar” mulai edisi 1 Desember 2018 sampai dengan Edisi 28 Februari 2019 yang diambil secara acak , observasi, baca, dan catat. Data yang telah dikumpulkan kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan pendekatan analisis wacana kritis model Norman Fairclough dengan cara deskripsi, interpretasi, dan eksplanasi. Dari hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa modalitas ekspresif yang dinyatakan oleh  penghasil teks dalam wacana korupsi di media cetak “Fajar” meliputi: modalitas kebenaran yang ditandai dengan kata atau modal masih, sudah, dan pasti; modalitas keinginan yang dinyatakan melalui modal bisa, agar, akan , dan ingin, dan modalitas keharusan yang dinyatakan melalui modal harus yang memiliki kekuatan imperatif dan direktif untuk menggerakkan orang lain melakukan sesuatu sesuai dengan yang diinginkan penghasil teks.

The purpose of this study is to describe the classification of perlocutionary speech acts that can be found in the news text of the Nirina Zubir land mafia case. This methodology uses descriptive qualitative research techniques and text analysis techniques in the data collection process. The author hopes that this study can provide practical and theoretical advantages. Theoretically, this research is expected to contribute knowledge in the realm of pragmatics, especially on the function of perlocutionary speech acts to support the development of pragmatics. Then practically, the author hopes that this research can help readers and the public in understanding the form of perlocutionary speech acts in a news text.

The paper presents Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) as a qualitative research method particularly suitable for the study of media education practices. The contribution highlights how the CDA allows to focus on social functions, identities and power relations mediated by language(s) in educational settings and then it presents an analytical framework widely adopted in social and educational research. Secondly, it exemplifies the application of CDA by presenting a case study on literacy education. Finally, after underlying the convergence between new media literacies and CDA perspectives on the concept of learning, it outlines some possible applications of CDA for the empirical study of media education practices.

This study is a careful study to find out that there is a message of gender inequality in social reality on the Netflix Original Series entitled 13 Reasons Why. The research method that I use here is to use qualitative methods. Research techniques are using Van Djik's critical discourse analysis techniques. Data collection techniques using observation techniques. Observations were made with observations by the author of 13 Reasons Why and watched the series in detail to capture any events related to the topic of analysis. From the observations made by the author, the narration of events and scene footage clearly shows the elements of gender inequality and is also supported by gender theory which is associated with the characteristics of Van Djik's discourse analysis, so that the research conducted has results that strengthen the hypothesis of the author. Penelitian ini penulis teliti bertujuan untuk mengetahui bahwa adanya pesan ketidaksetaraan gender dalam realitas sosial pada Netflix Original Series berjudul 13 Reasons Why. Metode penelitian yang penulis pakai disini adalah dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif. Teknik penelitian memakai teknik analisis wacana kritis Van Dijk. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan yaitu teknik observasi. Observasi dilakukan dengan kegiatan pengamatan yang penulis lakukan terhadap 1 Reasons Why dan menyaksikan serial tersebut secara detail untuk menangkap peristiwa yang terkait dengan topik analisis. Dari hasil pengamatan yang penulis lakukan, narasi peristiwa dan cuplikan adegan memperlihatkan jelas mengenai unsur ketidaksetaraan gender tersebut dan juga didukung oleh teori gender yang dikaitkan dengan karakteristik dari analisis wacana Van Dijk, sehingga penelitian yang dilakukan memiliki hasil yang memperkuat hipotesis dari penulis.

ABSTRACTThis research discussed about the participation of youth in defending the country and its influence to the regional resilience at the Klaten Regency. This research used qualitative research method, object the research was the youth’s participation to defending the country and its implications to the regional resilience. The method of collecting data were interview, observation, literature study, documentation study, and online page search. Data analysis techniques in this study using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results showed that Former Flag Raisers of Indonesia, Klaten Regency had of participate in activity to defending the country in the Klaten Regency. The participation performed by four models activities, namely model of ideological activity, model of social interaction activity, competition between Paskibra, and model of acting activity. It’s participation gave the comprehension about defending the country, awareness about defending the country, and commitment about defending the country. The participation of Youth to defending the country had influences for the regional resilience at the Klaten Regency with criteria that included aspects of ideology, politic, social and cultural, and defense and security. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini membahas tentang partisipasi pemuda dalam kegiatan bela negara dan pengaruhnya terhadap ketahanan wilayah Kabupaten Klaten. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, penelitian ini memfokuskan kajiannya pada partisipasi pemuda dalam kegiatan bela negara dan pengaruhnya terhadap ketahanan wilayah didaerah Klaten, Jawa Tengah. Metode pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan wawancara, observasi, studipustaka, studi dokumentasi, dan penelusuran laman online. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Purna Paskibraka Indonesia telah berpartisipasi secara aktif dalam kegiatan bela negara di Kabupaten Klaten. Partisipasi tersebut dilakukan melalui 4 (empat) model kegiatan yaitu kegiatan yang bersifat ideologis, kegiatan yang bersifat interaksi sosial, kegiatan kejuaraan antar Paskibra, dan kegiatan bersifat aksi. Partisipasi tersebut memberikan pemahaman terhadap nilai-nilai berbangsa dan bernegara yang kemudian memberikan kesadaran terhadap kewajiban bela negara, dan menyatakan komitmennya terhadap bela negara. Partisipasi pemuda dalam kegiatan bela negara ini berpengaruh terhadap ketahanan wilayah Kabupaten Klaten terutama dalam konteks penguatan ideologi, katahanan politik, sosial dan budaya budaya serta memperkokoh aspek pertahanan dan keamanan.

Indonesia can be considered as the most productive country that creates and uses portmanteau. The blending habit is practised in the peoples everyday life, and it covers almost all aspects, from the government programs up until peoples names. Apart from simplification reason, there are some other senses that may come together with the portmanteau, among others: the memorability logic, the handy label concern, and the power it bears. This research was aimed at the usage of portmanteau by Indonesian famous people and the power gained through those names. It uses the blending and neologism theories for the portmanteau formation and Fairclough power representation and Wodak Critical Discourse Analysis theories. A qualitative research method was used in order to understand the problem deeply and thoroughly. The results are that the usage of portmanteau names give some advantages to the bearer including values, respects, and powers.

This study aims to analyze the use of the Whatsapp and Google Meet applications as an effort to optimize the delivery of material in distance learning at SMA N 1 Rembang.The research method used by researchers is descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques using interview techniques, observation, and documentation. The data obtained are in the form of interviews, observations and school documentation. Data analysis techniques using data verification techniques, data reduction and conclusions. To check the degree of truth using source triangulation.Teacher creativity is required to make students comfortable and enjoy the learning process without having to leave home and still follow the learning process. By combining several applications will complement each other so that it becomes the perfect learning. The use of the WhatsApp and Google Meet applications in one lesson will be complete in the distance learning process. Teachers can communicate easily using WhatsApp, can explain material clearly and can monitor students with Google Meet. In addition, teachers can provide attitude assessments automatically. The process of supervision in online learning using Whatsapp and Google Meet can also be done easily.

The purpose of this study was to see the history and procession of the ritual implementation of the one sura ruwatan ritual at Sima Temple and the symbolic meaning of the ruwatan one sura ritual in Sima Temple, Blingoh Village, Donorojo District, Jepara Regency. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research method, sampling is used to capture as much information as possible from various sources using data analysis techniques in this study starting from collecting, sorting, processing and analyzing data using interactive model analysis. The symbolic meaning of the ruwatan ritual in Sima Temple is to refuse reinforcements to rid themselves of danger.

The growing phenomenon of “hijrah” recently has been used by many groups to campaign for various religious issues. However, the campaign contents are often discriminatory through flouring the logic of gender as natural. This study analyses the discourse of contemporary Muslim women's resistance to the marginalisation and domestication on mubadalah.id site. Using a qualitative research method with a media text analysis approach, namely Norman Fairclough's critical discourse analysis, the results of this study indicate that mubadalah.id represents the marginalization of women as a discourse that is contrary to gender equity in Islam. This online media also provides a counter discourse, that men are also responsible for domestic work.

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui proses komunikasi kelompok dalam metode pembelajaran sentra di TK Zaid bin Tsabit. Penelitian ini mendiskusikan tentang proses komunikasi kelompok. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Metode Kualitatif dengan pendekatan Deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan peneliti ada dengan studi pustaka, penelusuran data secara online, wawancara, observasi serta dokumentasi dengan 3 orang informan kunci yaitu guru di TK Zaid bin Tsabit serta 3 informan pendukung yaitu Kepala TK Zaid bin Tsabit dan 2 orang tua murid. Uji keabsahan data dengan peningkatan ketekunan, triangulasi dan diskusi dengan teman sejawat, teknik analisis data menggunakan pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan dan evaluasi.Hasil penelitian ini bahwa Proses komunikasi yang terjadi merupakan komunikasi langsung yang terjadi dua arah dan dilakukan terus menerus untuk membentuk kemandirian anak. Proses komunikasi yang terjadi dalam kelompok metode pembelajaran sentra membentuk kemandirian anak. Proses komunikasi yang dilakukan oleh guru kepada anak dilakukan dengan memberikan arahan-arahan kepada anak serta contoh dari arahan yang telah disampaikan oleh guru.Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini adalah metode pembelajaran sentra membentuk kemandirian anak lewat komunikasi yang dilakukan guru secara terus menerus, karna melalui pembelajaran sentra anak diminta untuk melakukan segala sesuatunya sendiri dalam pengawasan guru. Saran yang diberikan adalah guru harus lebih kreatif dalam memberikan materi pada metode pembelajaran sentra serta bersikap lebih tegas dalam mendidik anak dan melakukan komunikasi yang berkelanjutan dengan orang tua murid. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This study was conducted to determine the process of group communication in the center learning method at TK Zaid bin Tsabit. This study discusses the process of group communication. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The data collection techniques carried out by the researcher were with literature studies, online data searches, interviews, observation and documentation with 3 key informants namely the teacher at TK Zaid bin Tsabit and 3 supporting informants namely TK Head Zaid bin Tsabit and 2 parents. Test the validity of data by increasing perseverance, triangulation and discussion with colleagues, data analysis techniques using data collection, data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions and evaluations.The results of this study that the communication process that occurs is direct communication that occurs in two directions and carried out continuously to form the independence of children. The communication process that occurs in a group of central learning methods shapes children's independence. The process of communication carried out by the teacher to the child is done by giving directions to the child as well as examples of directions that have been delivered by the teacher.The conclusion of this study is that the central learning method shapes children's independence through continuous communication by the teacher, because through central learning children are asked to do everything themselves in the supervision of the teacher. The advice given is that the teacher must be more creative in giving material to the central learning method and be more assertive in educating children and making ongoing communication with parents.
