Program of training course conducted at the Faculty of Transport of the Silesian University of Technology has been presented in this paper. The courses have been intended for students who want to be better prepared to take up an employment. Some trainings are carried out together with employers. Problems in the implementation of training course and prospect of their further development have been presented.

The ICRC organized its first “ training course for delegates ” in Geneva from 11 to 14 May.The theory lessons (humanitarian law, Geneva Conventions) and practical lessons (delegates' activities on mission), which were introduced by various ICRC collaborators, the Swiss Red Cross and medical experts, were prepared in close collaboration with the Henry Dunant Institute. During the seminar, Professor O. Reverdin gave a lecture on the subject “ Switzerland and the concept of neutrality ”.

Purpose This paper aims to examine the current state of education for sustainable development (ESD) at Chemnitz University of Technology (CUT) and to propose a guide for analysing sustainability at higher education institutions (HEI) in terms of implementation of the sustainable development goals (SDGs) and sustainability dimensions in the cognitive domain of education. Design/methodology/approach This paper uses a new combination of two frameworks, the “Phase Model of Sustainability in MBA (Master of Business Administration) Education”, developed by Hart et al. (2017), to classify sustainability-focused topics and United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization’s (UNESCO’s) learning objectives for ESD (UNESCO, 2017) to classify sustainability-related topics. This paper analysed CUT’s study programs and faculties, the websites of the study programs and the (junior) professorships, using documentary analysis with a new set of keywords relating to the topic of incorporating sustainability in curricula. Findings The faculties and study programs of CUT are at different stages of integrating ESD. However, topics such as sustainable energy and production, recycling, sustainable management and innovation are prominent in the educational offerings of CUT. As the university is a technical university, the focus on these topics reflects the general direction of the organisation. Based on this study results, this study gives recommendations for further development for ESD at CUT. Originality/value This paper presents the case of CUT and a new guide for analysing sustainability at HEI, including recommendations for further development in relation to ESD.

The transition of a city to the «Smart city» level is a socio-technical process: first, the transi-tion includes technical and technological changes, and second, since the city is a social system, this process considered from the point of view of users who influence the development of certain types of services and devices for their provision. This article examines the process of digitalization of the city and transport infrastructure in particular. To fulfill the goal set for the transport infrastructure - complete, timely and high-quality transport services for the population, it is necessary to solve a whole range of tasks that are associated with the further development of market relations and improving the efficiency of the transport complex.

Consistent evaluation is an important prerequisite for quality assurance and continuous further development in the area of DaF/DaZ. With a focus on virtual learning, this volume deals with the evaluation of the Inverted Classroom Model for the training of teachers of German as a foreign language and specifically with language learning apps. A second focus is on the evaluation of exams and tests. In addition to the medical language examination and the qualification tests of future teachers, the focus here is on examiner qualifications. The critical discussion will present suggestions for solutions as well as new research approaches. This volume does justice to the claim that theory and practice are closely intertwined. Christina Maria Ersch studied German and Scandinavian Studies in Göttingen and German as a foreign language in Mainz, where she is a research assistant. She has been teaching German as a foreign language for several years, is a certified telc examiner and conducts advanced training courses in neurodidactics and action-oriented learning. Her research interests are, among other things, in general didactics with a focus on competence-oriented, digital learning and in intercultural communication.

As important test equipment to carry out full-scale structure testing and components failure mechanisms research, super structural testing machines have developed rapidly all over the world in recent years. The authors of this paper investigated, compared and analyzed the construction and the development trends of super structural testing machines in China. The test functions, the test space, the maximum tonnage and other technical indexes of super structural testing machines, which have been built in China, were described. The functions and the typical tests of a multi-functional structure test loading system (40,000 kN) installed in the Beijing University of Technology were also discussed. The vibrations caused by the failure of brittle test pieces on this super structural testing machine were analyzed, and some suggestions to reduce the vibrations were given. It would be valuable for further development and the improvement of other super structural testing machines.

The current situation in the world economy is characterized by varying degrees of development of national economies and their openness to participate in international economic relations, the saturation of trade flows at different stages of cooperation between countries, increasing passenger flows, on the one hand, and insufficient economic development. base, a small number of modern studies of the methodological basis for the functioning of the transport and logistics complex in modern science, on the other hand, cause an objective need for mentioned places, the role and importance of transport services as an important economic category. The structural shifts that determine the movement of world production and international trade are largely determined by the transformations taking place in the world transport complex. No foreign trade operation can be imagined without the participation of transport, in any case, the goods must be delivered from seller to buyer. Transport service - a service for the performance of the contract of carriage of people and goods. In the implementation of foreign trade, road transport has certain advantages over other modes of transport: maneuverability, delivery of goods "door to door"; urgency and regularity of delivery; delivery can be organized according to the system "just in time" (exactly on time); packaging (required in smaller quantities or not required at all). This article examines the trends and prospects for the development of the international market of transport services. The question of the current state of the freight market is stated. The main problems of the international market of transport services are clarified. The factors influencing the further development of the market of transport services are determined. Substantiated tasks in the field of international agreements in the field of road transport. The study allows us to consider and analyze important areas of innovative development and application of modern technologies in the field of transport. Prospects for further development of freight transportation are considered and generalized.

The current stage of development of learning management systems is associated with use of opportunities provided by global computer networks and technological standards developed in distance education. It offers structuring of educational material in electronic course and approach to navigation modeling, which are consistent with international specifications of e-learning SCORM and IMS, adding to them specific adaptive algorithms for navigating through training courses based on use of the model of integral evaluation of student's knowledge. In this chapter professor Irina Sidorkina (Volga State University of Technology) and professor Vardan Mkrttchian (HHH University) using the results previously obtained for the implementation of Computer - Aided Design as Carrier of Set Development Changes System in E-Course Engineering. Dr. Alexey Rybakov (Omega-R Inc.) was a designing a software on the subject of this chapter.

Introduction: The objective of the study was to evaluate the benefits perceived by the use of cadaver models by IAMSurgery attendees and to define indications to standardize future similar training camps. Materials and methods: A 25-item survey was distributed via e-mail to all the participants of previous training courses named as “Urological Advanced Course on Laparoscopic Cadaver Lab" held at the anatomy department of the University of Malta, for anonymous reply. Participants were asked to rate the training course, the Thiel’s cadaveric model, and make comparison with other previously experienced simulation tools. Results: The survey link was sent to 84 attendees, with a response rate of 47.6% (40 replies). There was improvement in the median self-rating of the laparoscopic skills before and after the training camp with a mean difference of 0.55/5 points in the post-training skills compared to the basal (p < 0.0001). The 72.2% of the urologists interviewed considered Thiel's HCM better than other training methods previously tried, while five urologists (27.8%) considered it equal (p = 0.00077). Globally, 77.5% (31) of attendees found the training course useful, and 82.5% (33) would advise it to colleagues. Conclusions: Thiel’s fixed human cadaveric models seem to be ideal for training purposes, and their use within properly structured training camps could significantly improve the surgical skills of the trainees. An important future step could be standardization of the training courses using cadavers, and their introduction into the standardized European curriculum.

There is a consensus that employability isn’t only gathering degrees and other qualifications but rather is a set of various factors such as possessing the right transferable skills, the knowledge of job market, the combination of personal attributes, the ongoing training, self presentation skills, networking and ego drive to navigate yourself effectively in a continuous changing world of work. On the other hand, there is an opinion in general that graduates have a remarkable problem to enter the job market for the first time. They don’t know how to search effectively for new job positions, how to present their skills and abilities towards the recruiters or employers and have no idea how to react in the interview process. Finally, employee candidates after graduation need help and consultancy to enter the job market.This study aims to search the role of training courses in enhancing candidates’ employability outcomes according to their opinion. For this purpose, an empirical research has been conducted in order to explore the view of the candidates’ about the importance of relative courses to enhance their employability. In particular we asked two hundreds and thirteen post graduates students in Greece about their opinion of the usefulness in participating and attaint such courses. Furthermore, combined we asked them how much they agree with particular statements that employability is more than having someone qualifications.Results show that employability training courses could contribute effectively in employability outcomes .Also participants agree to the statements that to be someone employable depends not only on their qualifications but also on other factors such as the effectiveness of utilizing job search methods, self promotion skills, networking etc.
