Abstract Though there are a number of data and studies about the impact of tax incentives on investment, research and development, no detailed and systematic analysis has been elaborated on the effectiveness of taxation of profit to the financial performance of businesses in general. Businesses avoid corporate income tax to get more net profit. Evasion leads to economic stagnation. It is time to call for changes of the corporate income tax system and introduce tax suspension - tax only shared profit. The aim of the research is to assess the impact of corporate income tax suspension on retained corporate income. The research extends applicable theoretical foundation and comprehension of elements and factors affecting firms’ behaviour. The results show that the corporate income tax reform would change capital structure of businesses and improve company’s sustainability. The findings also give grounds for the development of an applicable model that would help government authorities choose the most effective way of taxation of corporate income.

Corporate income tax (CIT) is a fundamental tool of the fiscal system due to its sensitivity to economic cycles and the impact it can have on the economic decisions of enterprises. Although the justification of corporate income tax has been called into question in the current academic literature, it is one of the tax forms that can be used to stabilize and develop the economy, especially after the crisis. For this reason, this paper provides an analysis of corporate income tax in Serbia. The paper will focus on reduced CIT rates and tax incentives. Our work aims to contribute to the literature in two aspects. The first is to provide evidence that it is necessary to carry out parametric reform of corporate income tax. Another is providing additional literature on the COVID-19 crisis to form the basis for further economic research.

Using the data from twenty-two partner countries in 1999 to 2018, this paper presents the impact of tax incentives on foreign direct investment (FDI) in Indonesia. A fixed-effect and least square dummy variable analysis are used to determine the direction and significance of tax incentives in its correlation with FDI together with other FDI determinant. The main finding shows that as tax incentives increase, the FDI flow decrease significantly. However, corporate income tax (CIT) rate which also used as investment cost proxy shows that as it decreases the FDI flow will increase.

The paper discusses the impact of tax optimization in the area of corporate income tax on the picture of the company's financial position. The purpose of the article is to answer the question whether the introduction of a preferential, reduced rate of corporate income tax for small taxpayers affected the dynamics of revenues from sales and financial results presented by enterprises. The study used the histogram analysis method and U Mann-Whitney's non-parametric test for independent trials. The article confirmed the thesis that the application of a preferential tax rate with a simultaneous rigid revenue criterion resulted in a reduction in the dynamics of sales revenues in the research sample entities. At the same time, it was proved that despite the decrease in sales revenue, the net profit of entities using the preferential rate was improved. The original contribution of the work is the application of the original research methodology.

However, many studies gave dissimilar results, which indicates there might be differences in nature of the relationship, or factors affiliation in enterprises of different sectors or different countries. This study aims to determine the effect of factors on the financial performance of companies listed on the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) from 2013-2017. On the other hand, there is a significant positive relationship between liquidity and financial performance. But, the relationship between ROA with the firm age is not significant. On December 22, 2017, President Donald Trump signed the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA), the most sweeping revision of US tax law since the Tax Reform Act of 1986. The law introduced many significant changes. However, perhaps none was as important as the changes in the treatment of traditional “C” corporations—those corporations subject to a separate corporate income tax. Beginning in 2018, the federal corporate tax rate fell from 35 percent to 21 percent, some investment qualified for immediate deduction as an expense, and multinational corporations faced a substantially modified treatment of their activities. This paper seeks to evaluate the impact of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act to understand its effects on resource allocation and distribution. It compares US corporate tax rates to other countries before the 2017 tax law, and describes ways in which the US corporate sector has evolved that are especially relevant to tax policy. The discussion then turns the main changes of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 for the corporate income tax. A range of estimates suggests that the law is likely to contribute to increased US capital investment and, through that, an increase in US wages. The magnitude of these increases is extremely difficult to predict. Indeed, the public debate about the benefits of the new corporate tax provisions enacted (and the alternatives not adopted) has highlighted the limitations of standard approaches in distributional analysis to assigning corporate tax burdens.

XYZ by doing alternative calculation of Income TaxArticle 21. From the results of the research showed that PT. Wherethe company provides a tax allowance whose value is the same as Income Tax Article 21 which willbe deducted from each employee. These tax benefits can be charged to commercial and fiscal financialstatements. So when a company makes a fiscal correction, the tax allowance can reduce the company'sfiscal profit and the company's corporate income tax value will be smaller.   Keywords: Tax planning, Income tax Article 21 income tax, gross up method. Kata kunci: Perencanaan pajak, Pajak penghasilan Pasal 21, Metode gross up.

Legislation governing personal income taxation is often subject to changes. A significant personal income tax reform was carried out in the Czech Republic in 2021. The reform implements a progressive tax rate, changes the way the tax base is determined, and increases the tax relief for the taxpayer. The aim of the article is to evaluate the impact of the personal income tax reform on the effective tax rate and tax progressivity. To that end, methods of regression analysis have been used. The source of information for analysis was the data published by the Czech Statistical Office. It was found that in 2021, in comparison with 2020, the tax burden represented in this study by the effective tax rate, in all cases became lower, approximately by 5%. The main reason for this decline is the adjustment of the method of construction of the tax base, which, for the first time in the history of the Income Tax Act, is gross wages. Until the end of 2020, the tax base was a super-gross wage, or the gross wage increased by social security contribution borne by the employer at his costs. The second factor that reduces the tax burden is a CZK 3,000 increase in the deduction per taxpayer per year. This fact increases the degree of tax progressivity, as confirmed by the results of the progressivity analysis and the regression analysis. The changes that have taken place in the personal income tax this year have a positive impact on the taxpayer, but from the point of view of the state, this reform has reduced the state budget revenues.

The research method used in this research is a qualitative method. The purpose of this research is descriptive. Data collection techniques that have been collected, were analysed using qualitative data analysis techniques. The result of this research is to know the impact of government incentives for workers who have met the qualifications of the incentive recipients and to know how the scheme is in fulfilling this PPh 21 incentive.
