Besoyong is derived from the word soyong which means the spell or prayers, then besoyong means speaking or singing the spell. Besoyong is usually used by Paser tribe as the media to speak to the ancients spirits and Sangiyang through their daily lives. Besoyong has started to be sung in Traditional Festival of Belian Paser Nondoi once a year at Penajam Paser Utara regency, East Kalimantan. This research explains about presentations form of besoyong continue with internal and external incentive factors of besoyong presence in Traditional Festival of Belian Paser Nondoi. This research uses the theory of Alvin Boskoff about internal and external’s factors of social change applied as internal and external incentive factors of besoyong presence in Traditional Festival Belian Paser Nondoi. Besoyong can be presented individually and also with ensemble.  Internal incentive factors of besoyong presence are to elude from evil ghosts, as the mean to invoke clear weather for the festival, as the mean of healing and ast the mean of asking blessing. External incentive factors of besoyong presence are to elevate the district economics & tourism, and to be functioned as the identity of this region.

This study presents a research report on improving students’ Learning results on IPA through Video. The objective was to find out whether students’ learning result improved when they are taught by using Video. It was conducted using classroom action research method. The subject of the study was the Grade IV students of SDN 187/IV Kota Jambi which is located on Jln. Adi Sucipto RT 05 Kecamatan Jambi Selatan, and the number of the students were 21 persons. The instruments used were test. In analyzing the data, the mean of the students’ score for the on fisrt sycle was 65,4 (42,85%) and the mean on cycle two was 68,5 (37,15%) and the mean of the third cycle was 81,4 (100%). Then it can be concluded that the use of video on learning IPA can improve the students’ learning result. It is suggested that teachers should use video as one of the media to improve students’ learning result on IPA.Keywords : IPA, students’ learning result, video

The inherent characteristics of the wind generators growth gearbox were solved, then the reasons which caused the gear transmission system generating dynamic incentive was analyzed, and also internal incentive and external incentive were given to 2MW wind generators gear transmission system quantitatively. On the basis of these, 2MW wind generators growth gearbox system’s vibration response caused under internal incentive and external incentive was solved and analyzed.

Abstract: This introductory essay examines the state of Canadian communications scholarship. It maintains that the dominant stance taken by Canadian communications scholars is rooted in a leftist critique of the media that has become both detached from the media and disengaged from informed strategic action. In the context of a complex media environment, the paper argues for a refocusing on communication itself, an embrace of professional training, and, in the context of technological and social change, a research strategy based on research and development. Résumé: Cet article d'introduction examine l'état de la recherche en communication au Canada. Il soutient que le parti-pris prédominant de chercheurs canadiens en communication se fonde sur une critique gauchiste des médias qui au fil du temps s'est détachée à la fois des médias et d'actions stratégiques averties. Tenant compte de la complexité de l'environnement médiatique actuel, cet article appuie un retour à des approches portant sur la communication elle-même, une mise en valeur de l'entraînement professionnel et, dans le contexte de changements technologiques et sociaux, une stratégie de recherche fondée sur recherche et développement.

Chapter Six provides an extended examination of the newspaper reporting of the treason trial of Obafemi Awolowo, the second major treason trial after independence. How the Nigerian press covered the trial illuminates the ways in which legal process as a mode of nation formation was woven into the daily lives of newspaper readers. Moreover, attending to that press coverage illustrates the importance of narrative and literary form in the process of national self-construction. The chapter begins by outlining the relationship of politics and the press in Nigeria before looking at the defining features of the trial itself. The chapter examines how the trial was presented in the press and the readerly engagement that the press sought to foster. The chapter concludes by reflecting on the larger significance of the trial and its coverage in the media at the dawn of Nigeria’s first Republic.

In this chapter, I explore the media coverage of the Arab Spring and the reactions of Western media communities. Focusing on interactive documentaries and websites, this chapter clearly demonstrates to what extent media bring about individualized coverage to major events. Digital media especially have merged with cartographic competencies to provide topical information. Compared to the informational range of classic print media and television, these digital platforms and digitally distributed art forms create new and interactive forms of media participation.

This chapter presents that fact that, in Britain, most of the information that people receive about crime is second-hand. As relatively few people are victims of serious crime, the offending images that are formed in the minds of the majority largely come from reports and discussions in the mass media. Indeed, with growing urbanisation, it is increasingly necessary to rely on the media to find out what has been happening in one’s own neighbourhood. The chapter considers whether the mass media’s reporting of crime has a significant impact on people’s daily lives and their attitudes to ‘law and order’ issues. There is also a body of research evidence suggesting that media portrayals of violent crime may inspire some people to engage in ‘copycat’ incidents.

A significant body of literature examines the under-representation of people with disability in the media. In news and fictional portrayals, people with disability are often defined by disability first, their personhood second, perpetuating stereotypes of people with disability as different. Activists attempt to change how media portray people with disability. Less well-considered are the challenges of media participation. This article argues that the presence of people with disability in the spaces that comprise media institutions is also a necessary condition for social change, not just improved representation and participation. However, even in Australian community broadcasting, a sector founded in a normative policy commitment to democratising media participation, people with disability encounter a range of barriers to accessing the resources and spaces of community broadcasting. The Australian case study reported here supports broad consideration of how listening to the views of community broadcasting participants with disability contributes to improving their media presence.

One of the most notable changes in the forty years since I left Cambridge at the end of my Law Tripos has been the growth in importance of a number of legal subjects previously either totally unknown, known but disregarded, or of interest only to an enthusiastic minority. Competition law certainly fell into one of these categories, not then being taught as a separate subject or even perhaps referred to by any lecturer, except on occasion in the context of “contracts in restraint of trade”. But now the subject has truly come of age and, like some other important commercial law topics which have deservedly earned a place within the regular syllabus of the L.L.M, finds itself referred to constantly not only in academic and professional literature but in the media. Its influence on our daily lives as citizens and consumers means that it is often the subject of headline reports (not always accurate) quite apart from its economic and political significance in the regional, national, European and world context. For example, to mention only one or two current issues, we have had the court case brought by the Office of Fair Trading against the Premier League challenging its collective sale to BSkyB of the television rights to Premier League football matches, and, major changes proposed in the UK defence industries as a result of the proposed acquisition by British Aerospace of the GEC defence businesses.
