The article discusses problems related to the operation of electric cars. Currently, there is a transition period between the use of internal combustion engines and purely electric drives. The biggest problem is the storage of electricity and access to the battery charging station.

Object of research: the process of movement of cars with internal combustion engines or the electric drive on a road curve. Investigation problem: assessment of the stability of cars with internal combustion engines or electric drive on a road curve and determination of conditions of its ensuring. The main scientific result. The article evaluated the stability of cars with internal combustion engines or electric drive on a road curve and determines the conditions of its ensuring using an algorithm that combines mathematical models of car movement on a road curve, synthesized based on balance equations of both kinematics and dynamics. The proposed models consider the change in speed of cars while driving on a road curve, and therefore belong to the class of differential equations. The analysis of these models allows calculating changes in time of values of limiting and critical speeds of movement of the car on a road curve. The article identifies the prospects of integration into this set of mathematical models another one, synthesized in the space of linguistic variables that characterize the uncertainty of the road surface and the degree of tire wear on different wheels of the car. The area of practical application of the research results: Automotive enterprises specializing in equipping cars with traffic control systems. Innovative technological product: A method of determining the limiting parameters of movement of the car on road curves, at which the car does not overturn while passing turns, and an algorithm for its implementation, which combines kinematic and dynamic mathematical models of car movement on the road curve. Scope of application of the innovative technological product: Equipping cars with additional control systems that assess the critical values of the traffic parameters on turns to ensure the conditions of non-overturning when the car passes these turns

The article deals with the application of pellets as an alternative fuel for the automotive gasifier. In internal combustion engines as fuel it is possible to use producer gas generated by gasifier operating on wood waste (pellets). Cars running on wood gas (also called gas cars), though losing its elegance in appearance, but very effective in terms of environmental friendliness and can be with electric cars.

Replacing traditional internal combustion cars with electric vehicles is one of the most important aspects of the concept of electro-mobility which means environmentally friendly and clean transport. Such means of passenger transport logically fit in with the Smart City concept, as theoretically they could create opportunities for reducing traffic congestion and greenhouse gas emissions. The presented research results are an attempt to verify this hypothesis based on the opinions collected in a survey randomly conducted on users of two types of automobiles with electric and internal combustion engines. The results of the survey are not unambiguous since the development of electromobility is not supported by higher occupancy rates in electric cars and their more frequent use on short distances, but the argument for promoting them is their better operating and economic performance.

The paper is focused on fuels, their users - engines and the end-user, the vehicles, from an environmental and economic point of view. The basic characteristics of potential fuels for internal combustion engines, as well as possible sources of electricity, are analysed. A comparative analysis of characteristics of vehicle propulsion with gasoline, diesel fuel, compressed natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas and electricity was performed. The research has shown that the application of vehicles with an electric motor is ecologically justified only in cases of obtaining electricity in an environmentally friendly way and that in other cases there is no profit in an ecological sense. From an economic point of view, if there were no subsidies to manufacturers and buyers of electric cars, they would not be competitive with internal combustion engines now. Within the research, potential solutions for reducing air pollution and improving the quality of life in cities have been proposed.

Scientific expeditions to the wild are usually carried out by cars that create a negative noise load on the inhabitants of the wild. This study suggests a way to reduce such a noise load by replacing cars with internal combustion engines with electric vehicles. The measurements made it possible to specify the quantitative indicators of reducing the noise load achieved as a result of replacing cars with internal combustion engines with electric vehicles. The article specifies the limitations in the use of electric vehicles during scientific expeditions into the wild, resulting from special conditions, such as impassability and lack of service infrastructure, such as battery charging stations. The data presented in this paper may be of interest both for scientific and environmental organizations, and for government regulatory institutions in the fields of ecology, nature protection and scientific activity.
