Recent neural network research has demonstrated a significant benefit in machine learning compared to conventional algorithms based on handcrafted models and features. In regions such as video, speech and image recognition, the neural network is now widely adopted. But the high complexity of neural network inference in computation and storage poses great differences on its application. These networks are computer-intensive algorithms that currently require the execution of dedicated hardware. In this case, we point out the difficulty of Adders (MOAs) and their high-resource utilization in a CNN implementation of FPGA .to address these challenge a parallel self-time adder is implemented which mainly aims at minimizing the amount of transistors and estimating different factors for PASTA, i.e. field, power, delay.

Principal Component Analysis (PCA) is a technique for dimensionality reduction that is useful in removing redundant information in data for various applications such as Microwave Imaging (MI) and Hyperspectral Imaging (HI). The computational complexity of PCA has made the hardware acceleration of PCA an active research topic in recent years. Although the hardware design flow can be optimized using High Level Synthesis (HLS) tools, efficient high-performance solutions for complex embedded systems still require careful design. In this paper we propose a flexible PCA hardware accelerator in Field-Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) that we designed entirely in HLS. In order to make the internal PCA computations more efficient, a new block-streaming method is also introduced. Several HLS optimization strategies are adopted to create an efficient hardware. The flexibility of our design allows us to use it for different FPGA targets, with flexible input data dimensions, and it also lets us easily switch from a more accurate floating-point implementation to a higher speed fixed-point solution. The results show the efficiency of our design compared to state-of-the-art implementations on GPUs, many-core CPUs, and other FPGA approaches in terms of resource usage, execution time and power consumption.

The growing use of computer vision applications has increased the demand for efficient image processing implementations. These applications have constraints that, in some cases, can only be met by dedicated hardware implementations. This work presents architectures that apply approximate computing techniques to improve efficiency and scalability for implementing digital image filters on FPGA. These architectures were implemented as hardware accelerators for an embedded processor in an FPGA-based System-on-Chip. The results show that the use of approximate computing techniques can reduce costs without affecting results for the target application, which is an essential feature for further acceleration using parallel processing on hardware.

В статье рассматривается исследование модели соединения Web-приложения и Web-службы напрямую и через прокси. Рассматривается кроссплатформенная высокопроизводительная среда ASP.NET. При разработке используется паттерн MVC. Формирование запросов реализуется с помощью архитектурного стиля REST и протокола передачи гипертекста HTTP. Строится модель взаимодействия Web-приложения и Web-службы. Целью данной работы является исследование данной модели взаимодействия напрямую и через прокси. Были разработаны Web-приложение, являющееся сервисом по аренде видеофильмов и Web-служба, функциональное назначение которой – работа с базой данных Web-сервера. Для реализации прокси сборки было создан отдельный проект. В настройках проекта были прописаны протокол передачи данных, хост API, порт и роутинги перенаправления запросов. Исследование модели проводилось с помощью программного обеспечения Postman и инструментов браузера. Результаты исследования показывают плюсы и минусы использования прокси при взаимодействии Web-приложения и Web-службы. Данная статья поможет заказчикам, разработчикам Web-приложений выбрать модель соединения Web-приложения и Web-службы, соответствующую решаемым задачам. The article considers the study of the connection model of a Web application and a Web service directly and through a proxy. A cross-platform high-performance environment is considered ASP.Net. The MVC pattern is used during development. Request generation is implemented using the REST architectural style and the HTTP hypertext transfer protocol. A model of interaction between a Web application and a Web service is being built. The purpose of this work is to study this model of interaction directly and through a proxy. A Web application was developed, which is a video rental service and a Web service, the functional purpose of which is to work with a Web server database. A separate project was created to implement the build proxy. In the project settings, the data transfer protocol, API host, port and request forwarding routings were registered. A previously developed service was used as an API. The model was studied using Postman software and browser tools. The results of the study show the pros and cons of using a proxy when interacting with a Web application and a Web service. This article will help customers, developers of Web applications to choose a model for connecting a Web application and a Web service that corresponds to the tasks being solved.
