The article discusses the aspect of the demand, satisfaction and consumption of energy raw material which is natural gas in liquefied form in Poland. In the first part of the work the gas market was recycled referring to the national economy. Subsequently, energy carriers used in Poland are described and factors determining the use of this raw material are presented. The energy needs of the country with respect to the gas market were further defined.

From record high prices, a decade ago, to record low prices more recently, Australia’s west coast gas market is heading towards a structural shakeup that will challenge the status quo for producers, buyers and policymakers. The Western Australian (WA) gas market has been soft recently but is poorly understood, and prices may materially tighten this decade in wake of uncertain new supply timing, liquefied natural gas (LNG) producer recalcitrance towards domestic market, lack of new discoveries (outside Perth Basin), upward pressure on US gas pricing and government policy flexibility towards the emergence of LNG ullage. We believe a bifurcated WA gas market could emerge, whereby policy targets cheap gas to underpin new manufacturing, while existing gas buyers are left to compete against much higher LNG netback parity pricing.

With the recent rising attention and debates on the role of natural gas, especially liquid natural gas, in energy transition, it is critical to have a consistent approach in assessing uncertainties and dynamics in the global gas market during the next two to three decades. There are two objectives of this paper. The first one is to estimate and discuss the impacts of the global liquified natural gas (LNG) trade under a low-carbon scenario using a partial equilibrium model. The second objective is to discuss the role of a structural economic model in empirical analysis and strategy design under a regime shift, such as an energy transition, for the global natural gas market.

According to the Energy Strategy of the Russian Federation until 2035, the indicator of solution of the task of a flexible response to the world gas market dynamics is retaining by the Russian Federation of the dominant position of top three world gas exporters. Russian exporting companies are interested in trading in natural gas in European exchanges, as exchange trade in natural gas gives an opportunity to diversify the existing natural gas export mechanisms, gain access to highly liquid natural gas sales channels. At present, there is little legal research dedicated to challenging aspects of the legal regulation of exchange trade in energy resources, access of exporting companies to foreign exchanges. There are gaps and discrepancies in the existing legal regulation of this sector. The author reviews peculiarities of the legal regulation of relationships arising in trade in natural gas in European exchanges, the requirements set for exchange participants, the existing restrictions of these operations for Russian exporting companies, brings forward legal regulation development proposals.

Portugal has strongly limited domestic energy resources, since imports almost 90% of its energy needs and its energy production is totally from renewable energy sources. The addition of natural gas to the Portuguese energy mix in 1997 helped to diversify Portugal’s energy sources and is a contribution to the mitigation of environmental problems. In 1997 also ceased the production and use of domestic coal. In fact, Portugal is working to reduce the growth in energy use and CO2 emissions, in order to follow the Kyoto Protocol. This measure can be linked to environmental sustainability policies, creating the opportunity for new business to appear. Natural gas, in some applications, can substitute the electricity, implying a decrease in price. Security of gas supply is an important issue, since Portugal depends mainly on a single supplier. This paper aims at analysing the emerging gas market, (threats and opportunities), its evolution andcomparison with other OECD countries.

Every year, the liquefied natural gas market is rapidly developing and entering new markets. Russian LNG is not only sold on the foreign market, but also prevails on the domestic market. The country has one of the world's largest LNG production plants. Russia is striving to develop this direction, planning to take one of the leading positions among the countries producing liquefied natural gas.

Because of the almost-instant connection with the welfare and well-being of individuals, pharmaceutical industry stands prominently as a very important factor for the improvement and progress of a healthy productive nation. These days, pharmaceutical industry thrives as one of the largest and exponentially expanding global industries. Nonetheless, millions of people in low income developing countries, have to suffer from the fatal consequences of the inaccessibility and non-availability of essential drugs. This is also happening in Yemen, where the pharmaceutical manufacturers sector have to face up to many challenges. The Yemen Drug Company (YEDCO) was founded in 1964 by the Yemeni government as it collaborated with private investors. It was endorsed as a company with the expertise in the medicinal drug marketing. YEDCO started its work by taking in drugs from foreign companies and then locally marketing and distributing them. In 1982, YEDCO built the first medicinal factory for drugs in Sana’a. Since then, seven companies were set up to manufacture medicines in Yemen. The expanding population has led to the need to have more pharmaceutical products. It may be understandable that pharmaceutical manufacturer companies are also hit by the political crisis in the country. Inadequate amount of fuel and raw material as well as low security status were some of the underlying factors behind these ill-effects in Yemen. Imported drugs make up about nearly 90% % of the pharmaceutical market compared to 10% drugs from the domestic market. This situation has led to an additional burden being shouldered by the national economy, where Yemen spends about US$263 million annually on pharmaceutical drugs, in reference to the national Supreme Drugs Authority. Although there is a very quick growth in the population and drugs consumption, the pharmaceutical industry has not been very active, where global pharmaceutical products play their role dominantly on the domestic market. The pharmaceutical production necessitates skilled human resources like university graduates. By contrast, the government and the private sector should also motivate the pharmaceutical industry and make use of the local employment
