The advent of globalisation has necessitated a sea-change in all economic fronts; so too on the social and educational spheres. Education today has to cope-up with needs of corporates and this has made it necessary on the part of teachers to impart relevant education to students to face upto the requirements of industry. Performance evaluation thus assumes a vital role; but care and restraint should be exercised while performance evaluation is carried out.
