Mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) are normal in improving road wellbeing and traffic conditions, in which security is basic. In MANETs, the authentication of the mobile access control is a vital security administration for both inter‐vehicle and vehicle–roadside unit correspondences. In the mean time, vehicles additionally must be kept from the abuse of the private data and the assaults on their privacy. There is various research works concentrating on giving the mysterious authentication protected privacy in MANETs. In this paper, we explicitly give a review on the privacy‐preserving authentication (PPA) plans proposed for MANETs. We research and sort the current PPA plots by their key cryptographies for authentication and the systems for privacy safeguarding. We likewise give a near report/rundown of the advantages and disadvantages of the current PPA plans.

A Mobile Ad-hoc network (MANET) is a network which forms a kind of self organized network without any pre-established infrastructure over radio links. Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs) are more effective in node –to- node communication. In current era of technology where most of the things are based on networks, MANETs are more suitable for wireless communication and data transfer medium due to the advent of 3G, 4G & 5G technologies. The primary objective of such an ad-hoc network routing protocol is to create appropriate and efficient route between a pair of nodes so that messages can be transmitted in a timely fashion. The dynamic design of this network makes routing protocols a prominent part in creating efficient routes between pairs of nodes The design of routes should be achieved with minimal overhead and bandwidth usage In last two decades many multicast routing protocols are designed and implemented. This paper focuses on some of the MANETs protocols and their characteristics along with their advantages and disadvantages.

In recent years, Mobile Ad-hoc Networks have been focused on research and strong applications in healthcare, military, disaster prevention, and IoT ecosystem. Due to the ad-hoc mobility characteristic of the network devices, the routing protocols are specifically designed to ensure factors such as energy efficiency, high performance, quality of service, as well as security-aware. In this article, we perform analytic routing protocols for mobile ad hoc networks to compare and evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of each protocol and propose the next research direction.

Mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) use algorithms that schedule transmissions in a fair and efficient manner. A multihop scheduler schedules transmissions so that the channel utilization is maximized while guaranteeing the quality of service (QoS) for all nodes. QoS-based scheduling in MANETs must be obtained under time-critical conditions as these networks have several features that produce unique queuing dynamics. Schedulers in MANETs take into account various QoS parameters such as end-to-end packet delay, packet delivery ratio, flow priority, etc. Also, scheduling in MANETs takes many forms such as distributed priority, fair, opportunistic, etc. This article provides a survey of scheduling techniques for MANETs and discusses the advantages and disadvantages of each category.
