Picture (image) is a media that used for storing visual data, for example, two-dimensional images are often used to store an incident. Images on the internet media growth very rapidly. There are a lot of image, video, text or other content on the Internet. Image Index and image retrieval again become a topic of research in the last decade in which concentrated on how to get the meaning of an information contained in an image. Three methods outlined in the search for an image, the text-based image retrieval, content-based image retrieval and indexing images in the order of language. This study focuses on the preparation of the features of an image based on color and texture. Features colors using the average value of Hue image, texture features using Gray Level occurance Matrix (GLCM). Color, texture, and shape extraction technique resulted in eighteen (18) feature that can be used as features in the process of Clustering.DOI: 10.24843/MITE.1601.12

Advances in data storage and image acquisition technologies have enabled the creation of large image datasets. Thus, it is necessary to develop appropriate information systems to efficiently manage these datasets. Image classification and retrieval is one of the most important services that must be supported by such systems. The most common approach used is content-based image retrieval (CBIR) systems. This paper presents a new application of rough sets to feature reduction, classification, and retrieval for image databases in the framework of content-based image retrieval systems. The suggested approach combines image texture features with color features to form a powerful discriminating feature vector for each image. Texture features are extracted, represented, and normalized in an attribute vector, followed by a generation of rough set dependency rules from the real value attribute vector. The rough set reduction technique is applied to find all reducts with the minimal subset of attributes associated with a class label for classification.

<p><em>Hoaxes contain false news or non-sourced news. Today, hoaxes are very widely spread through internet media. The development of information technology that has so quickly triggered the spread of hoax information through the internet has become uncontrolled. So we need an intelligent system that can classify hoax news content that is spread through internet media. The hoax classification process can be done through the preprocessing stage then weighting the word and classification using naive bayes. Measurements were made using the 10-ford cross validation method. The results obtained from these measurements, it is known that the value of fold 6 has the highest accuracy, which is equal to 85.28% which is classified as relevant documents as much as 307 and irrelevant as much as 53 or an error rate of 14.72%. While the average value based on hoax news and true news value precision 0.896 and recall 0.853</em></p>

Content-Based Image Retrieval (CBIR) systems retrieve images from the image repository or database in which they are visually similar to the query image. CBIR plays an important role in various fields such as medical diagnosis, crime prevention, web-based searching, and architecture. CBIR consists mainly of two stages: The first is the extraction of features and the second is the matching of similarities. There are several ways to improve the efficiency and performance of CBIR, such as segmentation, relevance feedback, expansion of queries, and fusion-based methods. The literature has suggested several methods for combining and fusing various image descriptors. In general, fusion strategies are typically divided into two groups, namely early and late fusion strategies. Early fusion is the combination of image features from more than one descriptor into a single vector before the similarity computation, while late fusion refers either to the combination of outputs produced by various retrieval systems or to the combination of different rankings of similarity. In this study, a group of color and texture features is proposed to be used for both methods of fusion strategies. Firstly, an early combination of eighteen color features and twelve texture features are combined into a single vector representation and secondly, the late fusion of three of the most common distance measures are used in the late fusion stage. Our experimental results on two common image datasets show that our proposed method has good performance retrieval results compared to the traditional way of using single features descriptor and also has an acceptable retrieval performance compared to some of the state-of-the-art methods. The overall accuracy of our proposed method is 60.6% and 39.07% for Corel-1K and GHIM-10K ‎datasets, respectively.

Developments in technology and the Internet have led to an increase in number of digital images and videos. Thousands of images are added to WWW every day. Content based Image Retrieval (CBIR) system typically consists of a query example image, given by the user as an input, from which low-level image features are extracted. These low level image features are used to find images in the database which are most similar to the query image and ranked according their similarity. This chapter evaluates various CBIR techniques based on fuzzy logic and neural networks and proposes a novel fuzzy approach to classify the colour images based on their content, to pose a query in terms of natural language and fuse the queries based on neural networks for fast and efficient retrieval. A number of experiments were conducted for classification, and retrieval of images on sets of images and promising results were obtained.
