Sixty-two students, graduating in 1975 from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Nairobi, Kenya, were sent a questionnaire, which was returned by 41. The graduates scored 4 aspects of the teaching in each subject on a scale from 1 = very poor to 5 = very good. The overall average for all years was 3.51 ± .45, indicating that the teaching was regarded as satisfactory, but not as particularly good. The variation between subjects was large, the poorest subject getting an average score of 2.78 ± .78 and the best a score of 3.94 ± .68, the coefficient of variation ranging from 14 to 28. In many subjects the practical instruction was rated much lower than the theoretical one, and in one case the difference was as large as 1.61 points. The use and quality of teaching material was generally rated lower than theoretical instruction, as were examinations. These results, as well as the comments provided by the students indicate that there is considerable scope for improvement of the teaching in many subjects.

The article investigates how university lecturers taking part in the compulsory teacher training at Stockholm University (SU) conceive of the effects of standardised and formalised training on their teaching. The study explores the emotions and responses evoked among academics when everyone is required to embrace the same pedagogic philosophy of constructive alignment (Biggs 2003), adopt the language of learning outcomes and assign the same standards to diverse academic practices. The article attempts to shed light on different conceptions of the quality of teaching and learning in higher education and the interplay between the lecturers' values of academic freedom, collegiality and disciplinary expertise and the university leadership's values of efficiency, accountability and measurability of performance. The article considers how these conceptions coexist and are negotiated within the university as an organisation.

This study aims to develop accounting teaching materials and to see the feasibility of teaching materials in improving the quality of classroom learning on the subject matter of the accounting cycle of service companies. This research is a development research adapted from the ADDIE model. There are 5 stages, namely: 1. Analysis (Analysis), 2. Design (Design), 3. Development (Development), 4. Implementation (Implementation), 5. Evaluation (Evaluation). Validation was carried out by material experts, media experts and assessments from class X accounting students of Ar-Rahman Medan Private Vocational School. Based on the assessment of material 1 on the feasibility of teaching materials for accounting books, the average score is 3.87 with the "Eligible" category, and the material expert orders 2 obtained an average score of 4.20 in the "Eligible" category, an indication of media experts is obtained on average. amounting to 4.00 in the "Eligible" category. Students' assumptions about accounting book teaching materials show an average of 4.45 with the category "Very Appropriate". Thus, the teaching material for the Accounting Service Company Cycle book is declared "Feasible" to be used as an accounting learning medium in improving the quality of learning.

Students‘ assassment of the quality of teaching and educationis a valuable tool through which lecturers can find out what the participants think of their educational task. This is a kind of assessment which is embeded right in the centre of the pedagogical act and which brings together the principal agents pertaining to the university teaching system (students, lecturers, and the staff in charge). However, this form of assessment is disputed as it encounters significant obstacles, namely difficulties in terms of the management of this assessment as well as in terms of reliability and validity of its measuring tools. This paper aims at providing the necessary steps for an elaboration and a foundation of an online measure of evaluating teaching and education. Such a computerised evaluation is to be administeredby students who are studying at the Faculty of Science, Ben M’Sik - Casablanca, Morocco. To begin with, in this online tool of evaluatin we shall describe the stages of this elaboration, includingcertain chosen criteria. Secondly, we will show the way in which the functionalities and possibilities of an online tool of assessment can effectively be handledby students within an institute of Higher Education. In concludion,we end this study by providing a factor analysis of this computerised instrument: this is to be carried out through the most important measures, namely, validity and authenticity.

the purpose of the article was to identify the nature of the impact of the pandemic on the quality of education at a university using distance learning and artificial intelligence. The research methodology was based on a complex of general scientific and special methods. The data obtained during the survey and in-depth interviews were summarized and analyzed in a focus group. Stable connections and tendencies in the change in the quality of teaching at the university are revealed. Traps for students are attributed to stable connections: lack of a valid system of control over the authorship of completed works; the possibility of unauthorized use of various electronic sources when responding; coronavirus quarantine leads to the erasure of students’ boundaries between study and life, personal space and social environment; an increase in students’ desire to have high grades in subjects with a decrease in interest in learning. Trends: increased workload on teachers and supporting (technical) personnel; growing dissatisfaction with distance learning; reduction of responsibility on the part of students for mastering knowledge in the course of distance learning.

This chapter focuses on the problem of assessing the quality of higher education. It has been identified that the quality assessment of higher education consists of external and internal assessment of educational services quality. External assessment of educational services quality is carried out by all economic entities that are consumers. Internal assessment of educational services quality should be carried out by the university itself. For these purposes, the university develops a quality management system and organizes a department responsible for organizing and monitoring the quality of educational services. Internal assessment of educational services quality includes such parameters as the quality of student training and the quality of teaching at university. A rating assessment of students' knowledge is developed at university to control the quality of students' training. A rating assessment of the university academic staff is carried out to maintain the quality of teaching.
