This research was conducted to describe (1) the form of morphemic reduplication in Mentawai language, (2) the meaning of reduplication in Mentawai language. This type of research is qualitative research using a descriptive method. The subjects of this study are sentences containing elements of the expression of morphemic reduplication in Mentawai language used by the community in Sigapokna Village, West Siberut District, Mentawai Islands Regency. The data taken is analyzed by the following steps: (1) transcribing the recorded data into written language, (2) identifying the data in accordance with the format provided, (3) classifying the data into morphemic reduplication forms and meanings, ( 4) conclude the data based on the results of the study. There are two findings in this study. First, based on the form, the morphemis reduplication in the Mentawai language used by the community in Sigapokna Village, West Siberut District can be classified into four (1) full reduplication, (2) partial reduplication, (3) affix reduplication, (4) reduplication of phoneme changes. Secondly, based on the meaning of redemption of moemfemis in the Mentawai language used by the people in Sigapokna Village, there were 11 morphemis reduplication meanings, namely (1) many meanings, (2) many meanings explained, (3) unconditional meaning, (4) resembling meanings, ( 5) repeated meanings, (6) meaning of actions carried out without purpose, (7) mutual meaning, (8) meaning of work, (9) meaning rather, (10) meaning of the highest level, (11) meaning intensity of feeling.Keywords: morphemic reduplication, form and meaning.

This study aims to describe (1) the form of kinship words, (2) the form of non-kinship greeting words, (3) the use of kinship words, and (4) the use of non-kinship greeting words in the Minangkabau language in Nagari Koto Sani District X Koto Singkarak Solok Regency used by speakers in everyday life. This study includes the type of qualitative research with descriptive methods. Sources of data from this study are oral sources from the people of Nagari Koto Sani District X Koto Solok Regency. The focus of this research is the Minangkabau language greeting in Nagari Koto Sani District X Koto Singkarak Solok Regency. Data collection is done by using the refer and proficient method. The steps in this study are transcribing the recorded data into written language, identifying data in accordance with the aspects studied, classifying research data by creating tables based on the aspects studied, interpreting data, and concluding data based on the results of the study. The results obtained in this study are First, the greeting of the nuclear family with 48 greeting words and broad family kinship words with 64 greeting words. Second, the word non-friendship greeting said non-religious friendship words there are 12 words of greeting, the word non-traditional friendship greeting there are 8 words of greeting, the word non-friendship address is 14 greeting words, and the word non-general address greetings are 15 greeting words.Keywords : kata sapaan, bahasa Minangkabau, Nagari Koto Sani

This study aimed to describe (1) type adjectives in Minangkabau language in kenagarian Sungai Abang subdistrict Lubuk Alung district Padang Pariaman, and (2) the process of forming adjective in Minangkabau language in kenagarian Sungai Abang subdistric Lubuk Alung district Padang Pariaman. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive method. The method of data collection was using the method of referring and recording technique. Analyzing the data was done in the form of activities as follows: (1) describes the recording data into written language, (2) identify the data in accordance with the format provided, (3) classify the data into the type and process of the formation of the adjective, and (4) do data deduction based on research result. The data of this research are sentence containing the adjectives expressed by the community in kenagarian Sungai Abang subdistrict Lubuk Alung district Padang Pariaman. The source of this research is Minangkabau language especially oral language of society in kenagarian Sungai Abang subdistrict Lubuk Alung district Padang Pariaman. Based on the results of the research obtained the following results, first adjectives in Minangkabau language in kenagarian Sungai Abang subdistrict Lubuk Alung district Padang Pariaman is as follows: (1) characteristic adjective (character or temperament), (2) color adjectives, (3) shape adjectives, (4) size adjectives, (5) sensory adjectives, (6) time adjectives, (7) distance adjectives, (8) speed adjectives, (9) power adjunctive adjectives, (10) adjectiva adjectives. Secondly, there are two adjunctive adjunctive processes in the Minangkabau language, which are basic adjectives and derivate adjectives that can be sorted on beraffixed adjectives, duplicated adjectives and compounded adjective adjectives. Keywords: Adjectives, Word-forming, Minangkabau Language

This study aims to (1) describe the existential drama Oh, Edan, and Dag Dig Dug works of Putu Wijaya which include: (a) freedom, (b) anxiety, (c) the failure, (d) the futility, (e) death, (2) describe absurdism in drama  Ah, Edan, and Dag Dig Dug by Putu Wijaya which includes: (a) suicide philosophical, (b) the nature of the symbolic,  and  (c) of tragedy and comedy. This study focuses on (1) existentialism in the drama Oh, Edan, and Dag Dig Dug  by  Putu Wijaya which include: (a) freedom, (b) anxiety, (c) the failure, (d) the futility, (e) death and (2) absurdism in drama Ah, Edan, and Dag Dig Dug. This study is qualitative research, using descriptive qualitative research data collection. Descriptive method is a method which seeks to describe a phenomenon, the events that occurred at that time. In this study, descriptive method is used  to describe the concept of existentialism and absurdism. This research data  use  existantialism theory  and absurdism in playwrights  by PutuWijaya. By using the technique with  the  data source in the form of three plays, the relevant data collection technique is a technique read. Reading the drama text data collection activities conducted by member’s attention totally focused on the object. Reading and listening is a set of techniques to obtain valid data followed by activities recorded data. This study concluded five concepts of existentialism and three concepts of absurdism. The results showed that existentialism in the drama Oh, Edan, Dag Dig Dug by Putu Wijaya, looked  in terms of freedom, anxiety, failure, futility, and  death.  Three absurdism concepts  in drama Ah, Edan, Dag Dig Dug  by  Putu Wijaya looked through suicide philosophical, symbolic nature, tragedy and comedy.

This research discusses about how the existence of PKBM Paksi Safa Kawijayan in Cipinang Besar Utara Subdistrict and its relationship with efforts to improve the quality of life of the community living around PKBM Paksi Safa Kawijayaan. The purpose of this research is to provide an overview of the quality of life of the people who participate in the educational programs provided by PKBM Paksi Safa Kawijayaan. The research method used is a qualitative research with descriptive method. The results of this study indicate that the existence of PKBM Paksi Safa Kawijayan has improved the quality of life of the surrounding community, especially street children who are the targets of the Paksi Safa Kawijayan PKBM programs. This quality of life improvement can be seen in the economic, political, health, environmental and educational aspects.

This study aims to scrutinize the utilization both of visual and written language toward the billboard of legislative candidates in the general election 2019. The sources of the data are 2 billboards from 9 parties winning the general election 2019 in Indonesia and the data that has been taken by the researchers are slogans and photos which have been deployed on the billboards. This qualitative research uses the method of descriptive analysis. On billboard 1 (Golkar), the dominance of the persuasive discourse is a wise clause which has been deployed to build a good reputation about legislative candidates. Meanwhile on billboard 2 (PKS), the dominance is the invitation which indicated that the legislative candidates directly invited the people to choose them. Through the visual and written language, the legislative candidates showed their identities strongly. Briefly, these billboards which showed in this research contained the strong persuasive language which combined both of written and visual languages. Keywords: Language, Persuasive, Visual, Parties

The purpose of this research was to describe the type and function of play on language in Indonesian Club Lawak (ILK) event in Trans 7. This research was a qualitative research using descriptive method. This research data are a words or combination of words which are punned in Indonesia Club Lawak (ILK) show in Trans 7. Data source in this research were Indonesian Club Lawak (ILK) event which is broadcasted on television station Trans 7. Data are analyzed by following steps : (1) transcribing the downloaded data into written language, (2) identifying the data, (3) classifying the data into plesetan types and plesetan functions, (4) analyzing the data according to the research objectives, (5) do the discussion, (6) summarizes the findings of the study, and (7) reporting the findings of the study. This study aims to reveal and describe the choreography of a dance called Tari Piring Diateh Karambie in Kanagarian Payo, Tanah Garam Village, Lubuk Sikarah District, Solok City. This research is a qualitative research using descriptive method. The main instrument of this research was the researcher itself and was assisted by supporting instruments such as writing instruments and voice recorders. This research used primary and secondary data. The data were through literature study, observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis was conducted by collecting the data, reducing the data, presentation the data, and making conclusions. The results show that Tari Piring Diateh Karambie a is a traditional dance using a choreographic approach, and it is cultivated by raising the life of nature and the people of Nagari Payo. This dance has been around since 1995. Tari Piring Diateh Karambie uses elements of dance composition consisting of: 7 types of movement, simple floor pattern, top design, music, dramatic design, dynamic, theme, composition, group, and equipment. The movement of Tari Piring Diateh Karambie comes from a combination of Nagari Payo and Simawang. The movements and floor patterns used by dancers have fulfilled the elements of the dance composition. There is also music to accompany the dance movement so that it makes the dance alive as well as it complements the dance. The equipment used also gives the nuance to the dance so that it is not monotonous. This study aims to determine the coordination carried out by the Gayo Lues Regency government in overcoming cannabis cultivation, and also how the obstacles that occur when implementing coordination in tackling cannabis cultivation both between one agency and another as well as between agencies and the community and to find out the efforts made by the government. (BNNK, Polri, TNI) in tackling cannabis cultivation in Gayo Lues Regency. This research uses qualitative research using descriptive method which is carried out by means of purposive sampling. Data collection techniques were carried out by interviews and documentation studies, with informants of several employees at the Gayo Lues Regency National Narcotics Agency, Gayo Lues District Police, Gayo Lues District Military Command, community leaders and communities who live in areas prone to cannabis cultivation. The results of this research indicate that the collaboration formed by the BNN Gayo Lues Regency, the Police and the Kodim 0113 Gayo Lues has been carried out as much as possible but efforts are still needed to change the mindset of the community. The coordination carried out by the government is for preventive activities carried out by the District National Narcotics Agency (BNNK) Gayo Lues, while the Police and Kodim 0113 Gayo Lues are more concerned with law enforcement. The obstacles experienced by the government in overcoming cannabis cultivation are divided into 2 (two), namely internal constraints and external constraints. Internal constraints such as the lack of personnel, the absence of technology in tackling cannabis cultivation and the distance of the cannabis fields, while the external constraints are more to the people themselves. The efforts made by each agency are different, such as the National Narcotics Agency of Gayo Lues Regency which emphasizes work programs, while for the Police and Kodim 0113 Gayo Lues strives by requesting an increase in the number of personnel and the procurement of technology to combat marijuana.

This article was to describe the distribution of glottal stop in Tombulu language uttered in East Tomohon Sub-District. Four theories were chosen to be applied in this research. In various languages, glottal stops are said to occur within the following positions; Initial: in the vocal initial position, medial: between two vocals, and on intervocalic or at the morphemes boundary, final: at the vocal final position. The same theories were used to identify the distribution of glottal stops in Tombulu language. This was a qualitative research using a descriptive method. The techniques used for collecting data were observation, interview, recording, transcription and translation. The subjects of the research were the people who lived in the three villages mentioned above. The participants were chosen carefully based on some requirements, such as; mature enough, originally from Tomohon, living there, and possessing a complete set of articulators. It was found out that the glottal stop in Tombulu language occurs unpredictively. It could appear at the initial, medial, or final position within a word. Another interesting fact about the glottal distribution in Tombulu language was also found. It was found at the final particular prefixes, ma’- and pKeywords: Phonology, Consonant, Glottal stop

Introduction: This article discusses the oral tradition of the people of Koto Majidin village, namely parno adat Data Cellection Method: The stages in oral tradition research include literature studies and observation. Analysis Data: To trace the traditional parno tradition of Koto Majidin Village, qualitative research was used with a descriptive method, namely trying to describe and explain traditional customs so that they could know the substance of the parno. Furthermore, this study uses a cultural theme analysis. Results and Dicussions: Oral tradition is a tradition that has been passed down from one generation to the next. With the progress of the development of human life and the development of science, the oral tradition has been eliminated from people's lives. In the lives of urban people, this oral tradition has begun to disappear. But the existence of this oral tradition can still be found in rural areas. One of them is in Koto Majidin Village, Kab. Kerinci, namely the parno adat oral tradition. Parno adat whose existence still exists in traditional community celebrations, if not reviewed. So it is feared that there will be extinction. Conclusion: This analysis is used to conduct culture-oriented research by looking for red threads that are related associated with values, ethos, and culture. The results of this study, if viewed from the values contained in the customary community of Koto Majidin Village are religious, agrarian and humanist societies. Furthermore, the values of the traditional parno wisdom of Koto Majidin Village relate to ideological values and advice.
