A short description on phases of intemal migration and industrial changes in Finland isgiven from a historical perspective. The main part of the article concentrates on specialfeatures of intemal migration that are related to the specialisation of the labour marketsin the l 990s. Three interconnected developments are anal ysed - intemal migration andgrowth of urban centres with well-developed high-tech industries, unemployment, andthe relationship of intemal and intemational migration. Urban centres with developedhigh-tech industries have strengthened their edge over others in developing a neweconomy of network societies. The l 990s are also characterised by increased migrationof the unemployed. The trend started during the depression in the l 990s, and seems tohave continued ever since. Intemal and intemational migration are related to each other. The largest urban centres play an important role as linking points of these two forms ofmigration. Intemal migration can be seen as a step-wise approach to unfamiliar conditions.Almost three out of ten emigrants made intemal moves before emigrating in the1990s.

The high precision balls are requested in national defense, astronautics and high-tech commercial domain urgently. Conventional precision machining methods are sensitive to uniformity of abrasives and machining environment. After precision machining, there are easily to produce thick damaged layer on the ball surface because of machining stress and chemical conversion. On the basis of the floating polishing mechanism, a new scatheless ultra-precision polishing method of ball surface can solve the problems of abrasives uniformity effectively and damaged layer. In order to ensure that the new polishing method polishes ball surface equally, the appropriate angular velocities of the ball should be selected. This paper sets up the mathematical model about the motion of ball. By analyzing and simulating the relationship of the angular velocities, the best processing parameters are acquired.

ABSTRACT: The dynamics of the internal migration is a crucial element in the composition of the workforce of a certain region, so its analysis contributes to the better understanding of labor markets and sociodemographic changes in a region. In order to characterize the most recent patterns of migratory flows of skilled and unskilled labor, census data are considered for the periods 1995-2000, 2005-2010 and 2010-2015. The analysis considers different indicators that describe the intensity and relative concentration of interstate migration. Changes in migratory patterns are evident; a lower concentration of internal migration whose effect is more marked for unskilled labor. That is, it is observed that the number of states that play a preponderant role in the redistribution of labor in Mexico has increased. The relationship of domestic labor mobility is evident to the regional transformation as a result of new geographical patterns of location of investment, production and economic agglomeration.

This chapter considers the history of alcohol in Nuosu Yi society in relation to the formal codification of a Yi heritage of alcohol-related culture, and the question of alcohol in Yi health. The relationship of newly invented tradition to older practice and thought is often obscure in studies that lack historical perspective. Examining the historical narratives associated with the exposition of a Yi heritage of alcohol, this study reveals that those narratives are woven from a tapestry of threads with histories of their own, and they therefore shape present-day heritage work. After a brief overview of ideas about alcohol in contemporary discourses on Yi heritage, the chapter then analyses historical texts to argue that many of these ideas are remarkably similar to ones that emerged in the context of nineteenth and early twentieth century contact between Yi and Han communities.

Two levels of education (high school or less and training beyond high school) and nine content scales of the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory-2 (MMPI-2) were used to predict employment-related outcomes among a sample of 109 blind adults. It was found that education, anger, cynicism, obsessiveness, and family problems were significant predictors of employability. Furthermore, 80 percent of the employed subjects and 71.4 percent of the unemployed subjects were classified by low self-esteem, education, and cynicism and the underemployed had higher mean scores than the nonunderemployed on cynicism and Type A behavior.

This chapter emphasizes the variety of today’s e-learning systems. They have both positive and negative characteristics. Several useful tools are common for these systems. The main part of this chapter contains a detailed description of e-learning systems and their tools. If a system is appropriate for the needs of the learner then it has more intelligent behavior and its tools are more specialized. Some systems have separate tools that act as standalone applications. Others contain built in tools. In this chapter, the e-learning tools are grouped by their functions. Owing to standardization efforts, the differences between the e-learning tools become their advantages, and the e-learning systems become interoperable. The intelligent learning management systems (ILMS) become a new way to integrate the benefits of the different e-learning systems. At the end of the chapter there is a short description of an ILMS named Multitutor. This represents a possible way of future e-learning systems development.

The main part of this paper is concerned with observations obtained using the Princeton ultraviolet telescope-spectrometer on the Copernicus satellite through the Princeton guest investigator programme. These observations provided high resolution ultraviolet spectra of the bright southern shell star η Cen, which are now being analysed in detail. A short description of the new η Cen spectra and a progress report on the data analysis are presented below. In the second part of the paper we describe visible-region spectra of the northern Be stars γ Cas and φ Per obtained with a cross-dispersed echelle spectrograph on the 36-inch Yapp telescope at the Royal Greenwich Observatory.
