Purpose. The study aimed to evaluate the visual quality of forme fruste keratoconus (FFK) and mild and moderate keratoconus by using an optical quality analysis system II (OQAS-II) and to explore the correlation between optical quality parameters and the disease progression. Methods. Twenty-one normal eyes, twenty-one FFK eyes, twenty-one mild keratoconus eyes, and twenty-one moderate keratoconus eyes were included in this prospective study. The optical quality parameters, such as object scatter index (OSI), modulation transfer function cutoff (MTF cutoff), strehl ratio (SR), and OQAS-II values at contrasts of 100% (OV-100), 20% (OV-20), and 9% (OV-9), were measured by OQAS-II. The repeatability of these parameters was analyzed by intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC), repeatability coefficient (RC), and coefficient of variation (CVw). Correlations between optical quality parameters and mean central keratometry readings (Kmean) were evaluated. The sensitivity and specificity of the parameters were analyzed using the receiver operating characteristic (ROC). Results. All the optical quality parameters among four groups showed good repeatability (all ICC≥0.75). The MTF cutoff, SR, OV-100, OV-20, OV-9 in FFK, mild and moderate keratoconus eyes were significantly lower than those in the normal group (all P<0.05). The ROC analyses of the MTF cutoff, SR, OV-100, OV-20, and OV-9 showed significant area under the curve (AUC) in discriminating FFK form normal, mild keratoconus from FFK, and moderate keratoconus from mild keratoconus (all P<0.05). The OSI in mild and moderate keratoconus eyes were significantly higher than that in FFK and normal group (all P<0.05), while the OSI showed no significant difference between the FFK group and normal group (P>0.05). The ROC analyses of the OSI showed significant AUC in discriminating mild keratoconus from FFK and moderate keratoconus from mild keratoconus (all P<0.05). In addition, the MTF cutoff was closely correlated to Kmean in keratoconus eyes (r = −0.710, P<0.001). Conclusion. The repeatability of OQAS-II is good in measuring visual quality of normal as well as FFK, mild, and moderate keratoconus. The visual quality of the FFK, mild, and moderate keratoconus is worse than that in normal eyes. The OQAS-II has the potential value in screening FFK from normal eyes and might be a useful tool for evaluating the progression of keratoconus.

Love is one of the most desired feelings by human beings. According to the triangular theory of love, it is composed of three elements: intimacy, passion and decision/commitment, which constitutes a dimension related to the quality of love the partners perceive in their relationship. This study aims to compare the three elements of love and marital quality of 86 Internet users (43 in a relationship mediated by the Internet and 43 with a physical relationship). The results indicate that there is a significant difference in the intimacy, the decision/commitment and the whole dimension of love, as well as in the marital quality between partners who have a relationship mediated by Internet and the ones in a physical relationship. We can conclude that the Internet is a great tool for people to meet, but that it is important for the relationship to develop in a face-to-face context.

OBJECTIVE: To understand Spiritual Pain and the new meaning it takes on using the RIME intervention. Subjects and methods: Eleven terminally ill patients (n=11), treated at public hospitals, received care from six professionals trained for RIME application. The methods used were both qualitative, through phenomenology, and quantitative, based on the descriptive method, using the Wilcoxon Test. RESULTS: In the qualitative approach, six categories and eleven subcategories were found. The prevailing categories were: fear of dying by denying the severity of the clinical condition (n=5); fear of dying by realizing the severity of the clinical condition (n=5); fear of postmortem due to disintegration or feeling of non-existence, of being affectively forgotten (n=5). In the quantitative analysis, a statistically significant difference (p<0.0001) was noted. CONCLUSION: The results suggested that RIME promoted quality of life in the dying process, as well as more serenity and dignity in the face of death.

Anxiety is one of clinical manifestations of perimenopausal phase. Managing anxiety is important because excessive anxiety can lower the quality of life of perimenopausal woman. Beside pharmacological treatment, there are some nonpharmacological treatment options which can be used to manage excessive anxiety, one of them is by don yoga. The purpose of this research is to know the difference of anxiety level between perimenopausal women with and without yoga. This research is an analytical observation using cross-sectional method. Research subjects were selected randomly, consisted of 103 perimenopausal women between the ages of 39 – 51 which divided into 2 groups, namely perimenopausal women with and without yoga. Data was collected using a self-completion questionnaire and consist of general identity, information about participation in yoga, and Zung’s Self-Rating Anxiety Scale to measure the anxiety level. Result shows that on the group of perimenopausal women with yoga, 5 respondents (9,8%) are anxious and 46 respondents (90.2%) are not anxious. On the group of perimenopausal women without yoga, 16 respondents (30.8%) are anxious and 36 respondents (69.2%) are not anxious. Data analysis shows that there is significant difference in anxiety level between perimenopausal women with and without yoga (p=0.008). Conclusion of the study is the anxiety level of perimenopausal women with yoga is lower than the anxiety level of perimenopausal women without yoga.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of cinematherapy in improving student self-control. This research uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The sample of this study were 21 Unindra students. The self control instrument used is a Likert scale model. The results showed the percentage of Pre Test and post test showed that there were 4 students who had self-control in the excellent category of 19%. Furthermore, there are 17 students who have a good category by 81%. Next, if seen from the t test results show that the value of the Pre Test obtained an average of self-control or a mean of 218.9. While the Post Full Self Test value was 222.9. So with that it means descriptively there is a difference in the average of self control between the Pre Test and the Post Test results. However, it is not significant. Based on the value of the correlation coefficient (correlation) of 0.350 with a significance value (sig.) Of 0,000 because the value of Sig. 0,000 <probability 0.05, it can be said that there is a relationship between the Pre Test variable and the Post Test variable. However, it is not significant. So it can be concluded that there is no significant difference in average between Pre-Test and Post-Test self-control, which means that cinematherapy has proven ineffective in increasing the self-control of UNINDRA students.

ABSTRACT: This study determined the effect of different defoliation frequencies in a long-cycle ryegrass cultivar on yield components and the physiological and sanitary quality of seeds. Four defoliation frequencies were applied (without, one, two, and three defoliations). The time between defoliations was 350 degree-days. At the first, second, and third defoliation time, the plants were 15 cm, 20 cm, and 35 cm, respectively, and were lowered to half their height. The yield components and plant structure were evaluated through the tillers, along with the physiological quality of the seeds, which was verified by germination tests, first germination count, accelerated aging, tetrazolium test, field emergence, and weight of a thousand seeds. For the sanitary quality analysis, the percentage (%) of fungi incidence in the seeds was verified. The second defoliation determined the seeds’ high physiological and sanitary quality due to the higher amount of primary and secondary tillers produced concerning the other treatments. However, there was no significant difference for the third defoliation since the aerial tillers issued the same quality of seeds originated from primary and secondary tillers. The average incidence of fungi such as Colletotrichum sp., Fusarium sp., Phoma sp., and Dreshslera spp. was lower in ryegrass plants subjected to three defoliations.

Purpose. Comparative analysis of the achieved clinical refraction and the state of visual functions in patients with high myopia after implantation of multifocal and phakic intraocular lenses (IOL), subjective patients satisfaction of the quality of vision when working at close range. Material and methods. The clinical material consisted of 23 patients (46 eyes) with high myopia. 1st group – 10 people (20 eyes), who underwent phacoemulsification with implantation phakic and toric phakic IOLs (IPSL V 2.0) in both eyes, 2nd group – 13 people (26 eyes) – with implantation multifocal and multifocal toric IOLs (Alcon, USA) in both eyes. Uncorrected visual acuity (UCVA) at various distances and subjective patients satisfaction of visual functions using a standard questionnaire were investigated. Results. UCVA indices for the three distances turned out to be comparably high in both groups and did not reveal a statistically significant difference. But for long distance 12 months after the operation, the average UCVA index turned out to be statistically significantly higher in the 2nd group, amounting to 0.65 (0.6; 1) versus 0.5 (0.5; 0.6) in the 1st group. According to the result of the total calculation of the scores of the questionnaire, there was no statistical difference in the obtained indicators; p=0.13. Conclusion. Comparative analysis showed that both methods of IOL implantation in patients with high myopia made it possible to achieve high indicators of visual functions and high satisfaction of quality of vision at any distance. Key words: high myopia, IPCL, phakic IOL, multifocal IOL.
