Abstract The aim of this research was to determine to what extent different variables describe the style and way of life present within the student population in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In this sense, in addition to general data on examinees, gender differences were identified, the assessment of parental dimensions of control and emotion, overall family circumstances, level of empathy, intercultural sensitivity, role models, preferences of lifestyles, everyday habits and resistance and (or) tendencies to depressive, anxiety states and stress. The survey included a sample of 457 examinees, students of undergraduate studies at the University of Zenica and the University of Sarajevo, with a total of 9 faculties and 10 departments covering technical, natural, social sciences and humanities. The obtained data give a broad picture of the everyday life of youth and confirm some previously theoretically and empirically justified theses about the connection of the family background of students, everyday habits, with the level of empathy, intercultural sensitivity and preferences of the role models and lifestyles of the examinees.

American families' need for out-of-home childcare increases at an accelerated rate each year; yet our society lacks a policy for—and even a national commitment to—high-quality daycare. Such a national policy needs to be formulated within an examination of the tensions between social and familial childrearing. This essay explores these contextual issues from a historical perspective. The essay discusses: first, changes in the family as they relate to changes in the economy and polity; second, the role of the family as the basis for the young child's self-identity and internalization of society's values and practices; and third, the potential implications of changing patterns of the structure and functioning of the American family. Finally, the essay examines historical and current daycare policy and practice in relation to the family and the broader social structure.

The family as a living system is an organizedand permanent whole with changing patterns of human behavior, ie the family is the first life and social environment in which the child finds himself and acquires the first experiences that form the starting point of the overall development of the individual. In addition to the family, the time that the child spends in school is relatively long, and accordingly, she manages to achieve her influence on the development and formation of the student's personality. The cooperation established between the family and the school can contribute to both parties in different ways, improving the general atmosphere, the school climate and improving the work of teachers and providing support for the development of the family and parenting skills. By studying the relevant literature, we want to determine the importance of cooperation between the family and the school for the development of students' personalities, which is also the basic goal. The paper uses the historical method, as the basic method of historical research and analysis of the content of pedagogical documentation.

A social-psychological and historical context for understanding contemporary sex roles, fertility, parenting, and the family is provided by reviewing origins and objectives of the Women's Movement. Feminist efforts to change social structures affecting women's choice of roles and fertility require continued attention. Increased voluntary childlessness seriously challenges the concept of motherhood as central to adult feminine identity and legitimization of choice in whether or not to become a parent provides a new context for studying women, sex roles, fertility, and their complex relationships to the social structure. Continued challenges to premises, methodologies, and conclusions of such research are urged.

In today’s world, the life styles of people have totally changed because of the changes in the physical and socio-cultural environment with the advent of information technology. This new life style has led to stress. A Women Teacher is adversely affected by the Professional life Stress as it lowers his ability to function effectively. The study has been conducted to investigate the levels of Professional life Stress and Family Adjustment of the women Teachers. It also examines the relationship between the Professional life Stress and Family Adjustment of the women Teachers. The study was made on a random sample of 500 teachers in Cuddalore district. The tools used in the study were the Family Dyadic Adjustment Scale by Spanier and Professional Stress Inventory for Teachers by Sheeja. The study reveals the fact that the level of Professional life Stress and Family Adjustment of the women Teachers are at high levels.
