Writing is one of the important skills that should be mastered by the students. In writing, the students need to express their feeling in a good way and well-organized. In fact, most of students were lack of idea and could not write well-organized in written form. The purpose of this research was to find out the effect of Peer Conference Strategy and students’ self-confidence toward the writing skill of recount text. The sample consists of 64 students. The research data was collected using writing test and self-confidence questionnaires. Data analysis was using t-test and Two Ways ANOVA. The analysis of the research results shows that (1) Peer Conference strategy was effective than expository strategy; (2) Peer Conference strategy was effective to high self-confidence students; (3) Peer Conference strategy was not effective to low self-confidence students; (4) There was an interaction both teaching strategies and self-confidence in writing skill.

So, the researcher took all the number of population as the sample. The data were collected by using pre-test and post-test. The instrument of this research used was writing test. The technique that was used to analyse the data was t-test formula. From the data analysis, it was found that the result of t-test (2,296) was higher than t-table (1,711) at the significant level = 0,05 and the number of degree of freedom (df) = 24. Therefore. Based on the result of the analysis. It can be concluded that Fantasy Stories Technique  Towards Students’ Creativity in Writing at the Second Grade Students’of  SMAN 1 Praya Timur in academic year 2017/ 2018 is effective.

The objective of this study was to find out whether there was a significant effectof Fishbone Strategy on students’analytical exposition writing ability. It wascunducted by using experimental research. The population of this study waseleventh grade of SMA N 1 Girsang Sipangan Bolon, which is consisted of 4parallel classes. Two classes were taken as a sample of the research. The class XIIPA 1 was an experimantal group and class XI IPA 3 as a control group. Theexperimental group was taught by using Fishbone Strategy, otherwise controlgroup was taught by using Discussion Method. The instrument for collecting datawas writing test. The data was analyzed by using t-test formula. The result showsthat the value of t-obseved is higher than the value of t-table. (3,69>1,701(α =0,05)) with the degree of freedom (df) = 54. Based on the data analysis of thestudy, the result indicates that Fishbone Strategy affects on students’ analyticalexposition writing ability.

In teaching writing, teaching strategy and students’ self-confidence influence students’ writing skill. The research was conducted to find out the effect of Roundtable Strategy and students’ self-confidence on students’ writing skill of descriptive text. The design of this research was quasi experimental with 2x2 factorial design. The population of this research was the VIII grade students of SMP Tri Bhakti Pekanbaru, 2015/2016 academic year. Writing test and self-confidence questionnaire were used as the research instruments. Then, the data were analyzed by using t-test formula and two ways Anova. The result of this research shows that (1) students who were taught by using Roundtable Strategy had better writing skill in writing descriptive text than those who were taught by using Three Phase Strategy. It was proven by the result of t-test which showed that tobserved was bigger than ttable, (2) students with high self-confidence who were taught by Roundtable Strategy had better writing skill in descriptive text than those who were taught by using Three Phase Strategy, (3) students with low self-confidence who were taught by Roundtable Strategy had better writing skill in descriptive text than those who were taught by using Three Phase Strategy, and (4) there was no interaction between both strategies and students’ self-confidence toward students’ writing skill, where Fobserved (0.004) was less than Ftable (3.39). In conclusion, Roundtable Strategy had a significant result on students’ writing skill than Three Phase Strategy and there was no interaction between teaching strategies and students’ self-confidence toward students’ writing skill.

Writing skill is one of the English skills which is often regarded as somethingdifficult to master. Students tend to have less attention to this skill. Even worse, some teachers also often lack of attention to it since it requires more time to checkthe students work on writing. Consequently, the students’ writing competenceis difficult to increase. To overcome the problem, the possible alternative theteacher can use is using Project Based Learning since the approach seems to beeffective to improve the students’ writing competence. The other aspect that can possibly influence the writing competence is Motivation Achievement. In this research, the problem investigated is whether or not there is influence usingProject Based Learning and Achievement Motivation in increasing writingability. The kind of research used is experimental research with nonrandomizedcontrol group pretest posttest design. The data analysis used is t-test usingSPSS version 21. The result of the research shows that Project Based Learninginfluences the students’ writing ability, while Achievement Motivation has nosignificant impact on the students’ writing ability.

Data analysis of this research was tested by using t-test in order to find out whether the research hypothesis was accepted or not. Based on the calculation, the t-ratio is 2,998. It was consulted with t-table on the significant level (α) of 5% and the degree of freedom (df) was 38. The t-table obtained was 1,686. It proves that t-ratio is higher than t-table (2,998>1,686), so the hypothesis of the research is accepted. Furthermore, the conclusion of this research is that Youtube videos give positive effect on the writing skill to teach writing to the students who are taught by using Youtube videos. It is suggested for the teacher to apply Youtube videos in the teaching writing. It can be used to solve the students’ difficulties in writing narrative text. Writing is an activity that not only need physical act but also mental act. Students can put their statements, idea and opinion in composing writing. Moreover, students learn with visually, auditory and kinesthetic. Students with multi learning style usually better in learning and understand lessons, particularly in writing. Due to the statement, this study is aimed to find out the correlation between students’ learning style and their writing skill. This study use survey quantitative method and analyze the data by using statitisctical hypotheses. Based on the data analysis, it was found that student’s learning style was not normally distributed, whereas the data of writing test was normally distributed. Therefore, the researchers used non-parametric statistics to analyze the hypotheses. Kendall Tau calculation was used and obtained that Zcount ((0,35) <  Ztable (1,96) with significant 0,05. Thus, H0 is accepted and Hi is rejected. It means that there is no correlation between students’ learning style and their writing skill. In this case, learning style were not dominat factors affected writing skill.

This research was conducted to find out the effect using Edmodo application on the students’ writing skill of analytical exposition text at SMAN 4 Palangka Raya. Data of the students score of writing Analytical Exposition text was collected using writing test, and the hypothesis testing was examined based on t-test for normally because the data distribution was normal. A test in form of writing analytical exposition text was used the instrument to collect the data needed. Then, the data were analyzed by using parametric statistic dependent sample T – test because the data were normally distributed. The writer took conclusion based on statistical result. The result of this research shows that the critical value for students T distribution was 1.734 the critical value t0 was t05 {19} = 1.729. Because 1.734 is greater than 1.729, null hypothesis was rejected. Thus, it can be concluded that there was significant effect of using Edmodo Application in writing Analytical Exposition Text gained by eleventh grade of SMAN 4 Palangka Raya. Thus, Edmodo Application had been successful in improving students’ writing ability of Analytical Exposition text. The researcher suggest that the teacher should provide an appropriate media in teaching English, especially for Analytical Exposition Text and made Edmodo Application as reference to him/her to use it for making students’ attracted to the material.
