In view of the variation law of water level in water injection drill between dou?ble-system layers of hard rock strata in Datong mining zone, the failure process and mechanism of boreholes during propulsion are analyzed by the numerical sim?ulation and the test measurement in this paper. After the coal seam is fully mined, it can be divided into the advanced deformation zone, the bending deformation zone and the compaction stable zone. Borehole damage intensifies from top to bottom. The junction of siltstone and sandy mudstone is a high-risk position. The results are verified by the water level measurement and the borehole peeping.

This study investigated the mechanism, prevention measures, and control methods for earthquake disasters typically occurring in mines with thick and hard rock strata. A mine stope with large faults and thick hard rock strata in Hebei Province was taken as the background study object. Then, theoretical analysis and numerical simulation methods were adopted in conjunction with field monitoring to explore how horizontal stress evolves in the thick and hard hanging roofs of such mines, potentially leading to mining earthquakes. Then, based on the obtained results, a mining design method was proposed to reduce the horizontal stress levels of earthquake mitigation. The results showed that, under the control of large faults, semiopen and semiclosed stopes with thick hard rock strata are formed, which cause influentially pressurized and depressurized zones during the evolution of the overburden movements and horizontal stress. It was determined that the stress concentrations mainly originated from the release and transfer of horizontal stress during the rock fractures and movements in the roof areas, which were calculated using a theoretical estimation model. The horizontal stress concentrations formed “counter torques” at both ends of the thick and hard strata, which prevented the support ending due to tensile failures. As a result, the limit spans were increased. This study proposed a mining strategy of using narrow working faces, strip mining processes, and reasonable mining speeds, which could effectively reduce horizontal stress concentrations and consequently prevent and control mining earthquakes. This study’s research results were successfully applied to the mining practices in working face 16103.

The use of Zaozhuang of Shandong province coal mine area is tao chong lu 15 Well and meteorological observation data, the three elements of observation Wells with tao chong effect comparing the dynamic characteristics of the mines. It is difficult to determine whether the stress state of the aquifer system in which the well was observed before the collapse has changed because of the water level in the deep well of Lu15 well on the original curve. Nakai fitting model is adopted to calculate the earth tide response amplitude factor ratio based on the water level data of Lu15 well, and the possibility of collapse caused by stress change is discussed in combination with non-natural seismic events in Taozhuang Coal mine

The design and construction of a device prototype for a water level measurement system in a tank and controlling a number of garden light analogies has been carried-out and the prototype can be integrated into smarthome system. Three topics are discussed in this paper, including the manufacture, programming, and performance measurement of device prototypes. The formation of prototype of the device is done through wiring integration between electronic devices, in order to obtain the hardware handshacking. Programming the prototype of device is done through the creation of algorithms and preparation of syntax, in order to obtain the software handshacking. The performance of the prototype of device is measured when integrated into the Smarthome system, in order to obtain the hardware and software handshacking. The performance of prototype of the device when monitoring in the form of information about the water level in the water tank with 3 (three) conditions, namely the criteria of "empty", "medium", and "full", while the control in the form of information about the operation of ON/OFF of the LED as an analogy to the lamp garden are done for 3 (three) positions, namely position #1, #2, and #3. The manufactured subsystem prototype can be integrated into the smarthome system when a validation test is performed. Prototype of the device for monitoring and control based-on web that can be integrated into the smarthome system.

With advancement in technology and ever-changing weather conditions, accurate and affordable water level measurement systems has become necessary for farmers. This therefore brings about the need for a system incorporating the use of IoT technology that will monitor water levels at a cost-effective price with accurate and dependable results. The prototype will monitor water levels on a regular basis and the data captured will be stored in a database to help farmers improve the way they manage their water resource. Farmers will be able to monitor the water levels from any location at any given time. This chapter focuses on a Smart Water Level Monitoring System for Farmers and provides a smart way to manage water resources on farms in the most cost-effective and convenient manner for farmers.
