This research was conducted to describe (1) the realization of the principle of politeness by the Indonesian Lawyers Club host on TVONE to act questioning and (2) the context of the use of the principle of politeness in the act of said speech. This research type is qualitative research by using descriptive method. This research data is in the form of a questioning question done by the host of Indonesia Lawyers Club which aired during March 2016. The data source of this research is a video of ILC event on 01, 08, 15, 22 and 29 March 2016 which has been downloaded in social media youtube. The data analysis process is done with 3 steps. (1) identify data in the form of questioning, (2) classify data that realize the maxims of courtesy principles, and (3) describe the context of the use of principles of politeness in acts of speech asked. Based on the results of data analysis obtained two research findings. First, the principle of politeness realized by the ILC host during March 2016, found the use of 4 maxims, ie (a) 38 data maximization of wisdom, (b) 11 data maxim of praise, (c) 8 data maxim of humility, and (d) 33 data maximization of inference. Second, the context of the use of the principle of politeness in speech acts asks (a) higher and less familiar speakers tend to be used maxim of wisdom, (b) higher and higher speakers tend to be used maxim of wisdom, (c) speakers of equal position and unfamiliar is used maximally, and (d) lower-level speakers and not yet familiar tend to be used maxim of inference. Thus, it can be concluded that the realization of the principle of civility most often realized by ILC hosts is the maxim of wisdom that tends to be used in the context of lower-level speakers and not yet familiar.Keywords: Politeness Principle, Talkshow, Indonesia Lawyers Club

This study was conducted to describe (1) the type of abreviation and (2) the formation of abreviation in the weekly newspaper of Padang Ekspres in January 2018. This research type is qualitative research by using descriptive method. This research data is a kind of abreviation (abbreviations, acronyms, fragments, contractions, and symbols) that exist in the news sentences of the weekly newspaper Padang Ekspres January 2018. The data sources of this research in the newspaper Padang Ekpres Weekly edition in January 2018. Based on the results of data analysis obtained two research findings. First, the type of abreviation in the weekly newspaper Padang Ekspres January 2018, found five types of abreviation, namely (a) abbreviation, (b) acronym, (c)fragments, (d) contractions, and (e) symbols. Second, the formation of abreviation in the weekly newspaper Padang Ekspres January 2018, consists of four processes. (a) The formation of abbreviations consisting of: the first letters of each component; first letters with conjunction, preposition, reduplication, articulation and word; first letters; and first and third letter. (b) The formation of acronyms and contractions consisting of: the first syllabus of each component; first of each component, first two letters of each component, the first three letters of each component, the first two letters of the first two and the first two letters of the second component together with the deletion; and the sequence of various letters and syllables difficult to formulate. (c) The formation of a fragment consist of: that is letters the last syllable of a word and partial splitting sequence. (d) The formation of letter symbol consisting of: that is symbol of letters that characterize size consisting of first letters of consolidation of component, letter symbol expressing data number, and symbol letters that mark currency. This study aimed to describe the form of teacher directive speech acts in learning Indonesian at SMA Negeri 2 Gunung Talang. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive method. The research data used is the teacher's speech in learning Indonesian at SMA Negeri 2 Gunung Talang. The data source is Mrs. Indra Dewi as an Indonesian teacher at SMA Negeri 2 Gunung Talang. The data collection technique used the free-of-conversation listening technique. Data analysis techniques are listening, understanding, organizing, categorizing, connecting between categories, and interpreting data based on the context. The results of this study contained five forms of directive speech acts, namely requesting speech, wishing speech, commanding speech, welcome speech, and asking speech. The utterance asks to be reviewed from the words "please" and "come on." Speeches of hope are viewed from the word "hope" or "hope." Speech orders are reviewed from the words "try" and "quick." Speech please viewed from the word "please." Asking utterances are viewed from the words "what," "who," and "how."

This study aims to: (a) describe the episode of Ilana Tan's novel Winter In Tokyo; (b) describe the movie episode of Winter In Tokyo by director Fajar Bustomi; (c) describe the episode of Ilana Tan's novel Winter In Tokyonovel with Winter In Tokyo directed by Fajar Bustomi. This research type is qualitative research with descriptive method. This research data is the episode of novelty novel Winter In Tokyo by Ilana Tan and Winter In Tokyo film directed by Fajar Bustomi. Data collection techniques have three stages. First, read Ilana Tan's Winter In Tokyo novel, and then follow Winter In Tokyo directed by Fajar Bustomi. Second, the data collection phase of the novel episode of Winter In Tokyo by Ilana Tan and Winter In Tokyo film by director Fajar Bustomi were collected through recording and observation techniques. Third, the stage of inventorying data into data inventory format. The research findings are episodes of 24 novel episodes, while in the film there are 24 episodes. In the film there are 6 additional episodes, and a reduction of 14 episodes, while the episode of a novel story that changes varies after being turned into a movie, found 7 episodes. It happens because of the creativity of the director while adapting the novel to the movie.Keywords: novel, movie, ekranisasi, episode

Abstract Implicatures in Indonesian Political Humor by Zaenuddin HM. This research is intended to describe conventional and conversational implicatures which contained in Zanenuddin’s works. The researcher use descriptive method and the approach which is used by the researcher is qualitative research as a pragmatic study. The research data and data source are taken from Zaenuddin’s works entitled ‘Humor Politik Indonesia’. Data collection method used are listening and documentation method . Instrument which is used in this research is researcher herself and she uses water analysis method to analyze the data research. According to the results of data analysis, the researcher founds implicatures in Zanenuddin’s works. Conventional and conversational implicatures found in every utterances with functions like, a. wishing, b. ordering, and c. mocking or teasing function. Key words: implicature, humor, political, Zaenuddin Abstrak Implikatur dalam Buku Wacana Humor Politik Indonesia karya Zaenuddin HM: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan wujud implikatur percakapan dan wujud implikatur konvensional yang terdapat dalam buku karya Zaenuddin tersebut. Pendekatan yang digunakan oleh peneliti adalah pendekatan kualitatif, yang merupakan jenis penelitian pragmatik. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif. Data dan sumber data yang bersumber dari buku humor politik karya Zaenuddin. Teknik yang digunakan ialah metode dokumentasi dan simak. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah diri sendiri. Teknis analisis menggunakan model air Miles dan Huberman (2014:18). Hasil analisis menemukan wujud implikatur dalam buku humor politik karya Zaenuddin adalah: menemukan wujud implikatur percakapan dan implikatur konvensional yang dalam setiap tuturan terdapat juga fungsi, fungsinya yaitu sebagai berikut a) fungsi mengharap, b) fungsi memerintah, c) fungsi menyindir, dan d) fungsi mengkritik. ABSTRACT This research aims to describe two things. First describes the feature of text fable students of Class VII SMP Negeri 2 Padang Panjang. Second, describe the spelling in the text fable the text of Class VII SMP Negeri 2 Padang Panjang. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive method. This research Data is the use of tasks in the text Fable class VII SMP Negeri 2 Padang Panjang. The data source in this study is fable text written in grade VII students. D SMP Negeri 2 Padang Panjang numbering 30 texts. Data is collected through documentation study methods or document utilization. The data analysis technique is done by five procedures. First, identify common elements of data. Secondly, it identifies the data based on the theory of reference. The identification of the data is done by creating the fable text and spelling characteristics identification format. Third, analyzing the data. Fourth, interpret the data that has been analyzed. This research examines and discovers the variation and formation of slang in the street food court (angkringan) of the Perpek community, Ponorogo Regency, which is indicated by a variant of the slang language. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. The research data is in the form of words from languages that contain slang forms and are spoken by sellers and buyers. Data collection uses observation techniques supported by note-taking techniques. The data analysis technique used is the equivalent method and the method of religion. The findings of this research are four processes of the formation of slang language in terms of the formation of phonological structures, namely: (1) reversing the overall arrangement of letters, for example "mahal" to "laham", (2) giving an insert at the beginning and at the end both vowels and consonants, for example "kopi" becomes "ngikop", (3) exchanges consonants and replaces one or two letters, for example "sedikit" becomes "sikit", and (4) words are shortened or cut without changing their meanings, for example "mama cantik" to be "macan". The results of the research findings indicate the formation of new slang languages that are different from the original languages, both from Indonesian and regional languages (Javanese). Penelitian ini mengkaji dan menemukan variasi dan pembentukan bahasa slang di angkringan komunitas Perpek, Kabupaten Ponorogo, yang terindikasi ditemuakan varian bahasa slang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode diskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian berupa kata dari bahasa yang mengandung bentuk bahasa slang dan dituturkan oleh penjual dan pembeli. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi yang didukung dengan teknik simak-libat-catat. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah metode padan dan metode agih. Dari penelitian ini diperoleh temuan berupa empat proses pembentukan variasi bahasa slang dari segi pembentukan struktur fonologis, yaitu: (1) membalikkan susunan huruf secara keseluruhan, misal "mahal" menjadi "laham", (2) memberikan sisipan di awal dan di akhir kata, baik vokal maupun konsonan, misal "kopi" menjadi "ngikop", (3) menukar konsonan dan mengganti satu atau dua huruf,  misal "sedikit" menjadi "sikit", dan (4) kata dipendekkan atau dipotong tanpa mengubah maknanya, misal "mama cantik" menjadi "macan". Hasil temuan penelitian menunjukkan adanya pembentukan bahasa slang baru yang berbeda dari bahasa aslinya, baik dari bahasa Indonesia maupun bahasa daerah (bahasa Jawa).

An illocutionary act is a speech act that is usually identified by explicit performative sentences. The research on illocutionary acts in vlogs is an action that shows the meaning of speech during communication. This study aims to describe illocutionary acts on Fiersa Besari's vlog YouTube channel Jangan Lupa Senyum Part 1 along with its speech function. The method used in this research is the descriptive method. The form of research used here is qualitative research. The data source in this study is the vlog Jangan Lupa Senyum Part 1 on the Fiersa Besari YouTube channel. The data in this study are transcripts of conversations between characters in vlogs. Data collection techniques in research using the observation method and note-taking techniques. The findings in the research in this vlog were only 15 utterances of illocutionary speech acts. From the 15 utterances, 7 data on assertive illocutionary acts, 2 directive illocutionary acts, and 7 expressive illocutionary acts. From this research, it is expected that we can understand the function of illocutionary acts that are relevant to everyday life

This study aims to (1) describe the existential drama Oh, Edan, and Dag Dig Dug works of Putu Wijaya which include: (a) freedom, (b) anxiety, (c) the failure, (d) the futility, (e) death, (2) describe absurdism in drama  Ah, Edan, and Dag Dig Dug by Putu Wijaya which includes: (a) suicide philosophical, (b) the nature of the symbolic,  and  (c) of tragedy and comedy. This study focuses on (1) existentialism in the drama Oh, Edan, and Dag Dig Dug  by  Putu Wijaya which include: (a) freedom, (b) anxiety, (c) the failure, (d) the futility, (e) death and (2) absurdism in drama Ah, Edan, and Dag Dig Dug. This study is qualitative research, using descriptive qualitative research data collection. Descriptive method is a method which seeks to describe a phenomenon, the events that occurred at that time. In this study, descriptive method is used  to describe the concept of existentialism and absurdism. This research data  use  existantialism theory  and absurdism in playwrights  by PutuWijaya. By using the technique with  the  data source in the form of three plays, the relevant data collection technique is a technique read. Reading the drama text data collection activities conducted by member’s attention totally focused on the object. Reading and listening is a set of techniques to obtain valid data followed by activities recorded data. This study concluded five concepts of existentialism and three concepts of absurdism. The results showed that existentialism in the drama Oh, Edan, Dag Dig Dug by Putu Wijaya, looked  in terms of freedom, anxiety, failure, futility, and  death.  Three absurdism concepts  in drama Ah, Edan, Dag Dig Dug  by  Putu Wijaya looked through suicide philosophical, symbolic nature, tragedy and comedy.

This study aims to describe the  forms of expressive speech act uttered by adults in TPI in Pesisir Selatan Regency, Sumatera Barat. This  is a descriptive qualitative research. The data are any  utterances which contain expressive speech acts of adult in TPI Pesisir Selatan.  The analysis is done by using speech acts theory proposed by Searle. Data source of this research is Adult in TPI. In this research, the researcher used observational method because the data are in the form of spoken language that obtained in a Adult in TPI. Thus this research used notetaking technique in collecting expressive speech act. The research findings show that there are ten kinds of expressive speech act in adults in TPI, namely apology, thanks, sympathy, attitudes, expressing greeting, wishing, expressing joy, expressing pain, expressing like, and expressing dislikes.
