One type of cancer that is capable identified using MRI technology is breast cancer. Breast cancer is still the leading cause of death world. therefore early detection of this disease is needed. In identifying breast cancer, a doctor or radiologist analyzing the results of magnetic resonance image that is stored in the format of the Digital Imaging Communication In Medicine (DICOM). It takes skill and experience sufficient for diagnosis is appropriate, andaccurate, so it is necessary to create a digital image processing applications by utilizing the process of object segmentation and edge detection to assist the physician or radiologist in identifying breast cancer. MRI image segmentation using edge detection to identification of breast cancer using a method stages gryascale change the image format, then the binary image thresholding and edge detection process using the latest Robert operator. Of the20 tested the input image to produce images with the appearance of the boundary line of each region or object that is visible and there are no edges are cut off, with the average computation time less than one minute.

The presented paper utilizes the basic theory of the envelope surface in differential geometry to investigate the undercutting line, the contact boundary line and the limit normal point of conjugate surfaces in gearing. It is proved that (1) the edges of regression of the envelope surfaces are the undercutting line and the contact boundary line in theory of gearing respectively, and (2) the limit normal point is the common tangent point of the two edges of regression of the conjugate surfaces. New equations for the undercutting line, the contact boundary line and the limit normal point of the conjugate surfaces are developed based on the definition of the edges of regression. In 2020 Greece and Italy concluded a maritime delimitation agreement, extending the already-established boundary line between their respective continental shelf areas to the other maritime areas to which they are entitled under international law. The Greek authorities hailed the agreement as a great success, stressing that it fully reflects their position vis-à-vis maritime delimitation in the Mediterranean and it meets their national interests in the Ionian Sea. This article critically analyzes the agreement, in the light of various recent events, and it finds that it serves Italian interests too. In particular, the 2020 Italo-Greek agreement furthers Italy’s growing interest in delimiting the maritime zones to which it is entitled under international law, so as to prevent its rights and jurisdiction over them being impaired by the proclamation of overlapping zones by its neighbours. It also sets the stage for future proclamation by Italy of an EEZ covering the waters adjacent to its territorial sea in the Ionian Sea.

The overlapping of the sciences is made the subject of much rhetorical writing now-a-days, and its appreciation is one of the most prominent signs of the modern development of the doctrine of Continuity which has been so fruitful in the Philosophy of Discovery. The boundary-line which once separated the geologist and ethnologist has in consequence of this development entirely disappeared, and every one now admits as a postulate that between the two sciences there is a stretch of neutral ground belonging to neither exclusively, and where the students of each must of necessity reap if their harvest is to be complete. Not only so, but it is beginning to be seen that the methods and the directions of the arguments in each science being more or less different—the one partaking much more of the historical, and the other of the experimental method—that it is well that where they overlap the results of each should be closely compared, and thus not only secure a double modicum of certitude, but also suggest fresh veins of untried material where we may put in our mattock with renewed hope of solving some apparently hopeless problems.

Permanent and seasonal area closures are a common regulatory strategy in multispecies fisheries; however, few studies have closely examined seasonal closures. We examined the impact of the Browns Bank spawning closure on the spatial distribution of fishing effort and how the fleet utilized a “fishing the line” strategy. Generalized estimating equations were used to examine changes in effort distribution when the closure was and was not in effect. Effort displaced from the bank concentrated primarily within two areas up to 30 km from the closure boundary, one along the east boundary line and one along the west. Trends in catch rate (as value) with distance from the line were further examined using generalized additive models during the closed period, with results differing between regions. In the east, areas of greater catch rate could be identified and typically corresponded to areas of greater effort, while in the west region, no trends in catch rates were often observed, potentially indicating vessel distributions that correspond to the ideal free distribution. Implementation of a seasonal area closure on Browns Bank resulted in concentrations of vessels near the closure boundary, suggestive of a fishing the line strategy, with specific catch rate trends depending on vessel spatial distributions and target species.
